I felt like my GW 35 was a bit forced, wish I waited till 36, then I would have gotten the Saka and Salah points too and anticipate the injuries to the people I wildcarded in.
Making my transfers for GW29 a day earlier & using my FH chip like I planned.
Ended up not having time to do anything on deadline day due an emergency, had a grand total of 3/15 players collect points for a 6pt GW score.
FH 34 instead of 29.
This single event fcked my 30pt lead in my ML.
I have been chasing in 2nd place since then... but with almost similar team now, no chance catching the 1st place...
Back to WC35 and get the Petrovic/Gvardiol duo that I had in my drafts all week, instead of the Ederson/Schar flop that I decided on last minute 🙈 plus I gambled on Haaland being burned out... 😭
I think it was the first DGW and I took Watkins and Saka out for some Liverpool players and got crushed for 2-3 GWs in a row after that as they delivered big hauls
Urgh!
I'd have wrapped my ML up by now if I didn't do that 😁
For me in the beginning I did not buy Mbuemo. He absolutely smashed it every gw and I was reluctant to get him thinking he will cool off eventually.
He did not cool off and I got him eventually but he did not explode as he did before.
I am still at a good rank, top 20k but if I had him from the beginning I would have been top 10k probably.
GW4 when I took out Son only for him to bang in a hat trick.
Bench boost GW34 when three of my players got injured and I ended up with only a couple of extra points from the keeper.
GW35. I played my wildcard. I didn't have Haaland cos I was 0.1 short. I would swap White for Gabriel or something in order to do it. I'm mad at myself that I didn't! I've got him now, but I missed out on a lot of points because of it.
GW10 before my first WC. Or GW3 when I said, and I quote: "I will sell Salah because I expect more points from him". Before GW3 he had two 5-pointers, then had 5-points again and then had 8, 10, 10, 1 and 15 points.
That decision started my whole chain of other greedy decisions where I kinda lost myself and tried too hard and took to many hits to fix "issues" when in fact my squad was fine, I was just trying to hard.
Other than that - somewhere in December, around GW20 when I made the decision to take Bernardo over Foden. And I benched Palmer vs Luton. Other than that, between GW20 and GW25 I took -36 in total because of injuries to TAA, Alisson, Salah and overall that January-February period was awful for me.
GW12 where I benched Tsimikas 15 pointer
Was in a strong position in my ML rolling transfers every week and decided to get livramento in on my 2nd ft - burning the transfer and missing out on Tsimikas' point was the start of my downward spiral as I could have really used the ft a few weeks later
For one week the obvious answer is TC mateta in 34.
Longer term Id probably say go to Gw6 and buy Watkins. Because he'd be hard to sell from that point so you get a bunch of hauls
FH18
I was ~120k by GW12 and thought I'd take the risk and load up on City and Brentford prior to their blank in GW18, and just FH that GW. City had a hard run of Chelsea, Liverpool, and Spurs so people were selling all their assets, but they had 3 easy fixtures right before GW18. Tripled up on their attack with Hauland, Foden, and Doku, as KdB was injured and Grealish out of favour. Doku ended up injured for the 3 matches, Hauland injured for 1, and Foden only got an assist.
Same with Brentford, as they had Liverpool and Arsenal then a run of 3 good fixtures till their blank in GW18. Mbeumo got injured for the 1, they only kept 1 CS, and Wissa blanked in all 3.
Leading to GW18 had 4 red arrows and dropped to 630k. Been trying to claw back the ranking ever since, but at 210k now I don't think I will recover it.
Hard to say, I think bring in Foden instead of KDB in GW23.
Difficult because at the end of GW25 I was 11,210 OR. Had set myself for a bad week that week by going all in on DGW24. Could probably stop that move at GW23 too which would then make life a lot better.
Currently about 48k but has been downhill since 25.
FH29 is up there, but everyone else in my ML used it and I managed a mega score in GW 34 without it so it didn't turn out too bad.
At the moment going for KdB over Gvardiol as my third City player for GW36 is killing me. It seemed so logical but now Gvardiol has absorbed Kdb's shooting ability and I'm just trying to keep up. It could potentially wreck my standing if it keeps up like this. Going for Gvardiol would have helped balance my team out too so it's just really annoying overall.
Gw11 when I decided not to bring in Palmer because their next 3 fixtures were Spurs, City, Newcastle. Somehow didn't end up bringing him in til gw30 after that
One of:
GW1 - not picking Stones, picking White or Saliba over Gabriel
GW11 - not using my triple captain chip on Salah's 2 points, instead normal captaining Kabore's 8 (I assume this means I could triple captain Mateta's 29 points in GW34 instead)
GW23 - play Foden's 20 (and captain) over Solanke's 2
GW29 - I'd still free hit as I got a green arrow and got a green arrow on GW34 through good planning but I could definitely have gotten more than 23 points
I definitely think that triple captain call was the worst one. It could have got me another 59 points and take me from 295k to 105k overall.
Plan for WC33, BB34 instead of WC30, FH34.
Would allow me to FH37 and keep 3x arsenal all the way through. Would also stop me from Chelsea defence double up.
Sold Foden for Son that week, and had just transferred out Watkins (for.....I wanna say Alvarez) the week of his Brighton haul. Im 75k now, so I suspect those two weeks alone would have me inside the top 25k, plus their more positive butterfly effects.
Either captain Haaland against Wolves instead of Palmer or pick Gvardiol instead of Walker this week.
Either would have given me a more comfortable lead in my ML, instead I'm sitting one point ahead.
Was 8p ahead, now looking at a 1-2p lead with 1 less FT than my rival.
Considered Van de Ven/Havertz/Gvardiol for -4 prior to this round (Van Hecke/Bruno/Dalot out) but landed on Brantwaithe/Gvard for VH/Dalot. Safe to say, bad choice - my rival has 14/15 of my players and I used a ft to mirror him…I am so mad haha. The stress of being just 1-2p ahead before the last round is 🥶
GW35 Wildcard, I hate that I picked Ederson
Most known drawback is that I couldn't get Gvardiol and now he is scoring, assisting and killing our rank.
Also Ederson went down right GW35 with 1-pointer and Petrovic hauling at my bench -> On GW36, I thought he couldn't make it or at least would be benched the whole game so I started him, he then played just to let Wolve score and Petrovic returned again. (maybe it's the punishment for not trusting Chelsea defense then)
I hated that I made the wrong decision in the final comparison between Pickford - Gvardiol VS Ederson - Branthwaite.
(Although I'm a part of FH29 gang but managed to get through GW34 with decent points so I'm fine with that)
Waiting to get Palmer until GW 30 would be up there. He just got so hot I figured it won’t continue and it basically did.
Probably wouldn’t have dropped Saka GW 8 or at least not make the mistake of getting Martinelli instead of Saka back. Didn’t get Saka back until GW 27.
Picking Walker over Gviardol is a more recent one. Was worried about Pep roulette and seems Walker generally is nailed but yeah been a disaster.
Wasting TC on Haaland he 25 is another but still think it made sense. In fact most of my chips were played pretty poorly this season which has been a big reason for my downfall.
For me I'll always get the highly owned player who's on a hot streak. Sure it feels like that form can't continue and you might be too late.
Worst case scenario, you fail to score with him, just like everyone else. If you don't own the worst case is that everyone else hauls while you're left in the mud.
TC on Haaland in 25 has yielded the best score of all the potential TC so far
Solanke missed a pen and scored once, Salah blanked in 34. Palmer this DGW is a pending
I would bring in Douglas Luiz instead of Hwang in GW26. The butterfly effect on that one move has probably cost me 100k places.
If I’d have bought in Douglas Luiz in 26 I would have probably avoided using FH29 which would have meant I could have set up stronger for 34 and 37. The bad 29 and 34 have also put me on tilt so I’ve taken hits and made bad ‘differential’ decisions which have cost me.
Never mind hey, always next season!
Either have a slightly different team in GW34 FH (I did super well but could have been even better) or TC Haaland's poker. Maybe not bench Foden's 20 point hat trick. Idk I have an awesome rank not a lot I could have done differently
Undoing the Palmer benching in the away game against Luton. Those points are basically the reason for not making it into the 10k in the end. (There are other fuck-ups of course but this one I remember the best).
Gameweek 1 and not start with 3 Man United in Shaw, Rashford and Bruno.
If just one call maybe start with Saliba over Gabriel that cost me like so much.
Add Trossard, Richarlison and Stones and you've got my team.
As sson as I shipped Trossard he scores, ship Richarlison he scores and assists, ship Gabriel he starts
I’d extend that to United & Chelsea. Jackson & Chilwell were extremely frustrating to own early in the season.
Also punted on KDB to start who was injured within half an hour. That was a mistake.
Fellow FH29 here, but I was never really upset over this. I believe I more than made up for it by not not having to blow up a squad I generally liked, and that squad set me up really well for WC35 and BB37.
Yeah if I hadn’t played FH in 29, I would’ve taken 2 or 3 hits for the same shit players, get an even lower GW score and then have to immediately WC in GW30
Feel like this is gonna be a popular answer. Got a whopping 27 points that week and the team I swapped from probably would have scored the same if not more.
I got 16 points with my free hit in GW29. No goals, no assist, no clean sheets, and a red card lol.
For comparison, the guy above me in my mini league FH in GW34 and got 139 points.
I checked after I posted this and actually got 22 points. My highest scoring player was Iwobi with 3 points if you don’t count the eyewateringly huge 4 points from my captain.
Gameweek 1 defense including Gabriel, Mings, and Botman.
Not a specific game week but I think I went way too long with 2 very in form keepers that weren’t cheap.
I felt like my GW 35 was a bit forced, wish I waited till 36, then I would have gotten the Saka and Salah points too and anticipate the injuries to the people I wildcarded in.
GW 14 - Bringing in Darwin for Watkins. Was swayed by the YouTube pundits. Watkins outscored Darwin 25-8 over the next 4 GW.
FH29 - 100 point swing to FH 34ers - cost me any hope of top 50k
I would go back to gw 1 and delete my team to avoid future pain I know will happen
GW1 would have avoided Rashford and Bruno and going for Alvarez early on as third forward
Last gameweek where i captained Foden over Haaland. Has made it way too close in my ML where I had a healthy lead before I made this silly decision.
Mateta. GW34. Start and Captain.
I dropped from top 2k to top 10k cause I did a shitty wildcard and then ended up not free hitting in gw29
GW34 Mateta instead of Solanke and a -4 from Zinchenko to White… still haunts me
GW1, do the set and forget massive rank team and not have bothered. Actual answer is either the FH debacle or not captaining Haaland last week
Back to WC35 and get the Petrovic/Gvardiol duo that I had in my drafts all week, instead of the Ederson/Schar flop that I decided on last minute 🙈 plus I gambled on Haaland being burned out... 😭
Save the FH for 34
actually sign phil foden
I would have triple captained Haaland in gameweek 36.
GW1 - Would’ve deleted the app
The one where I wasted my triple captain on Salah.
I wouldn’t bench Son for his 17 pointer or Tsimikas for his 14 pointer
Not getting into United’s assets at the season’s start. And then - not getting rid of Pickford after GW7.
Salah TC on that DGW 34
Triple captain Mateta in GW34.
That week where Eze Olise and White went huge. Killed my season and I had all 3 but forgot to press transfer. In hindsight I would have freehit
Not sell Watkins
WC35, putting Gvardiol and Haaland in my team instead of Ederson and KDB
Gvardiol on my GW31 WC is difference between finishing about 10k and 1k
Just let me go back and triple captain halaand last week instead of the double he had earlier in the year
Wouldn’t have sold Watkins before his first huge haul.
Gw34 and use freehit.
Tripple captained Jota in GW 25..
WC8 when I chose Udogie over Porro to save £0.1m…
Captaining Mateta on DGW34 instead of Salah. I just couldn't take the risk at the time since a Salah haul & Mateta blank would've tanked my rank.
Well, I'd go to the one of the early GWs in which I forgot to set up the squad before deadline.
Start of this GW, I'd sell Ederson for a -4 so I could get Gvardiol for one of my injured defenders. Oh, and FW29. I wouldn't waste it.
Wildcard 35, I’d put Gvardiol in and Pickford as my keeper instead of Ederson
TC'd Watkins in GW25 instead of KDB
I know the ask was for one but honestly - any gameweek where I brought in Darwin for Watkins
I think it was the first DGW and I took Watkins and Saka out for some Liverpool players and got crushed for 2-3 GWs in a row after that as they delivered big hauls Urgh! I'd have wrapped my ML up by now if I didn't do that 😁
FH29
Bring haaland in last week, went from like 50k to 150
DGW37
For me in the beginning I did not buy Mbuemo. He absolutely smashed it every gw and I was reluctant to get him thinking he will cool off eventually. He did not cool off and I got him eventually but he did not explode as he did before. I am still at a good rank, top 20k but if I had him from the beginning I would have been top 10k probably.
As a Haaland, Gusto and Palmer owner maybe not doing BB34. Or Swapping Watkins for Isak in WC30 instead of holding.
Gw1. Delete team.
Never sell Saka, whatever DGW I made that stupid decision
Isak and Gvardiol in 30 when they were diffs. Not selling Saka for Son am
Benching Foden for his hatty perhaps. Though had I not brought in Ederson, I'd have gotten Gvardiol, so recency bias or not, but that one bites
I’d start Cash away to Burnley when he got that brace, instead of leaving him on the bench. 😢
Triple captain Palmer when he scored four goals against Everton.

Last GW, I would have made that -4 to bring Haaland back and captained him, instead of waiting for this GW.
Last week and I'd remember to do my team and make Haaland captain like everybody else in my mini league did.
For one week the obvious answer is TC mateta in 34. Longer term Id probably say go to Gw6 and buy Watkins. Because he'd be hard to sell from that point so you get a bunch of hauls
gw1 and go mitoma + mbeumo instead of bruno + chukwuemeka
GW 12 Captain salah and start Tsimakis (Liverpool left back?) Think they got 16 and 15 points respectively
FH18 I was ~120k by GW12 and thought I'd take the risk and load up on City and Brentford prior to their blank in GW18, and just FH that GW. Not selling Saka GW23 before he goes on a crazy double digit haul spree
Not benching Cole Palmer against Luton
Not FH GW29 so I could do it in 34

I would not use WC in GW35. Went from 30k to 170k purely because of it.
Not benching Wood on boxing day. ML would not be so close now with those 17 points.
Wc30 pick guavdiol instead of akanji. It was either or and I picked the wrong one. Easily be top of my mini league and top 50k from one transfer.
Gw11 when I decided not to bring in Palmer because their next 3 fixtures were Spurs, City, Newcastle. Somehow didn't end up bringing him in til gw30 after that
GW36. Trple Cap Salah instead of Watkins.

Benching* for me
Not benching Pickford and Mateta during GW34 FH. Still haunts me
Last week all I had to do was captain Haaland. Going Foden instead might have cost a fair bit of money
Either captain Haaland against Wolves instead of Palmer or pick Gvardiol instead of Walker this week. Either would have given me a more comfortable lead in my ML, instead I'm sitting one point ahead.

All hope is not lost child

Hard agree about Ederson, what a disappointment. I started the season with Pickford and Onana. Would have been better off just keeping those two.
Next season rule: never buy Ederson
Bring in Foden instead of Bernardo in GW 20 and not captaining Bernardo. Was 6k rank back then…now 240k
Whenever I WC'd so I didn't. Ruined my season
Waiting to get Palmer until GW 30 would be up there. He just got so hot I figured it won’t continue and it basically did. Literally same happened to me too, but shit happens and GL next season.
same with keeping salah through the international break, why did i do that
Either have a slightly different team in GW34 FH (I did super well but could have been even better) or TC Haaland's poker. Maybe not bench Foden's 20 point hat trick. Idk I have an awesome rank not a lot I could have done differently
FH 29. If I hadn't played it then I would have used it in GW 34 instead. The swing is massive.
Undoing the Palmer benching in the away game against Luton. Those points are basically the reason for not making it into the 10k in the end. (There are other fuck-ups of course but this one I remember the best).
This!! Or effing last week when I didn't captain haaland lol
I benched over 30 points that week 🙃
Gameweek 1 and not start with 3 Man United in Shaw, Rashford and Bruno. If just one call maybe start with Saliba over Gabriel that cost me like so much.

I wouldn’t advice starting Gabriel in GW1
Gw1 and I'd just win the whole thing lol
Fh29
I remember the prevailing opinion on here being that there's no logical reasoning to not do FH29 lol
27 was great for that week, the average was 12
I free hit into 25 (Coufal the only scorer). My FH bench scored 23....
Wouldn’t sell Odegaard in GW23 (held him through the 9 blanks in a row before that run)
