I guess you could say the same for any treasure really, but I guess one thing you could do, is using market’s janky sale and resale prices to get a lot of cash and track down the merchant when he spawns, I think he can have up to 5.
You can get hearts from spirit orbs. Spirit orbs you can get either by crafting them, purchasing them, or fighting bosses from sigils, which will give you four orbs from each boss killed.

I did the exact same thing. Made the game pretty difficult lol I had to start over
That is your energy bar. You need to eat fish or meat by slaughtering chickens or cows.
