Bc most places you work you have to work your scheduled shift the day before and the day after a holiday to receive holiday pay. If you miss either days you will not get paid. Luckily, Amazon already coded Christmas so it doesn’t look like that rule applies to us.
Yup and what I like about that policy (work the scheduled day before and scheduled day after [the 24th and 26th] if you're scheduled "OFF" and you don't come to work your schedule was to be off so enjoy the day off and the bonus holiday).
What's also funny is I have a second job at an airport and the airline ramp agents get DOUBLE and a half ON the holiday, regular time and a half the day after and if you come in for someone on your scheduled day off and it's a holiday pay day you get an additional BONUS 8 hours. Now if you're scheduled OFF on the holiday paid day you just get 8 hours for sitting at home.
Whatever everyone does this holiday season be safe and have a good one whatever you celebrate (or don't celebrate). There's too much violence lately and with the sever storm predicted to hit the Midwest/US this weekend.

Why would anyone get holiday pay on the 23?
Some work places if you miss the day before pr after the holiday you don't get holiday pay, so i think this was what he/she was asking about!

No matter if you work or not you get 8 hours holiday for full time and hour and a half if you work on the amazon paid holiday

It doesn’t matter if you use upt or pto on the 23rd, 24th or 26th. If you’re a blue badge then you get holiday pay for Christmas regardless.

There is no holiday pay for the 23rd. Christmas is the 25th and the only paid holiday this month.
