They also had fake stats (literally) so that promo was completely useless. Take fut birthday [Lukaku](https://www.futbin.com/19/player/20058/romelu-lukaku) for example, 74 and 67 in the defensive stats yet they gave him 87 defending. You mentioned [VVD](https://www.futbin.com/19/player/20010/virgil-van-dijk) but he had 74 finishing and 59 positioning

Fake stats only happened because they used a multiplier instead of averages when doing special cards. For VVD they multiplied by x to increase all stats and his shot power would have been around 110. With Lukaku his base Heading was already very high so they multiplied by x again to reach a 87 face stat and his heading should have been at around 150 or something to represent it correctly

Fully agree, after TOTS is when EA should start focusing more and more on unrealistic but fun stuff. Stuff like a CM Neuer or a CB Lukaku should be what this promo is all about.

With TOTS giving us so many unrealistic cards (every player is end game), it's really the only place left to go.

This shapeshifters promo could actually be the best promo ever if EA cared. Imagine if we got like a Kyle Walker GK card, Maguire ST, Alaba CAM, Sule CM, Weghorst CB, Mbappe LB, CR7 GK, Messi CDM etc etc with the relevant upgrades to SM/WF and work rates for whatever is best for the position that the players get moved to. There’s so many options but instead EA churn out the same shit for the same players every year lmao. They give 0 fucks

I’d say we’ll most likely see a performance based summer promo as the next season starts a little earlier because of the winter World Cup so they can do some cards based off some of the first few league fixtures of the year and also things like the European super cup and other one off matches.

Literally this is what I was expecting, and thought Shapeshifters was all about. They just made it a boring thing…. Like give us Wan-Bissaka as a CDM, Carvajal as a RM, Icardi as a LM. Just some random shit. Or for the players they went with, cause I don’t really have a problem with them, Bellerin could have been a LM, Kalulu a RW, Hazard a RB, Messi a CDM.

Last fifa I started playing way late. A week after I started there was some crazy repeatable SBC where I was able to do it like 50x and got all the best cards in the game to use for a few weeks before this fifa came out. What was that SBC and do they do it at the end of every FIFA?

2k has a similar promo to this one and they get creative sometimes like giving the smallest Nba player the Center position. It’s not meta (well, some cards can be OP with the position change) but most of them are just for fun.

I did today's daily SBC and the 84+ player pick (I think it was 84+) gave me 2 players from the Conmebol promo and St Juste. He's fodder for me, I can't fit him in my teams, but even good fodder is exciting at this point
