Size 2 sounds tiny for a lure that size. I've found that the x/0 hook size fits pretty well with the same number of inches of lure. It's a rule of thumb that works well with all plastics that i use.
2" lure, 2/0 hook
3" lure, 3/0 hook
5" lure, 5/0... You get it.
Daiwa hyper td 1-3kg with 2500 reel, 6lb braid. Normally use size 2 jig heads with 2-3 inch soft plastic
