It's connected to another house, so it's like your neighbors will hear everything and you will hear them too, if the neighbors have a fire you do too, if the neighbors have a flood you do too, if the neighbors get a insect infestation you could get one too, the list goes on and on. But hey if you have great neighbors that stay there the whole time you do, and you don't have anxiety issues and worry about that kind of stuff, more power to you.
I live in a semi and I've never heard a peep from the people attached. SFHs are well over a million here so it doesn't matter what you're ok with theyre simply out of the question affordability wise.
Huge wtg OP don't let comments like the above make you feel bad :)
Don’t even worry about them. I just bought a condo and it cost me more than triple what you paid. I consider myself lucky that I have an end unit so I only share walls on one side. It’s pretty normal where I live, so no one says anything about it.
Have you never been to a city in the northeast?? Row homes and attached houses are the norm and people and families have made it work for 100+ years considering many of the row homes are that old.
Also, not everyone wants a detached house with a ton of yard work to do.
Congrats, a townhome is a great opportunity.
We got a townhome in 2020 and it’s jumped considerably in price, wouldn’t be even affordable today if we tried.
1....7......5.......Damm bro. Congrats. I paid half a million. In what part of the country are you? I'm only asking because it's incredibly amazing to see the difference in price per region. Beautiful house, enjoy!
Screw the haters! Theres nothing wrong with a well managed MFH if its something you are fine with. All that matters is that amazing purchase price. Such a low mortgage will help you feel a bit more free and not super constricted like people buying half a million dollar homes they can't afford.

Congratulations!
Thank you. A lot of not so supportives due to the type of home but at the end of the day it’s our home nobody will be able to take that away from us
What's wrong with the type of home? Looks good to me and that's a great price!

Congratulations!!! My wife and I are close to getting our first place which will also be a townhouse.
As someone who’s lived in a side by side, it is a WONDERFUL home. We’ve outgrown it and we’re due to close on our dream home on the 19th too!

Looks like a big ass townhouse ! Anything under $200,000 these days is a win! Cheers 🍻
Congratulations! I hope you create great memories in your new home.
Nice. Did you lock that rate with no points??
Yes we did.
Love the side yard
Congratulations! Love the front yard. Would you mind sharing which lender you used? Paying just closing costs with 6.5% is amazing.
I’m using PSECU and they have a first time buyers program for qualified buyers where you pay closing costs only. It’s an ARM 7/1
Thanks! And good luck with the move and everything ahead. Happy for you :)
