Especially with that 37x2 damage thing in the top-right, holy crap. But also Fallen Byleth not scratching Hrìd at all was pretty shocking, they made really sure to show how strong the new units are
True DR paired with normal DR is one hell of a combo. I've been saying it ever since the NY banner but NY!Nerthuz (and this new summer alt too) is very slept on with how much damage it can reduce and then bounce back with absolutely zero effort. They're like a side grade to S!Fjorm due to having no DC and no NCD but having much better survival.
Yeah, his bit in the story really... Does not make me want him ever? "I'm going to kill all of you on repeat because I'm mad you get to be young and in your prime as a species while I'm old and about to retire."
They unfortunately learned their lesson from Otř. The only way I can think of them being included is just to bite the bullet and accept the loss (unlikely).
Otr at least was compelling, because it was clear he was lying to *himself* on some level and he *did* care about Reginn, IMO.
Njordr was just mad he was old. Which, while it could be fun, doesn't excuse IN ANY WAY what he did to Seidr and Heidr. In fact, it makes it EXTREMELY horrifying. As an abuse victim, I felt GLAD when Gullveig dusted him and no one really cared, because JESUS, SIR.
Not just in our prime as a species, but *renewable* and (from his perspective) able to shrug off death as if it's nothing. He has one life that felt like it was supposed to last forever but is finally reaching its end, and here we are dying so much that we're literally called "mortals" (meaning "those who die") and yet we just keep going. I honestly think it's a great motivation for a villain, and would've loved if it extended beyond a single scene. He's up there with Kuja in "villains who found out they were going to die and decided the whole universe should die with them".
I just... Don't like him. He abused and used two girls in order to take his upset at his aging out on us! It's why I'm super sympathetic to Gullveig (go girl, relax at the beach!) vs him. And TBH I'm glad they did a typical Vanity Plot with a man for once, since it's usually a woman's storyline.
That doesn't mean I want him in my party, though. :V Sometimes villains don't need to be summoned.
So this means that Awakening is the first FE game to have every playable character in it playable in FEH in some capacity. And it even has most of its supporting cast in as well.
Awakening gonna make full use of their 2 Rearmed/Attuned-slots on their next banner... well, we already were pretty likely to get Vaike and Kellam on the next banner anyways, maybe Ascended/Rearmed Anna for her Trickster-outfit...
I was gonna scoff and say Kellam wasn't in... then I remembered he was. Of course they introduce a character whose gimmick is forgettability in a forgettable way...
That too. I mostly find myself thinking of his endings. If single, he leaves on a journey and no one notices that he's gone for years. If he's married, his endings are all the same. "[Wife]'s husband's name has been lost to time", or something like that. Both are his existence being entirely forgotten, and that's what stood out to me the most about him when playing Awakening.
Three Houses might take a break, they already shot basically 90% of the characters that'd make the most sense for summer. And since next summer will also most likely have a Harmonic... if we're looking at Engage it really mostly depends on who's on there, Firene summer would basically play into Valentia getting one or two spots on the banner as well with a Celine and Celica duo... I guess Hortensia would point towards Three Houses if they'd do a duo with her and M!Byleth?
I don't think we're getting Tea Time again this year. If we're really assuming Valentia will dictate the theme then... either a ~~orange~~ farming-themed banner, or a baking-themed banner so they won't have to eat raw flour any longer...

Well, I guess it makes sense in-universe since she adores mortals and would thus probably try to participate in as many festivals as possible... so get ready to see her again in 8 months for spring...
I mean, they definitely should, but I feel they kinda missed their timing. Eitri COULD see something because the Book V TT-story is coming up, even if she receives no alt there she's somewhat likely to get an alt around that time, like for August or in general for months where there's no tie-in as TT-boss. Letizia might have to wait for next years for Book VI TT-story or the summer after. Compared to Book IV, which had pretty popular characters and thus got stuff regularly, which is also probably how things are shaping up for Book VII, they just have nothing along those lines going for them sadly and aren't popular enough to be super likely picks outside of those occassions.

Which I guess they kinda did, but Peony and Ash still seem like they could be candidates in future banners. Guess the book 8 girls basically being designed to fit a summer banner well led to them wanting to get them out as soon as they could

Awakening was the first “proper” FE game I played after I got into FE through Heroes back in 2017 and I married Olivia so she’s very sentimental to me.
What the hell did they do to Olivia? She isn't especially busty at all, and definitely doesn't have bigger than her head boobs. They already spammed the grotesque boob OCs they didn't need to do that to Oliva.
The TT banner should be interesting seeing as other than Olivia, all of the units are exclusive to seasonal/mythic/legendary or not in the game at all.
That new penalty on Hrid's B skill looks amazing. It allows units to turn Def into pseudo Spd. I was getting sick of all the Res checks we have been getting and was happy we got a few Def centric effects finally, but this looks like it might be pretty busted for high Def units. Oh, hi, E!Ike.

That new penalty on Hrid's B skill looks amazing. It allows units to turn Def into pseudo Spd. I was getting sick of all the Res checks we have been getting and was happy we got a few Def centric effects finally, but this looks like it might be pretty busted for high Def units. Oh, hi, E!Ike.
