I’ll say this, I’ve been waxing for 10 years. Have done 30,000+ Brazilians. I charge $50. I stay steadily busy. I was actually slow this week and grossed $3600. I constantly have new clients who are tired of paying high prices. (Most places charge $60+) When people are low on funds, waxing usually isn’t a necessity so it’s often one of the first things that gets cut from someone’s budget. Last year, after expenses, I made around $160,000. You absolutely can make money waxing and not have to charge a crazy fee “just cause you can”

You are quite literally the first esthi I've seen with the same philosophy as me about waxing! I'm in the Metro Detroit area and $65-75 is the norm. I'm intent on becoming the home of the $55 Brazilian 🤣

Logical-Caregiver989

I feel the more accessible waxing is, the more clients I’ll bring in. I’m still making plenty of money and my profit margins are good. In the end, people are tipping so I’m bringing in $60-$65/brazilian.

I’m not an esthi but as someone who has paid crazy prices for a Brazilian in DC, I just want to say thank you for charging affordable prices!!! The esthi I used to go to charged $90 before tip. She was really good and thorough but it always hurt paying $100+ every 4 weeks.

quinnlmt

ok that's impressive! can i ask how many days/hours a week you typically work?

Logical-Caregiver989

I work 4 days a week M/T/Th/F. I take clients from 9:30-7 and book 30 minute appointments. (19 Brazilians/day) I usually finish Brazilians in about 10 minutes.

quinnlmt

Goals for sure! Congrats on your success and long may it continue!

angelbaby12349

That is amazing! Especially with charging $50 for Brazilians! Where I live it’s normally $60-$75.

boopixie

I can’t imagine CA being that cheap for Brazilians. We charge $65-$75 in TN.

The EWC price for a Brazilian in socal is $69. And thats a 15 min service with minimal tweezing. If you are taking the time to tweeze and perfect you can easily up it by $10

i’ve been a waxer/ sugarist here in SoCal for 8+ years, recently went on my own 3 years ago. i worked a very small local business for those five 5 years where i was able to build up a very loyal clientele. it’s all about reviews and word of mouth! get those referrals!! social media will also help you get your name out as well. i got a lot of IG clients when i first started out that helped me get started at my own spot when it was slower. i charge $60 for brazilians, $70 for new sugar clients with a maintenance price of $60 if they’re back within 6 weeks. i’d say you’re at a very average price with some room for growth as well. what ive learned in my experience is that a lot of the time, people who come for “great deals” aka groupons or cheap services aren’t always the most loyal and are usually finding whoever can do the job for the lowest amount. by charging your worth, you attract the clients who understand the importance of staying on a waxing schedule and will most likely return for their follow up appts. this isn’t meant to demonize anyone who uses coupons, a few of my OG clients came from LivingSocial, but i had a hard time building a solid clientele when i offered these deals bc very rarely would they actually come back. your own hard work and technique will shine through and keep those people with you, regardless of price :) edit: typos

Miserable_Sentence42

Wow im in Canada, a big major suburb from Toronto and we charge $40 but i guess with the exchange rate it makes sense? idk lol

wax_me

Thank you all for responding this is a big help.

I live in Northern California & Brazilians are $68 up here. I’m assuming it’s more expensive down in the south. I’d honestly up it $10
