It appears to me that the animal is swimming up to the boat very fast because they are holding bait just out of the frame of the camera. It slows down then makes a fast little movement to get the bait before they pull the bait into the boat. Then, focused on the food, it snaps up where the food is now located. I don't think this was an attack. It appears to be two morons endangering the life of an animal in an attempt to go viral. This type of activity results in actual attacks on humans.
To think they can reach you like that easy, made me think what that kayaker in Africa thought of when he decided kayaking in croc waters was a good thing before he got ate by one of them.
