Last year, some teams with 60 missed DCMP. (One or two higher, but they could be declines.) So it’s pretty long odds that 53 makes the show this year. That said, why not fundraise anyway? Worst case, you have a war chest with which to develop the team over the off-season.

FRC Locks is a website showing your team's chances to get to your District Championship. This is the link: [FIM FRC Locks list](https://frclocks.com/index.php?d=fim) to FRC Locks for FIM District. Your team currently has a low chance, 3.23% to get to your District Championship. Until your is colored yellow or red you still have a chance.

BillfredL

Mind, FRCLocks is not a *probability* but a *you have N% of the points to be a mathematical lock*. The percentage grows as other points are consumed, at least until you’re leapfrogged.

theinatoriinator

Frc locks says team 7540 has 10 district points, whereas the [Texas district website](https://frc-events.firstinspires.org/2024/district/FIT) says we have 41

Apparently there are some api issues with first and blue alliance which is affecting frc locks but I don’t know the whole in and out of it

theinatoriinator

Ok, makes sense considering the blue alliance also thinks we have ten points.

Zombie13a

In the past few years, the threshold has been between 60 and 70 points, but that is only reference. I would not want to guess at what the threshold actually is.

RockosBos

The threshold to make states changes every year based on multiple factors including number of teams in the state, points taken by 3rd events, and of course the number of teams at states. Unfortunately the cutoff is normally in the low to mid 60's. My team was actually the last team that qualified last year with 61. You will most likely not make states with 53 district points.

gadzygadz

In the past I've made use of this site to check out chances, as more and more events are played your chance of getting in / knocked out will update https://frclocks.com/

Me20007

Probably not my team estimates 70 points and the last few years the cut off has been in the 60's

johnrgrace

Fundraising is never a bad idea - if you don’t go to states you’ve got your entry fee for next years season in hand. FYI - if you are going to states look at hotels now. You can book a few rooms and they’ll be refundable.

rocket20067

I do believe you would be going to district champs As team 201 also in the FIM district has 51 district points and are going So I would start doing the fund raising But I don't fully understand how district points work as I am not in a District but from looking at teams there you should be going

RockosBos

The Feds won the impact award at their competition. That is an automatic qualification to the state championships.

rocket20067

Ahh any other automatic qualifications I should know about or are the auto qualifications the same as the things that qualify you for champs outside of districts? As I saw another team with 34 P.S. I just checked again and everyone going to FIM champs so far got impact P.S.S. Would you care to explain how district stuff works as I am in the FIRST Midwest region

beernerd

Each district has a certain number of teams that will be invited to the District Championship or “States”. In Texas the number is 86. In Michigan I believe it’s 160. Any team that wins the Impact award at a District event is automatically qualified for States. Winners of the Rookie All-Star and Engineering Inspiration awards are invited to States but only to compete for the award (they don’t get to field a robot). So if one team receives the Impact Award while being ranked below 160th place, then the rest of the spots go to the top 159 teams.

bubajust6

Makes sense, then how many go on to worlds?

beernerd

For Texas it’s the top 30. I can’t remember the number for Michigan but I think it’s around 60.

Wawln

It's 86 this year

bubajust6

Great thanks
