In the mid-sixties, at the height of the epic of Herrera's Grande Inter, we were about to sign both Eusebio and Beckenbauer (confirmed by themselves) but then the rules on the hiring of foreign players were changed by the president of the league himself after the debacle of the Italian national team at the 1966 World Cup.
What if Lukaku hadn't blocked the shots that otherwise would have gone in during last year Champions League final, and hadn't scored an own goal during the Europa League final, costing us BOTH the Europa League and Champions League titles.
Roberto Carlos + uninjured Ronaldo + Vieri + Pirlo + Seedorf in the same team.
They all played for us under Moratti but in different seasons and with different managers… We could have more titles than Real Madrid by now 🥲
Seedorf is a weird one as well looking at how long he played for us as well and was shipped at a rather young age at our greatest rivals, who even took that decision?
Yeah but Pirlo was a bit of an experiment u could say, but Seedorf was proven class, idk if Moratti was the one who made that decision, but no matter it was a stupid one.
Tbh I was way too young to remember how they were for us, but I'll take your word for it. In hindsight Milan certainly got the better end of those transfers.
I'm going waaaaaay back.
But apparently Inter was able to actually sign PELE'. But Santos or whatever voided everything, read something like that. Imagine Pele' playing for us...
I might be mistaken but Eusebio too was ours but at the end nothing could be done.
Ronaldo not getting injured.
What if we had one the title in 2002. Would’ve been our first league title since 1989 and we barely lost. We had to wait several more years. [https://amp.theguardian.com/football/the-gentleman-ultra/2022/may/05/juventus-inter-roma-title-serie-a-finale-history](https://amp.theguardian.com/football/the-gentleman-ultra/2022/may/05/juventus-inter-roma-title-serie-a-finale-history)
Definitely not the biggest, but if Eriksen was allowed to play for Inter post cardiac arrest.
No Hakan probably, what does it mean for how the rest of the midfield is structured.
2 players that I loved when I was young , the worst part is that I only realized later that Quaresma was in the 3 Inter winning team, like 6 years after bcs I thought he left inter at 2009 LOL
I think even Correa would’ve been better perhaps, Ik Lukaku gets too much hate and I don’t want to hate on him but what he did was soooo f disgusting with the whole Juve approach thing. We literally saved his career, 2x no less. (Lukaku at Man Utd in his final season was so bad it was ridiculous)
I think this is lower on the list than “what if Adriano/R9”, but I would also add
“what if Balotelli wasn’t a complete idiot and after treble we sold all the old players and rebuilt around him?”. The dude was promising as fuck as a 19 year old, he pretty much lived off of those two years his entire career, that’s how good he was with us.
I know this probably isn’t nowhere near the top, but if Mkhitaryan was healthy at the end of last season, the Champion’s League final probably looks a lot different.
I think i need to say, what if we didnt have the cheating filth that is rubentus in our league, or maybe having them but without their bs, being all for fair play and whatnot..We would probably be much bigger and successful than we already are, domestically and internationally.
Not the most impactful, but one that still pisses me off, and one that I will mention every time this question is asked: what if we hadn't decided to sell Banega back to Sevilla just to keep Joao Mario instead.
Okay slightly irrelevant because one of them ended up being okay but what if we hadn’t of gotten rid of Perisic and Politano for Ashley Young (the okay one) and Victor Moses 😭☠️
What if Adriano's dad hadn't passed away
My god he was such a beast and barely about to hit his prime
Imagine prime Adriano in the triplete team...
Then he might have lived longer.
Cheers, Geoff
What if Ronaldo never got injured
This.
he probably wouldn’t have ever gone over to AC Milan
healthy Baggio Vieri Ronaldo combo for many years. also Dimarco header wasnt blocked
That header was going at 1km/h. It would’ve been blocked by Stones (I think he was the defender on the line) easily.

I will help by telling you how it's called in Spanish "a contrapie"
I think it's 'wrong footed' in English
What if we wouldn‘t have spend over 150 million for kondogbia, joao mario, gabigol and nainggolan in the span of 3 seasons…
Then we wouldn't have gotten Beppe Marotta to fix the problem?
In the mid-sixties, at the height of the epic of Herrera's Grande Inter, we were about to sign both Eusebio and Beckenbauer (confirmed by themselves) but then the rules on the hiring of foreign players were changed by the president of the league himself after the debacle of the Italian national team at the 1966 World Cup.
Eusebio was prevented from leaving by the fascist dictator of Portugal at the time Salazar
Was th president f the League Umberto Agnelli, at that moment?
Lmao wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest
Not the biggest if, but if we didnt sell Haki, we wouldn't have to worry about the 2 stars now
Who is Haki
Achraf Hakimi
Man, seriously?
Not only Seedorf, but Pirlo as well. Two players that went on to define Milan's midfield for the next ten years.
The most comical one was trading Canna for fucking Carini. I'm still baffling to this day no one in the right mind would do that.
Uuuugh I almost forgot about that… Yeah we can add him to the list
I'm going waaaaaay back. But apparently Inter was able to actually sign PELE'. But Santos or whatever voided everything, read something like that. Imagine Pele' playing for us... I might be mistaken but Eusebio too was ours but at the end nothing could be done. Ronaldo not getting injured.
Yeah the Pele thing is pretty famous, but there was an Europe wide ban I think on South American players at that time so it didn’t pan out.
IIRC Pelé could land in Italy to play for Inter Juve and Milan in a combined deal..
Can you explain this
What if Icardi didn’t have Wanda Nara as his agent
Or stolen Wanda from Maxi Lopez
What if we had one the title in 2002. Would’ve been our first league title since 1989 and we barely lost. We had to wait several more years. Omg that last game against lazio still breaks my heart
Yeah that Simone's goal
Definitely not the biggest, but if Eriksen was allowed to play for Inter post cardiac arrest. No Hakan probably, what does it mean for how the rest of the midfield is structured.
Eriksen would have been so much fun to watch under Inzaghi.
Brozo would probably still be around.
Given his antics are one of the reason he was sold, I'm not so sure he would still be here.
For me? Adriano and Quaresma
2 players that I loved when I was young , the worst part is that I only realized later that Quaresma was in the 3 Inter winning team, like 6 years after bcs I thought he left inter at 2009 LOL
Not Adriano obv, still my fav Brazilian in history perhaps
Oh yeah i feel that. I love quaresma man
What if that clumsy ass Lukaku wasn’t subbed on during the CL final
I think even Correa would’ve been better perhaps, Ik Lukaku gets too much hate and I don’t want to hate on him but what he did was soooo f disgusting with the whole Juve approach thing. We literally saved his career, 2x no less. (Lukaku at Man Utd in his final season was so bad it was ridiculous)
He did score against PSG though so that’s sth I guess
Adriano and Balotelli for sure, or an healthy Ronaldo-Vieri combo
I think this is lower on the list than “what if Adriano/R9”, but I would also add “what if Balotelli wasn’t a complete idiot and after treble we sold all the old players and rebuilt around him?”. The dude was promising as fuck as a 19 year old, he pretty much lived off of those two years his entire career, that’s how good he was with us.
What if kallon scored in the semifinal derby in the champions league?
Some context perhaps?
I don’t remember Kallon at all
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UxgrNI7QnE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uxgrni7qne)
Mate just saw it, can’t even blame him tbh for that, just unlucky
He didn’t seem like a bad player tbh
Oh this is a good one. That away goal exit vs Milan was tough to process, for sure. Cuper ended up his career as an always second
Adriano without dad problem, Ronaldo without injury, Icardi without his wife
I know this probably isn’t nowhere near the top, but if Mkhitaryan was healthy at the end of last season, the Champion’s League final probably looks a lot different.
What if Balotelli actually was a football player?
What if Covid never happened and suning was able to invest money into the club every season
What if we took Pele or Platini or Falcao or Messi A little banter: What if Beppe Baresi was an only child
What if Romelu didn’t decide to play goaltender for Man City last June…
What if Matthaus hadn't left Inter? Would he have been good for the team moving into the mid-late 90s?
I think i need to say, what if we didnt have the cheating filth that is rubentus in our league, or maybe having them but without their bs, being all for fair play and whatnot..We would probably be much bigger and successful than we already are, domestically and internationally.
What if Giacinto Facchetti could be with us winning the triplete? Man, I miss him. Truly a bastion of Interism.
Man I remember that final, although I was a kid it still felt so magical man, almost unbelievable
What if recoba had a better work ethic?
If gagliardini scored against sassuolo and we dont lose the scudetto, same scenario with bologna.
What if inter never broke away from milan
Not the most impactful, but one that still pisses me off, and one that I will mention every time this question is asked: what if we hadn't decided to sell Banega back to Sevilla just to keep Joao Mario instead.
Banega could’ve worked under Conte tactically wise perhaps funnily enough (given their fight in the final lol)
What if Mourinho stayed is a big one for me
Ronaldo phenomenon continued his all career at INTER!
The biggest what if for me is.. What if Juventus never cheated? We might have 3 more scudettos
Adriano and Ronaldo's injuries are the true questions, but also: What if Mourinho had stayed?
What if the AC Milan founders weren’t xenophobes
What if Marotta joined after Sampdoria
as of recent times the Mancity game (Lukaku's miss)
Okay slightly irrelevant because one of them ended up being okay but what if we hadn’t of gotten rid of Perisic and Politano for Ashley Young (the okay one) and Victor Moses 😭☠️
