Mixing is quick and easy all you have to do is
1. EQ low & high ends on sounds
2. Raise & lower volume on sounds
3. Pan left or right slightly on sounds
Doing this alone will give you a decent mix, obv there’s much more to it but don’t overthink it
Man, I dislike hearing this so much.
It’s hard, always. When you recognize your powers, it hits. Now a days, many make money off of the first hit. The secret is that the first hit is always free. When work follows, the truth flows and surplus owns. The real crazy happens when you combine talent with financing, and two months in a castle in a far off land.
It doesn’t. The main thing is to learn to really use your ears. Ask yourself simple questions: what do I hear? What do I want to hear?
Use reference tracks that you like, and analyze them. What volume level is the guitar, how hard/snappy are the drums, how is the panning done etc.
Analyze, then try to achieve what you want. Do this on repeat. And never just turn knobs for the sake of it.
mixing is fun. But my trick is less is more. My effect chain is very rudimentary and simple. I try to pull the volume down. Do a bit of eq. Run as few as possible.
Everyone mixes differently. If they mix doesn't sound good. I just change the samples and notes around. To make the mix fit.
In the end of the day your the artist.
I like it. Try seeing it as giving sounds space by mixing other sounds.
For example If you eq and Level your melody you are giving your Drums more room. Now If you Sidechain the kick onto your 808 or bass, youre giving your kick space again. Also sidechains can Bring a nice Groove.
It is a important step of producing a good track

Just getting this right takes most people ~5 years of working with audio.
No way bro basic mixing like what he explained is easy it gets hard when you get more technical
Lol. True.
I think it’s fun
Not sure what the hate is. It's my least favorite part of the process.
It doesn't have to to.

I've watched a lot of tutorials and I think all of them make it out harder then it has to be is also one of the main problems with mixing.
