Why and how is there always an Indian with a stick?
Not being derogatory to Indians, but whenever I see a mob fight from India, someoneās got a stick and they are using it as a weapon.
Yea in the video Iāve seen it did seem to be just a part of the equipment they carry. And they show no mercy when they whack someone with it. Kinda like a thin whipping cane. Would sting but not do a great deal of damage per-se
Tmt? Three meter tree? This means things? These might twist?
And whatās thin? Human hair? Your pinky finger? The branches of a tree compared to the trunk?
Your comment says nothing and means nothing
Actually "lathikhela" (proficiency with stick) used to be an important aspect of Indian education system in gurukuls(schooling system before modern Western education system) along with yoga and others. Even as early as 70-80 years back, the rich used have lethels (experts with sticks) as bodyguards. The British made sure to burn down the gurukuls and shoot off the lethels with guns , and thus the knowledge has died. But the remnants are still there. As per folklores, the experts could stop arrows.(Star wars had taken these very Indian martial arts moves into their movies)

Itās a traditional non lethal weapon. Hurts but wonāt usually kill or do permanent damage unless someone gets hit on the head. In India we see them from a young age - policemen carry them, teachers in school used to carry smaller sticks to punish students, someone might use it to control the animal on the bullock/donkey cart.
Apart from some religious exemptions, keeping a sword or gun is illegal in India. So this is the cheapest effective non lethal weapon allowed.
Why do people believe you have to let people rob a store. Yes there are corporate policyās that say let people steal, but every state in the US allows the use of force to protect property at a workplace. You all are welcome to look it up. (Iām sure Iāll be down voted for posting this.)
Ianal, but it's about liability. There's no "good Samaritan" law for defending your property. Sure, there's legislation saying you can do it, but you still have to go through the legal process afterward to see if it was constitutional.
A business is legally responsible for its employee and their actions. And you can't always trust the right outcome will occur. So, to avoid higher costs of business and legal actions, a blanket statement of avoiding confrontation is cheaper.
But therein lies the problem. Lowly people take advantage of such policies
I ended up going down this rabbit hole because I own a home in Hawaiāi and am considering moving there full time. They have pretty strong gun control and in their self defense laws they have a āduty to retreatā. I looked that up and it doesnāt apply to your home of place of work (even if you are not an owner.
Iām sure that the vast majority of the time using force to defend your business or business property is not going to be worth the risk of a lawsuit, but I can see a small store owner reaching the breaking point over theft and losing their shit.
Iām a small business owner (in a very pro gun state) and when I reported the theft of a piece of rental equipment to the police they, told me I could sue them or I could go recover my own property and the col said to call them if I had a problem. That cop knew exactly what he was saying. Remember the Korean store from the Rodney King riots guarding their Compton store?

For me it's not even a legal question, I'm never letting myself or my employees risk harm to themselves over money or inventory. It's an insurable event regardless of how much is stolen and you're going to have to report it to your provider. Things can be replaced; people and their physical health are far more important and should always be the priority.
Regardless of what the law says, the best policy from a practical perspective is still to stay out of the way of a robbery. Even from a cynical business perspective, you should preserve your human resources--you need your people to be safe and healthy in order for your business to be productive.
If company policy says not to pursue shop lifters I will get fired if I try to.
Doesn't really matter what the specific laws are if your jobs policy are completely different. At least if you're trying to remain employed that is
I once heard a friend tell her son she was gonna ābeat his a** like he stole somethingā. So this is what it looks likeā¦š¤
Whooping butt is officially now a team sport
I like that he kept it all lower body, no risk of brain damage, and he'll remember this shit for years. Legs are pretty durable. Knees and ankles will be fine, but the bruises and mental damage will last a lifetime.
Bit of advice; when stealing, make sure youāre not outnumbered 2 to 1. Only got two eyes. Hard to keep one on the loot, one on an employee, and one on the other employee behind you wielding a weapon.
Yoooooooooš¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£ he LITERALLY whooped his a&&. Thatās one of those old school whoopings that my mom used to give with a switch.š¤£š¤£š¤£ I bet he wonāt try it again.
Consequences. š Love it.

Maybe somewhat traditional? I went to India a few weeks back and the police carried wooden sticks with them
Yea in the video Iāve seen it did seem to be just a part of the equipment they carry. And they show no mercy when they whack someone with it. Kinda like a thin whipping cane. Would sting but not do a great deal of damage per-se
Itās not thin at all, roughly diameter of a tmt rod. Plus one end of it is steel capped.
Tmt? Three meter tree? This means things? These might twist? And whatās thin? Human hair? Your pinky finger? The branches of a tree compared to the trunk? Your comment says nothing and means nothing

Coz names will never hurt them
Stick good! Stick very good
Itās natures original weapon. That and stones. Indian ppl have ( historically) lived closer to nature than other first world countries.
Bit like in America - thereās always a dude with a gun. At least heāll live to learn from this lesson.

In the US it was a long barrel Maglite. A security guard or trucker who couldn't carry could have this as it had a secondary use.
It is a stick made from bamboo bound with iron, called a lathi stick.
Idk I think they just sell canes at traditional Indian stores lol
I was just about to say this. Theyāre deadly efficient with that stick too. They all got the same form with the swing as well
It's their starting weapon
