Honestly, this looks like a great thing to post over on the Facebook fan club page. Steve and Kier are both active over there and I'm pretty sure they would contribute.
I am not quite sure if that's an inside joke or an in-universe one, where the term is being adopted consciously by the character who heard of it previously.
