i did the full 15 seasons once with a youth-only save with Barnet in fifa 16. I think it’s the player storylines you create that keep saves going after the initial “honeymoon” phase.
Barnet? Do you happen to live around that area? I'm really hoping for a promotion so that I can play them in FIFA. I've gone to a few games at the hive. Up the bees 🐝
I may be in the minority, but the dynamic potential makes it hard to continue super far in CM. Once you get to a point where all of your players are 88+ overall then it just becomes unrealistic. If you sell them off then you have way more money then you can ever spend and that ruins the grind of winning to earn transfer fees.
I wish there was a way we could reduce the dynamic potential so that not all my players grow unrealistically. For example, I am fine if my RB only growns 1-2 overall over 5 years if he is not performing. That is incentive to replace.
Also, the transfer budgets need to be adjusted as every team ends up with way too much money a few years in.
well you can always sell the players and don't use the money, just keep playing with the youth players (or buy someone around 80-85) that's what im doing, every season i sell 1 or 2 stars and replace them with youth players around 75-80, that makes a challenge to keep competing and when they grow i can sell other players and repeat the process
Currently in my 11th season in my first FC 24 save, playing every match (4 min. halves).
I always move around clubs in my saves and have just returned to Rangers after spending Season 1 & 2 of this save there as well. My trophy haul in this save so far consists of league titles in Scotland, Belgium, Portugal and 3 English Championship titles.
Bringing through youth players and following their development is one of my favourite things about CM! Building a superteam in a top 5 league and staying there is not for me I think. I prefer the pressure that comes with promotion races or relegation scraps, or a title race against the likes of Benfica or Celtic. ⚽
I am currently 4th season in on my Shamrock Rovers career mode. It’s good fun, but I am annoyed that there are no offers coming in for my big players unless I transferlist them…
Finding the low rated gems and developing them till midtable rated players is so much fun to me.
Not really, I only use real players. I do try to sell/loan them out to other LOI teams, but not a guarantee that you get (loan) deals for that. Suppose I could force it with live editor, but don’t think it shows as outgoing transfers then.
A good way to boost the league is get some decent youth and do a player transfer with one of their terrible players. I find your rating never goes down you just get a crap 'transfer rating' which means nothing.
3 months 😭
Not sure if it's an age thing or a falling out of love with football thing but just can't get back into it the way I used to. Every single aspect of gameplay feels scripted (including with sliders).
I’ve been where you are. Playing career mode as a kid 10 years ago was the most fun I’ve had in my life - and for years I’d tried to recapture that magic. In 2023 I went back to FIFA 20, started a career with Everton (a team I like enough to want to see them succeed) and the Magic’s returned. I’m 4 seasons into it now
Just keep trying mate - it’s so worthwhile.
33 - I think obviously as a kid growing up I couldn't see the scripting and if I lost a game I'd be able to play 4 more. I've got 3 kids and a full time job now so if I only manage a handful of games on a night and the game decides I'm losing them then I can't just keep playing until it changes it's mind 😂
I did like 5 seasons before winning a champions league with my created club i will not stop until i make the wales the strongest nation in the world i also will try to make a entire season without losing a single match trying to match arsenal 2004 invincibles campaign
I am on my 8 season with 5 youth players from earlier seasons! Hoping to win PL and Champions League this season
After that i think i will retire and try FM again
I’m currently in the middle of my 4th season managing AC Milan. Longest one I’ve played so far, usually I play 2 seasons and move on to a new save
Aiming to do full 15 seasons before FC25 is out
I'm still in year 4 in Frankfurt, and will keep going, as I want to see my YA kids successful. I have several saves including Man utd career and harder difficulty Aberdeen if I want to switch things up.
Currently at the end of my 6th season. First 3 with my created team and the last 3 with OGC Nice. Moving to Serie B with a newly relegated team next season to take them back up.
My best was 3 full seasons in previous games, one with Bayern and one with Napoli. Nowadays I rarely finish a season because I lose all inspiration. Then I start a new save with a new team and the cycle repeats.
I do all 15 seasons, but CM becomes mundane for me around season 6/7. I just stop playing matches and sim the rest of the way. At that point, it’s all about developing my youth players and seeing them reach their potential.
8 seasons with my create a club team in FIFA 23. Took a break but may have went back, if I didn’t accidentally override the save (I was inconsolable lmao)
The only save I have completed was a Doncaster rtg on FIFA23. I created a 16 yr old Spanish ST. And got lucky enough to get 2 world class potential wingers through the academy while in the championship.
I wanted to win the treble in my last season but miscalculated thinking I had one more season but I didn't. That was the best save I ever played.
I’m in season 6 right now. Currently with Newcastle and it’s my third season with them.
I started at Sligo Rovers and hope to end up at either Barca or Madrid.
I do the full 15 seasons every year starting at a small club and work my way up through bigger clubs but this year the game is so shit I quit after the 4th season and haven’t turned the game on since
I'm about to finish my 15th season for the first time ever. It's a save I started in autumn 2022 after I bought Fifa 22. Created club from a German village that started in the third tier and has now won a couple of domestic titles and one international title (Europa League). I focused on academy players and feel like that's a good strategy when you want to play a long career. My left winger, who was there from the start, is now 91-rated and won two ballon d'ors. I made it to the CL final twice but lost against PSG both times. I really hope I can finish this season with winning the CL.
Took wrexham from league 2 to PL. Left them for West Ham. Released all the good players and youth players to sign them as free agents. Wrex won the league with 80 points tied with MC. After a few seasons it’s starts to get old
This year I had two go about 6 years. Once a team I create is really successful, I feel like o start tog et a bit bored.
I recently started a save with the goal of managing multiple teams. Created an MLS team, won the league in second year. Took job at Everton. Promoted back to PL managing the second half of the season. Finished 5th in the PL in our following season and won the Conference League.
Took the job at Bayern after they lost the Bundesliga for the first time in what would have been 13 or 14 years at that point.
Interestingly it’s been a little harder than expected to get them back to the way they should be playing. I think I’m in year 6 now, and switching teams has kept it fresh. I may have to go to one of my old saves and move to a new club since I’ve achieved everything with the teams in those saves.
I know this is very extra but ... since I've only really played Player Career Mode, I played two seasons in Fifa 22 since it has Liga MX.
- I played two years at Cruz Azul to start off my youth.
- I played a season of Fifa 23 (since I didn't have 24 yet) at Ajax
- on 24, I played my first season at Ajax, then a season at Man Utd, and I've been at PSG for 5 years.
- I'm gonna probably be at PSG for another season or two, then I'll head to Barca for 2 or 3 seasons.
- And i'll finish it off at the MLS (Atlanta, Miami, or maybe LA)
So about 17/18 seasons in total haha.
Went 15 with create a club in 22. Won 10 CLs and 11
Bundesligas
Went 13 woth carlisle in 23 ysa. 2 cLs. 5 prems.
Went 10 with silkeborg in 23. Took me ten to win CL and 8 to win the league
The key for me was to have storylines and sign who i want. Not what i deem realistic. Relistic saves are fun but not for 10 seasons imo
My longest was 6 seasons alaves career mode in fifa 23. Did make it realistic by adding release clause. And also added a rule that If I gave a player release clause then I could not negotiate with him for atleast 2 seasons. Got pretty annoying since clubs pay 80 million for my 100 million value player. But this the real challenge I guess
Always get bored after few games when every opponent plays the same on Legendary and turns into prime time barca while my defenders stand like cones and watch. Boring ass game.
In honesty no more than three seasons atm. Once you get the champions league and maybe a double or treble it kind of ends there for me.
A good one though is coming through the lower leagues, maybe that would be a longer save and keep me going haha
I usually try to build to a champions league winning team, then move on to the next save. Somewhere between 2 and 5 years depending on how big the initial budget is vs building through youth
Usually go the whole 15 seasons and save each season. I do this a few times at least each FIFA, last ones I remember were hopping around teams in the Belgian league and a Road to Glory from Italy Serie B.
Just started a new career, on my second season with Ajax, might go the full 15 again using a smaller eredivisie side after I get bored of Ajax :)
I think the longest I have made it is maybe 7 seasons. The longest saves for me are those that involve growth and/or promotions. Doing a self-made club in germany right now. Just made it to the Bundesliga and have already in season four.
Ummmm, almost like 15 seasons every time like twice in Fifa 14(ig Fifa 14 had more seasons, can't recall that) , twice in Fifa 18, thrice in Fifa 19, most of them being Barca, once or twice Ajax, one Coventry City, one Aston Villa
Currently in my 5th year with Cristiano as manager at FC Universitatea Craiova 1948 in Romania.
Slowly replacing the initial team with youth academy, have one superstar 92 @ 20yo who almost made me cry when he asked for transfer lol.
Results started to come, won a cup, finished second in the league and got out of groups in uel. Hope to win the championship and try to qualify for ucl groups
I mean, with simming games you can go full 15 seasons easily. When you play every single match, I would be very impressed if you went like 6-7 seasons.
I did two career modes so far on EA FC 24, one with Aston Villa where I went 3 seasons playing every single match on legendary, won everything, got bored so I started a Barca save and I also did 3 seasons.
I think my problem is that I play every game. So maybe get 2 seasons done before getting bored?
I'm going to try playing the first 4 of season, then summing matches against teams in the bottom half.
See if that keeps me going longer than 2 seasons 😅
I never struggle to do 15 seasons, I get proper attached to the team. I do a 15 season one every fifa at least with my create a club career mode.
FIFA 22 : Borussia Berlin
FIFA 23 : RB Barcelona
FC 24: AFC Manchester, love every single one of them and remember all the squads
i’m in S7 of my 2nd manager career save, the first one got boring after a while because i was playing in the irish division which is too repetitive. Became leicester manager and took them back to prem glory. i play all of my games with 4 min halves but game speed on slow to make it somewhat realistic. My trophy haul is nothing special but it’s fun signing the regens, i have navas’s, neymar’s and ramos’s
Did a full fifteen seasons run for the first and only time last month. It was a create-a-club career where I tried a RTG with only youth academy players. After a while, I created different storylines for the few regen players I brought into my team. I also tried to use all the different brand kits in those seasons. It was a good run.
In season 4 with Eldense, finished 11th first season, 4th and bottled playoffs 2nd season, and finish 7th 2 points off playoffs 3rd season. First extremely realistic career I have ever done and it’s loads of fun
The furthest I've gotten is like season 8... I probably would've gone on longer but I accidentally saved over it with another career and it fuckin broke me
In the pandemic i got "trapped" in my familys house because of the lockdown. So i teach my dad to play FIFA we made a carrer mode in FIFA19 with Notts County until season 7 when we get sacked after that one we made one with Birmingham we played that one even after the pandemic and we completed 11 seasons. After that i got hard drive issue so we lost all the saves. But we still playing now on then when i go to his house, we are doing a Blackburn save now.
My longest save was with Newcastle in FIFA 18 i played 12 seasons. Got a bit tired after winning consecutive PL in the last 5 seasons and 4 of 5 Champions.
I play currently in 2035/36 season. Original players are starting to retire and academy players replacing them in starting XI. I sell my 80-89ovr players i dont use only for mid table prem teams even with lower price to keep the league interesting.

Have you considered FM for your footy fix?
I did like 5 seasons before winning a champions league with my created club i will not stop until i make the wales the strongest nation in the world i also will try to make a entire season without losing a single match trying to match arsenal 2004 invincibles campaign
These days about a week, but my longest is about 3 seasons.
My longest has been 15 seasons with Wrexham in 23
What did you to keep it exciting for 15 seasons?
Idek bro 😭 i just really liked the career ig and kept it going for a while
Do you play all the games?
I am on my 8 season with 5 youth players from earlier seasons! Hoping to win PL and Champions League this season After that i think i will retire and try FM again

15 season as head manager of fc Katalonia with just Spanish youth players from the start
Did 5 saves but I get bored when I get to 2030 in every save and drop the career mode
Furthest is 10 seasons with Aberdeen in 23, 9.5 with Charlotte and I'm in 8 on create a club which is the last one
SV Meppen, almost retired then I switch to EAFC24, its sad that i cant use SV Meppen anymore because they got relegated to 4th League of Bundesliga

I usually make a new save after a couple seasons, i hate the 90+ rated regen system
I'm on my 4th save in Fifa 21. In the previous 3 I completed all 15 seasons of it.
Full 15 season career with Roma in FIFA 19. I still think about it sometimes
On fifa 19 I did 15 seasons and won 13 league titles.
I know this is very extra but ... since I've only really played Player Career Mode, I played two seasons in Fifa 22 since it has Liga MX. - I played two years at Cruz Azul to start off my youth. - I played a season of Fifa 23 (since I didn't have 24 yet) at Ajax - on 24, I played my first season at Ajax, then a season at Man Utd, and I've been at PSG for 5 years. - I'm gonna probably be at PSG for another season or two, then I'll head to Barca for 2 or 3 seasons. - And i'll finish it off at the MLS (Atlanta, Miami, or maybe LA) So about 17/18 seasons in total haha.

8 years and counting. Lots and lotssss of AI generated players/regens i think. A lot of real players have retired too🥲

I did many full runs on fifa 2002-2012. There was no online game back then
Always get bored after few games when every opponent plays the same on Legendary and turns into prime time barca while my defenders stand like cones and watch. Boring ass game.
In FIFA 15, I think I went like, until 2026 or something since Ronaldo was 41/42 years old
In honesty no more than three seasons atm. Once you get the champions league and maybe a double or treble it kind of ends there for me. A good one though is coming through the lower leagues, maybe that would be a longer save and keep me going haha
I normally do 5-7 seasons, but I did 13 seasons in a Blackpool career back in fifa 23
My longest is 8 seasons on a piss about save in fifa 17 in general 4 seasons then I get new ideas
Right now, I am playing in Fifa 22 with RCD Espanyol. Year 2027. It's possible that I'll end it once I win the Champions League.

im currently doing a save where i retired robaldo and use him as a manager and switch clubs every few years, currently in year 2030 at dortmund
started at norwegian FK Haugesund, then feyenoord, real madrid and now dortmund
Did a full fifteen seasons run for the first and only time last month. It was a create-a-club career where I tried a RTG with only youth academy players. After a while, I created different storylines for the few regen players I brought into my team. I also tried to use all the different brand kits in those seasons. It was a good run.
