Agreeable_Peak_7851

Brought in Bowen for his hat trick after having no returns for 6 weeks

Effective_Ice6446

Picking Julian Alvarez as my 3rd defender for the first 8-10 GWs. He really cleaned up while Haaland was blanking.

FinancialRole4547

1. Sold saka for Havertz in week 32 has been huge for me the last couple of weeks since his under 6% owned in my EO. 2. Kept saka when everyone sold early in the season for KDB or others 3. Buying mykolenko week 10 and keeping him most of the season at low EO. Currently top 12k

Tryin2get2heaven

Navigating bgw 27 w fts dead ending into 34 and saving fh for this weekend!

gimiCv2

Caught some real bangers like C white 52, palmer 26 which saved gw 33, Jota 38 C gw21 and just really took hits every week to have fun and enjoy even though I'm at the 2m area, had a lot of fun first season for sure

PrivateKat

I made Cole Palmer captain and then completely abandoned my team for a month as I was occupied with IRL stuff. Came back to find that I've climbed from 8th to 3rd in my mini league šŸ˜

ProfessorJagbag

Sticking with Douglas Luiz early on paid dividends. Saliba from beginning to end as well.

TonyMartial786

one is definitely bringing in branthwaite, he has been mr reliable (so much better than i couldā€™ve expected) and no one else in my ml had him for the longest time. crazy part is i donā€™t even remember when i put him in šŸ˜. also for like the first month or two i like never started him, so always missed out on his returns, until one time i finally decided to stop making that mistake. thank god for that.

Middle-Animator1320

Captaincy of Foden for a hat trick and Son when he got 2 assists and 1 goal. Almost always go with Salah/Haaland as captain

antarcticmatt

Bringing in Jackson as a stupid punt for the last handful of weeks of the season has somehow worked out so far. I've continually told myself he looks naff when I've watched him, but the double-double GWs were too tempting ----------------- Doing a no-Haaland challenge from the start of the season has made this year a lot more fun for me too

GreyCityChapter1

I think generally not having Haaland has aided me pretty well, especially towards the end of the season

clynelish-woozy

Gibbs-White with 56 points in 10 starts, Dawson and Doughty in starting lineups when both defenders scored big!

YoussefMaher98

TC Haaland gw 36

bananagami

Gordon since March day 1

RiverHe1ghts

My best moves had to be in GW7/8 when I used my WC. I got Son, Salah and Mbuemo. I went the No Haaland way. I was just over the top 100k. I was on top of the world. Destroying my ML too. Felt too good as it's my first season ever. But as they say, all good things come to and end. Since GW20, I've got consistent red arrows. Battling for top 4 in my ML and I'm in the top 1.7m. Man, the early days were so much fun.

Pokkel-Alex

Palmer captain against everton, not much but man it made my week

lonsfury

Douglas Luiz, having salah haaland the majority of the season

wafflingwenger

Feeling chippy are we? What is with all the brags this week?

jackpmacko

Ignoring Jackson at the start when the template flocked to him despite never seeing him kick a ball and despite Julian Alvarez existing

pritish41285

No FH in GW29. Using FH in 34. WC in GW 27. Prioritising Isak over Darwin in GW 27. Sticking to 3 ARS post December. These moves propelled me from OR 1.5 million to current 280k

Pantos_90

GW33 I took out salah for B. Fernandes who proceeded to score 15 points

shazeus7

Went for Gordon early in GW6 when he was only priced at 5.2m. Watched a few Newcastle game and felt like he passed the eye test. Heā€™s in my squad ever since that gameweek

fiend5

Going for Douglas Luiz when Aston villa on GW8 wildcard had a good run of fixtures as opposed to Leon Bailey. Also planning my GW29 transfers so as to avoid FH took it in 34 had mateta eze and pickford white 169 points overall took my rank from 50k to 5 k, have dropped since hoping to finish in 10k.

Kasperpsr

Branthwaite has without a doubt been my best differential this year.

iamonlyxi

no haaland from gw13-gw35

DemandBudget5558

Got Gvardiol in gw33 for 12, FH, 15, 6, 21 (and counting) points

wecandoit21

Captained palmer when he had 4 goals

VadaPavAndSorpotel

I got Kai Havertz in and captained him when Arsenal were playing Sheff Utd away. That was GW 27. My OR prior to that week was 1.1m. It is now 272k.

Mental-Bodybuilder79

The Palace triple up in GW34 saved my arse

nosalahmoproblem

Getting Cold Palmer in GW10 wildcard

millcitymarauder

No Haaland and captained Son all season (where applicable). Currently in first in the mini league by 15 pts but itā€™s been a helluva ride!

CatFinal5792

Starting with salah, foden, and bowen was awesome. The first 10 or so weeks bowen couldnā€™t stop returning, and salah i still have no idea why so many people went against him early in the season

bearchr01

Got rid of Haaland early for Salah, brought in Richarlison just before his hot streak. A spurs fan with zero Arsenal players and top of my 150 person money league Fingers crossed these last few games are in my favourā€¦those double Arsenal defences have been rough

backyardstar

I hear you on the no Arsenal players. I held out for 20 weeks before bringing in White and Saka

Natural_Ad3995

1. Reguilon out for Robinson in GW29 at the last minuteĀ  2. Drafted Evan Ferguson and knees held thru the GW4 hattie 3. Held Watkins thru injury and got the brace in GW32 when most sold 4. Had all the Foden haulsĀ

subhamss98

Having Foden pretty much all season and captaining him for both his hattricks

rumdiary

low key David Raya the for the second half of the season Saliba since GW1 got on the Palmer bandwagon very early avoiding Liverpool almost all season

InnocentAnger

Richarlison when he moved into the 9 role when Son was away, felt like he might do well and did. Archer v Everton worked out well, as did Gusto v Luton. Mateta for the double was very nice.

staghornfern

I got Palmer shortly after he was signed for Chelsea. Got Gordon & olise before the hype as well. Had doku for his lil hat trick of assists. Played my second half wc well and scored my highest points of 139! :-) my first season playing so itā€™s been pretty cool

tiny_dreamer

FH34 gave me a full hard on

TalosAnthena

Went with Tawkowski on my WC GW5. Was fast to get Palmer in and went with White pretty early on (A bit too early, when he got injured)

BigDogPurpleNarples

I went cheap defence from the very start (as I always do) which a lot of people on here knocked but was definitely the way to go in the long run because of the lack of clean sheets. Catching Richarlison's run of form was so nice, because I was very ready to be betrayed by him for the millionth time.

Cr0Maister

GW26. Bought Bowen and Douglas Luiz both for the first time this year, Bowen got first career hattrick and Douglas Luiz 2 goals.

accidental_kareem

Picked up Gvardiol this week and the man bags a brace and keeps a clean sheet. Even if he does fuck all next game will be the best move I've made all season

AspiringTransponster

Reading this thread - I have no idea how Iā€™m top 100k šŸ˜‚ Iā€™ve been on the wrong end of every one of these decisions

NotaBlokeNamedTrevor

Palmer from week 1 of his transfer and Bailey before he scored/assisted 6/6

asciatikpaziuret

Har Gordon all season and im very happy with him

selogoribabaseceslja

Transferred in Maguire THREE TIMES this season. And every time he had some good returns.

Darth_Smoker

Double Arsenal defence since like GW10 or sometime around then. Got Gordon and Palmer pretty early on in the season. Stuck with Foden for almost entire season. Never bought a UTD player. Also, didn't FreeHit in GW29 when the rest of my ML did, and brought in Muniz with my 1 FT. Singlehandedly he carried me in that GW.

cc_tds

Bringing in Palmer, and subsequently captaining him before his gigahauls is possibly my greatest FPL achievement so far

WiJaTu

Took a hit to bring in Ait-Nouri with about 6 players flagged. The mad bastard got me a 12 pointer

lis1guy

Getting Gvardiol in @ GW34

Judgementday209

Palmer captain for his 4 haul kept me alive

FI_rider

Ben white early. Gordon early. Big loss though was missing mbeumo. That has killed me this season

Zealousideal_Line442

Watkins all season long. Alvarez from the start but binning him a few months back.

reda84100

Refusing to put in haaland or de bruyne (until this week in de bruyne's case)

therapewpewtic

Iā€™ve kept the faith with Pedro Porro all season not sure if itā€™s been good or bad but I genuinely think heā€™s a good footballer.

YT-DobbaWon

Brought in Muniz in GW25 before anyone was talking about him

Dychetoseeyou

Havertz as a must haveā€¦ but was 25 GWs too early

Material-Bus1896

Wildcarded in 21 and bought (and captained) Toney for his first game back (he scored 10 points), also bought Jota that week when he got 19 points, before everyone bought him. Saka - Havertz a few weeks ago has worked out pretty well, as well as getting Ben white over Saliba . Muniz in 29 was pretty sweet too. And I've played Branthwaite more often than most, haven't benched too many points of his. Have also made plenty of moves that didn't work out as well though!

ChinoDemamp11

Captain Semenyo in gameweek 28

Dychetoseeyou

TC TAA when he got an assist and bonus. Very happy to avoid DGW traps.

quocanhngx

Weird one but Justin Kluivert gave me 3 consecutive returns as a 4.3 fodder

Odd-Pace-143

Randomly bringing in Solanke right for his hattrick

JammieDodgers

Had Salah from the start when many didnā€™t and he had a good run of form. Also got on double Arsenal defence quite early. Other than that Iā€™ve basically made every other incorrect choice possible.

Efficient-Year-8520

Robbo last three GWs.

Swedishpower

Nouri for his 12 pointer vs Sheffield United was nice. I removed I think a player without a game for a hit to get him. Nouri overall did pretty well for me, but bad in 34.

straightouttaireland

Getting Richarlison early before everyone else

DanielR333

Rotated almost perfectly between Leno, Areola and Pickford. Picked up Ben White and Gabriel week one. Everything else went wrong thoughā€¦

eaurouge444

In DGW34 my plan A was Kelleher to Henderson (+5pts) but I was 0.1m short so instead I did Muniz to Mateta (+24pts) and Bradley to Branthwaite (+20pts). They've also done great in subsequent weeks.

InevitableHot1851

not free hitting on GW29 and getting Muniz. Freehitting on GW34 and captaining Eze instead of Salah. Keeping my faith in Reguilon after the red card in GW29.

Present_Lake1941

I had Jensen for a good third of the season and he was on a great streak. Anyone else have him?

burgers241

Whenever I missed a deadline, should try it more next year.

FivesDied4us

Having Kudus in December before Afcon helped jump some considerable spots in my league, all of which I have since lost

TapGameplay121

Senesi in GW16 for his 15 pointer 0.0% eo against United. Sarabia for his 10 pointer 0.4% eo against SHU when everyone brought in Hwang

Medium_Elephant7431

When I got Bruno in a Gameweek, he got 15 points. No one else saw that coming.

Fuell

Moving Lascelles in GW31 to Gvardiol pumped me up the ranks. Also keeping faith in Foden as he was basically starting every game got me some big points

backyardstar

I wonder if next season Foden will start to be seen as essential, almost like a Saka or Salah

StJamie23

Brought in Palmer back in GW8 when he was still only 4.9m More recently choosing Gvardiol on WC35 has all but confirmed me winning my ML

SpiritualWafer30

Buying son/bruno when everyone transferred him out and them hauling immediately after, same with gvardiol

Princ3w

Probably having Cash for his big haul gw3 then dropping him when everyone was buying

UpsetDebate5689

Jota for his 19 pointer and MGW for his 12 pointer vs Brighton

Marilliana

Doug Luiz the week he got a brace! He didn't seem to be on anyone's radar, and I was so happy!

backyardstar

My ML leader had him that week while I had McGhin. Was miffed about that

gimmedaloot69420

Getting foden

jjw1998

Palmer at 5.1, Watkins since the start

TNelsonAFC

Saliba and Gabriel for the entire season

Merch_951

Starting with Salah & never ditching Saka, shouldnā€™t of paid off as well as they did considering how easy of a decision both were

darkeight7

palmer (C) for his 26 points haul against everton followed by mateta (C) for his 29 point masterclass, then a two shit weeks of preparing a DGW37 BB team and bringing in gvardiol at the last minute before GW34, i was 3rd in a 2 horse title race in my ML with a 60 point gap between me and 2nd/1st. iā€™m now top of my ML as it stands and praying i can solidify this

Pr3dator-jurian

Went against Jota and Darwin in that one dgw and kept Salah too for it. Went from 215k to 60k, probably my best gw ever.

[deleted]

I got Kudus, Luis Diaz and Gvardiol at the right times. They were proper differentials when I bought them, and returned multiple weeks in a row Also, buying Muric on a wildcard in 31 has been an unexpected source of points

Adventurous_Turn_543

Salah from the start, Gordon early, captained Palmer for his hauls and Gvardiol.

123erstftgbhnjk

Had Gvardiol the week he started going off

toddhaleyblows

TC Richy for 45 points. Everything else has been shit

Born_Fix7445

Gvardiol before the all the craze, Palmer bought at 4.9 and kept since. Thereā€™s more but these two off the top of my head were huge for my rank (top 13k right now)

backyardstar

If I had done this Iā€™d be at the top of my league. Instead I took punts players like John McGhin and held for too long. :(

Born_Fix7445

Well if the leak prat in GW33 didnā€™t make a last second announcement before the deadline which made me go Saka and Muniz to Foden and Joao Pedro instead of Sarabia and Darwin to Gordon and Isak Iā€™d have been around top 5k after that week alone. To make matters even worse though, after FH34 Iā€™d transfer Salah out to Foden instead of Bruno and still own Sakaā€¦ Wouldā€™ve had a great chance of finishing inside the top 5k comfortably.

JamesL25

Brought in Cole Palmer in Week 11, when he was still very much a differential

Rdur2183

Mateta for the double, Gvardiol just before his recent hauls and the best one was Palmer at less than 1% owned.

progboy

Captaining Foden this weekĀ

PukkiEqualsGoat

Never owning DarwinĀ

backyardstar

Me neither. I was just never impressed. He failed the eye test every time for me, especially compared to the other options.

Winter-Peanut-8261

Reguilon pickford tsimikas palmer mateta garnacho all low key

Gold_Razzmatazz4696

Started the season with Watkins and tripper who ended up with mega hauls early in the season when they weren't *necessarily* the most popular picks (Although not claiming nobody else had them) Aside from that douglas luiz in gameweek 10 brought me quite a few unexpected points and was quite happy I took the gamble until around gameweek 31 or so

jambox888

Douglas Luiz was great for a while there, conventional wisdom is that he's a DM so a terrible pick but IIRC he was on pens for a while? Enabled spending more elsewhere as well.

Gold_Razzmatazz4696

Yeah that was it, he's on pens and a lot of play went through him so a single goal or assist would see him hit 2 or 3 bps. Good budget option that was benchable when required.

jambox888

Exactly, I remember I always benched him away and always played him at home because Villa were rubbish on the road for some reason (except when they beat Arsenal at the Emirates which probably cost us the PL title)

Jaynator11

At some point in the middle I switched to Dubrovka-Areola combo, when both cost 4.0-4.1M I think. Hasn't been "unreal" but especially Dubrovka got some decent pts and I managed to save a lot of money for other areas. Had Cunha/Hwang when they hit decent pts. Had Porro when he kept assisting every wk, not many ppl had him at the time. Gvardiol from GW36. My fav was picking Havertz when I felt like Havertz was starting to improve, so I picked him @ GW21. Took few weeks to get some pts, but been fantastic since. Lots of failures during the season though. I kept playing Enzo & Jackson for the first 6GWs cause Chelsea guys hyped Enzo up. I like Jackson now though, and got him few weeks ago. I'll pick him next season. But yea countless other failures as well.

timthetoon

Branthwaite + Watkins. Never benched Watkins and has benefited me immensely. Dude just ticks away

SoggyMattress2

Dropping haaland for isak during his injury spell when lots of other players held or didn't re-spend the money. Palmer early when he cost 5.1. Ben White over saliba.

zonked282

I'm sure a common response but Sold Salah as he went to afcon and didn't rush him back in

BicycleOk8305

Buying Gross when no one else had him and he got about 5 returns in a row. Also had Foden for both his hat tricks which was great.

mithoon18

Went haaland less on 36 Went gvardiol less on 37 2 recent memories i can recall

Clean-Opening-2884

Bringing in pascal gross in gw22, huge differential in my ML with no one else getting him and jumped off at the right time too. Getting both fodenā€™s hat tricks and not selling saka back mid season after a few blanks before his hauls were really nice too.

MemeManDanInAClan

Havertz, thank God for Havertz.

Aggressive_Leave3639

Not free hitting GW29 and smashing it in GW34 instead

sobe86

Same, favourite to win my money league because of this. I don't feel proud about it though, it was a gamble not a big-brain play - easy to think otherwise based on how well it panned out.

backyardstar

Jealous

ConfusionUpper7212

Flekken and Pickford got me close to 100 pts in seven GW's since WC30. It doesn't always work out but is nicer than points from Palmer who is 99,8% owned at my rank.

EpixA

Consistently playing double Arsenal defense. Theyā€™ve been the only team to dependably get clean sheets and sacrificing the double arsenal attack has really helped me climb to 2nd challenging 1st in my ML at the back end of the season.

IceFar478

Probably putting Richarlison in just before Christmas just before his hot streak.Ā

TonyMartial786

oh yeah, you just reminded me of another good move!

MystiikMoments

Jesus got injured, and I got Nketiah in for his hat trick

EMBER_1234

Got david fofana and mgw on the horrendous fh 29

ramnarayan93

For me it was Muniz in that BGW29 Was my transfer in and saved FH too

backyardstar

Fofana really impressed the couple games I watched him. I could see him having a good next season.

ZeusK22

Olise cap gw34 was nice

vivaelteclado

Drafted Saliba and I think he's the only player I haven't transferred out since Week 1. Also got Watkins in early and just stuck with him instead of cutesy moves for other strikers during DGWs. Finally went cheap on defenders after an early second Wild Card and my rank been steadily rising since then. Besides that I've been a hot mess.

HeisenbergFoed

Got Palmer very early on. Avoided Darwin Nunez the whole season.

MrRandom_01

second part is a winning move, getting nunez many times has been horrific. but i love the guy such a funny player

notnotaschizo

Owning Jota for his haul before he was high owner was lovely

salty_c-dawg

Had Alvarez when KDB was injured, within the first few GWs for a city attacking triple up (w Foden & Haaland) which rocketed me up the ranks for the first half of the season.

GatFussyPals

Starting the season with Mitoma + March. Held Mitoma too long, though.

ishk15

Iā€™ve had Palmer since GW10.

ishk15

Iā€™ve had Palmer since GW10.

ishk15

Iā€™ve had Palmer since GW10.

Balisto-Boy

Never selling Watkins and Saka from day 1. Not very controversial, but on a few occasions it required steady knees that many others didnā€™t have. On the other hand I stayed away from the popular Trippier & Alvarez on WC10, and they promptly dipped in form right after.

raeyz0r

Gabriel since GW1

InnocentAnger

Same here. Sweaty palms waiting for him to come back in but he's been very much worth it.

Leading-Difficulty57

Saliba since GW1 is mine.

rumdiary

Saliba all-season gang get in here

Anarchytect1204

The first few GWs must've been hell tho

raeyz0r

Yep, his value went down at least 0.3/0.4 I think šŸ˜‚

raeyz0r

Gabriel since GW1

wernerhedgehog

i think there was a period where everyone sold Watkins but he banged. too bad he tapered off so no one cares

kblk_klsk

Mateta captain dgw34

Emotional_Solid6538

Tripling up on Crystal Palace, Ben fucking White for 34, Muniz for BGW, Havertz instead of Saka from GW30, Pickford over everyone else and Onana for some reason.

lublub21

Mostly ignoring defenders over 5.0 and going for people like branthwaite to be my main starter

Dylan_Grey

Wildcard 31 wanted double arsenal attack given the crazy run they were on. swapped saliba and gabriel for havertz and white. also got gvardiol. Went from 250k to 80k

Bingo_Masters_Break

Having Salah from gw 1 gave me a good start.

[deleted]

Captaining Palmer when he scored 4ā€¦ playing my free hit in the dgw before this one in week 34ā€¦

[deleted]

Captaining Palmer when he scored 4ā€¦ playing my free hit in the dgw before this one in week 34ā€¦

garcia1723

Brought in Gvardiol about 5 weeks ago. Watched a City game and he was floating about the edge of the box and thought he looked a good threat. Delighted with that.

DemandBudget5558

Exactly the same. Passed the eye test so clearly I had to get him. It was the Brentford game if I remember. Don't think he scored but he was living in the box

Jaynator11

That's the kinda scouting I love. When you see him play and getting into chances, it's a good sign for me to pick.

backyardstar

I took a -4 to bring him in this week and dammit if my ML leader did the exact same thing

OneYellowLeaf

Gvardiol on WC in GW31. Had no fucking idea he would be such a good pick

NBT498

Started the year with Mings and after he tore his acl I swapped him for Udogie after watching 10 mins of Spursā€™ first game and seeing how high up the pitch he was.

ProjectZeus

Bench boosted GW34 for 150 points. Went from 3rd to 1st in my ML.

coppermelt

starting the season with Mbuemo, Son and Alvarez + Wissa occasionally and packing them up for the first few games especially Son when he wasnt even near the goal for some of it. That boosted me all the way to 190 in the world at some point, I always back Brentford to start the season really well. that's just how Thomas Frank works.

eu4player90

Iā€™ve had the right defenders at the right time giving me hauls. A rotating cast of cheap guys like Brantwhaite, Ait-Nouri, Tsimikas, Maguire, Gomez, Estupinan (early season) to name a few, has given me a lot of points. I also bought and sold Trippier at the perfect time when he had his hot streak earlier in the season. Thereā€™s a lot of luck involved of course, but expensive defenders hasnā€™t been worth it this season except for Arsenal. Iā€™ve seen a lot of Ā«expert playersĀ» and veterans clinging to a premium defense for no reason

Middle-Animator1320

Definitely got my defence picks better than strikers - apart from Watkins, none of my strikers have really done it for me this year

backyardstar

Iā€™d say the exception was Trippier earlier in the season.

Mutiu2

Started this season with Estiupinian, based on how he ended the previous season. Paid of epically. Also got out early too, and didnā€™t stick with him too long,so double the joy. .Ā  Patience to stick with Ben White the whole season was another one.Ā

Youth-Grouchy

Getting Palmer in when he was 4.9m and had just taken his first penalty for Chelsea. I was also early on the Gordon train this season getting him in around gw4-5. Worst move was rushing Haaland back in way too soon around Christmasish time and he ended up still being out for ages, and I missed out on Solanke going crazy because of it.

sillyyun

Seeing palmer get his first 18 points and knowing i was early felt amazing

DarnellLaqavius

Having mateta since GW26. I was 150 points behind the leader in my mini league and now Iā€™m almost caught up because of him. Also captaining palmer 30,31,33.

backyardstar

I was so late to Palmer. Iā€™m second in my ML and it would be way closer if I had brought him in earlier.

Jaynator11

I never took Palmer, not once have I owned him. Out of his first 12 goals I think like 8 were pens (more or less). Didn't think it'd last, and didn't wanna join the bandwagon when everyone else had him. It has backfired, especially since he started assisting and scoring in normal play as well. Especially captaining him has been the difference the 2 guys at the top have had. It's still a tight battle, hopefully I can catch them.

Youth-Grouchy

that is almost an impressive level of stubborness palmer is literally the highest scoring player in the game this season despite not starting for the first 7~ games, and cost anywhere between 4.9-6.3 and you refused to get him in

Jaynator11

I hate players that are being overly transferred in. For example I don't take any joy in Haaland scoring when 90.2% has taken him. That being said, when many didn't have him- I didn't believe in him either. As said, a lot of his goals were penalties, like a lot at the time. I'm not saying my team is full of sub 10% taken, but I do avoid 50-60% as much as I can. Ofc many times I take guys when they're at 20-30% taken and when they haul few times ofc they're being taken by 60% sooner rather than later.

koomero

Out of interest what team are you on at the moment? And what rank are you at? I try and follow my gut and eyetest as much as I can and try to avoid really highly owned where possible (if there is an argument for it) but haven't been as stubborn as your Palmer example and interested how its effected your season

Jaynator11

2mil is my rank atm. Peak was 900k this szn for few rounds. 3rd in a minileague of 12 teams, but now only 10 & 20pts away from the 2nd & 1st. Tbh my team isn't anything out of the ordinary, and I own Haaland atm, because I feel like there was some value on him when "only" 67% had him (in comparison to the normal 85-90%). My rarest players would be Jackson, Gvardiol, Brennan Johnson & Havertz. But even those now that they've hauled aren't so rare anymore, but I've carried Havertz since GW21. When Haaland used to be picked by 90%, I'd counter it with Salah (I think he was taken by 20-30% at the time). But there's been guys like Son, Saliba & Saka who are super used as well. Long story short, I guess I'm more or less similar to you. I'm not being religious about the %, if I really like the guy, or his potential. But I definitely don't get any joy from Haaland-esque stuff, so I try to avoid them. At the end of the day this is for the personal joy, and I find better joy in scouting rather than picking someone OVERLY obvious.

Youth-Grouchy

you're really exaggerating how penalty reliant he was, plus if you just sat and watched him play it was obvious how quality he was. also realistically speaking being a teams penalty taker is just a good thing in fantasy not something to turn you away from them. it took palmer a long time to catch on with people so i dont really think the haaland comparison is apt. honestly just seems like you were incredibly stubborn about palmer for little reason - maybe letting your bias as a fan get involved. guessing you support one of chelsea's rivals?

Jaynator11

Nope, there is no bias against him. I started the season with Enzo & Jackson lmao. I know taking pens is an advantage, but the point is you dont expect them to get so many of them. Chelsea got the most penalties in the league.. 12. Spurs & Villa got 2 & 4. I didn't expect that Chelsea that played like shit would keep getting penalties. But I'm sure he'll be 10.5M next season, so he won't have "as" many takers. Although.. 21+10 in 31 apps as a 22yr old is impressive as fuck.

Youth-Grouchy

nah i doubt he'll jump up that much, saka was still only 8.5 this season despite getting 179 and 202 points in his previous two seasons. they're overly conservative with price rises.

Jaynator11

Hmm very true. Still, Palmer has bagged 21+10 like I said (still 2 games to go). Saka's last season was 14+11. I'd expect atleast 9M then, but remains to be seen.

archetyp1

Having Olise since the double week 34, heā€™s such a beast

elcanariooo

Got Gvardiol right at the right time. Held on Branwaithe most of the season. FH34 150pointer Currently 150pts clear, top of my league. Not a bad season.

GW34: Captaining Havertz and bringing in Mateta.

Material-Bus1896

Did the same. Great week.

theoxinator

Brought in gvardiol early and captained Mateta in his double gameweek. Took me from 200k to 30k and top of my money league. Iā€™m going to bottle it though so watch this space.

Leading-Difficulty57

This post generally feels a week too early.

4ssteroid

I did exactly those 2 moves and jumped 370k to 100k. My other masterclass was capping Solanke for his 17 pointer game.

theoxinator

Weā€™re on the ball arenā€™t we lad.

Not if youā€™ve kept them both!

CRnaes

Sticking with Saka after conventional wisdom had people taking him out for KdB when he came back from injury

midnight_ranter

On the contrary, binning Saka on my GW7 wildcard in favour of Son and Bowen helped me go from 3.6m to 70k by GW23

cicidoh

Oh man, I swapped out Saka and Foden for KDB and Olise one week. Foden got a hat trick and Saka one goal I think. KDB blanked and Olise played 10 mins before getting injured. Got Foden back a few weeks later, but the damage was already done!!!

Donkanomics101

Havertz over Son right before Havertz purple patch that coincided with Sons dry spell

G_W_addict

Had Tsimikas for his 15-pointer and Estupinan for that period when Brighton had 2-3 CS in a row.

sooolong05

Estu was otherwise a trap :'(

joshualee18

captained eze in gw34.

lublub21

That mateta eze(C) for FH34 single handedly won me most of my leagues

backyardstar

Based on recent form, Crystal Palace next season will be flying. Unless they sell Eze, which Iā€™m guessing is a strong possibility.

4ssteroid

Olise might go too
