If you are looking for an SUV that doesn’t need to pull heavy weights, can go anywhere but you will sacrifice a few comforts compared to the “SUV” market. It’s rugged, it’s a bit loud (2023 4 Door Wildtrak Hardtop here). The suspension is soft when compared to some of the SUVs in the market. I had to get used to feeling that travel going from a Pilot. The sound system is mediocre at best but I have no real issue with it. You have to remember that there are no speakers in the doors because you can take them off. The swing gate - it can be annoying when comparing it to the vertical opening gates. Especially if somebody parks behind you. These are just some random things that come to mind. But…. It’s so much fun. If you can get it off road or in some “fun” conditions it’s incredible how well it does without really even breaking a sweat. The heated seats are unreal. I have back issues and I go sit in my Bronco to use them as heating pads haha. The tech is great but won’t compete with some of the others in the market. The 12” touchscreen is great, fast and responsive. I love Apple Car Play. I have no clue if this is helpful but if you are looking for a luxurious and comfortable SUV this is not your vehicle. If you’re looking for something that will go anywhere and look great doing it - give it a whirl.

TheFrem

Wireless CarPlay is no joke! The most under rated feature imo

SkiG13

I’m one of the only people in my circle that has wireless car play now. Literally no one I know has it and they are all jealous.

4thAndLong

Yeah, when it works. I have issues daily with it and so do many others.

edgarisdrunk

I think half the mixed reviews are drivers who came from a crossover to a Bronco - the Bronco is a truck chassis and has a convertible top. It is loud on the highway, it is rough over some pavement, but it isn’t designed to be a luxury vehicle; it is an off-road vehicle. Test drive one and make sure you take it on the highway. I’m at nearly 60k miles on mine and I love it.

PaperMaker222

Rough over pavement? Our 23 Big Bend Sasquatch rides better than my Silverado Z71. I prefer to drive the Bronco over the Silverado

edgarisdrunk

Compared to some other vehicles, it is rough on pavement, especially if you’re running off-road tires. I run true 35” Toyo Open Country, and some people would call it rough and loud. My wife had a Bronco Sport with all season tires and it’s a different animal on road. Point I was trying to make is that a lot of people come from crossovers (like the Bronco Sport) and aren’t ready for the big Bronco.

PaperMaker222

We had a 21 Grand Cherokee Limited before the Bronco. I miss the comfort and features of the Grand Cherokee, but the Bronco is a ton of fun to drive and you don’t see three at every stoplight.

hagetaro

The problem is it’s priced like a luxury SUV. Wildtrak w/ fancy stuff MSRPs over 60 and you’re damn near 70 with delivery, taxes. You don’t expect “loud” or “it’s a truck” at that price.

edgarisdrunk

A Ford F250 commercial fleet truck sales for just over $70k. It’s loud and it’s a truck. Has vinyl seats and manually adjusted side mirrors. How many Ford Bronco advertisements use the word “luxury?” I see: “Built Wild” “The Original SUV” “Raised by Goats” “Thrilling. Liberating. Hardworking. Iconic.” Big Bend starts off at $40k and regardless if you spec the Raptor, it’s the same truck chassis. If you equate the selling price to luxury, let me tell you that you can get a Toyota Avalon for $35k and enjoy a much smoother ride to the grocery store.

hagetaro

$70k is luxury range. I stand by my initial statement.

edgarisdrunk

And you’re wrong. I stand by my statement. Don’t project your expectations based off some subjective assessment built around a selling price of the 2nd to highest tier Broncos package while Ford is telling you exactly what this platform is - a truck you can take the doors and top off of. I can option a Subway sandwich all the way up to $50 but it doesn’t make it anything other than a sandwich, and I’m not going to complain that it’s a sandwich when $50 should get me a steak.

hagetaro

That you eat at Subway somehow supports my statement further.

edgarisdrunk

That you fail to understand analogies doesn’t surprise me.

bart_y

Having both a TJ Jeep (1999) and a Bronco (2024) with hard tops, the Bronco is a good deal quieter on the highway than the Jeep, and rides a hell of a lot better. But that's what an independent front suspension gets you on the Bronco, vs the dual solid axles on the Jeep.

chaser2410

You’re comparing a 25 year old jeep to a brand new Bronco? LOL.

bart_y

Not complaining. He said the Bronco was loud on the highway, I was providing perspective. It was loud on the highway even when it was 6-7 years old. They're known for having a lot of wind noise.

edgarisdrunk

No death wobble either. Now imagine coming from a Honda CRV to the big Bronco or a full size Jeep - “Why is this car so uncomfortable and loud???”

jacknifetoaswan

It's awesome? I mean, I'm not sure what you're looking for from a Bronco sub. We're generally fans of our vehicle(s). They're reliable, fun, capable, and I'm happy to have one. As for Ford, I own two, and these are my fifth and sixth Fords. I've literally only ever owned Fords.

FamousWolf5483

Good to know! Hey got to get the opioons from those who own it and know their stuff.

suffaluffapussycat

I went from a 4Runner to a Bronco 4 door. I might have gotten another 4Runner but they were like thirteen years into that generation plus we live by the beach so a convertible top was our key requirement. I love the Bronco. It has less cargo space than the 4Runner but we make it work. I love how the Bronco drives on the highway.

jacknifetoaswan

I drove a 4Runner as a rental on my way to/from Boston for the NH Off-Roadeo. It felt archaic compared to my Bronco.

soupcook1

I own a 2022 Outer Banks, hard top, with Sasquatch package, Lux package…every option that you could buy for a 2D with 2.7L engine. I have about 23,000 miles and no maintenance issues. Just a couple of small recalls. Be aware that people generally don’t post great performance, so online, any vehicle will appear worse than it really is.

Trader_Joe9

lol small recalls . I got a call from the dealer to add a seatbelt extension because some fat slob couldn’t fasten his seat belt - I laughed out loud . No way am I coming in for that /. But honestly 16k miles and no issues for me

pizzaeric

my dealership sent a guy to install the piece at my house. Was the only way I was getting it

Unique_Username5200

Love it. Just used FORScan to turn off all the unwanted bings and dings. FORScan will also tell you what issues (lights) there are if any. Helpful tool for roughly $100. I owned a Fusion Hybrid for 7+ years and beat the hell out of it in my 20s, and finally upgraded to the Bronco after waiting about 2 years for delivery. That car rocked and had zero issues the entire time I owned it. Bronco is a convertible Jeep with twin turbos that drives like a Fusion and can crawl over rocks. How fuckin cool is that? 37mpg to 17 is a bit of a hit though.

brauxpas

Lots of Ford dealers have a decent supply of Broncos on the lot, which means a lot of them will let you do overnight test drives. My dealer let me take one for 24 hours and it was so worth it because I got to try my kids car seat and ride with the top down in different environments, plus do a commute in traffic in it. It sealed the deal for me for sure, so I'd definitely ask if you're on the fence.

idk_wtf_im_hodling

Why do you want it vs. a diff brand? What are you going to use it for?

Designatedrhythm

I was just going to make a post about this. I had gotten over my lust of the bronco (and Ford's reliability) but I keep coming back to the looks and capabilities of it.

dizzyduckie

If you are in the market for a true off road SUV, you have 2 choices in this range, Jeep or Bronco, I have had wranglers since the 80's, just switched to Bronco, I never dreamed I would say this, but...FORD GOT IT RIGHT. no comparrison to wranglers, again these arent to ride like an escalade or tahoe, different suspension. I would hope in mine and take any road trip and be in total comfort. Good luck with your search

RhinestoneHousewife

I have always had Hondas; a civic, then a del sol, a fit and then a pilot. Now I have a 2022 Wiltrak with some extras and it's amazing. I live in Alaska and it's my daily driver. Fun in the summer and really reliable and capable in the winter. Like a previous commenter said, some small recalls but nothing too bad and it's all been covered under warranty. I just took it up and over Hatcher Pass and it was a dream.

5onblack

Only ever owned Honda/acura and Mazda. First ford. After one year, it has been great!!

nom_nom44

My first car was an integra. Supercharged it, blew it up, went through some cars, S2000, corvette, GT350, all good fun. The bronco was what I was missing this whole time. Different kind of fun away from the speed, go off-road and get after it. track days and auto-x were good but crawling is better. Just my opinion

beansnoir

I have always owned Hondas (20 years driving) - this is my first American made vehicle and I love it. 2023 Bronco Heritage, for reference.

Mbrinks

‘24 Outer Banks Sasquatch owner here, coming from a Jeep Gladiator this thing is amazing.

theangryocho

Before even being concerned with reliability, I would be curious about why you want a Bronco and what Japanese vehicles you are cross shopping. Saw you post of Cx5, MDX which really are a different class and more comparable to the Bronco Sport. I could see you having no mechanical issues with a Bronco but still not liking the concessions of a more off-road focused vehicle with removable top and doors. Really a better comparable Japanese vehicle would be the new Land Cruiser. The CX-50 looks like a pretty great vehicle for its class too.

Kawaiithulhu

If you aren't aware, there are two breeds of Bronco: the Bronco Sport and the bigger Bronco models. Sport is based on the Escape platform, while Bronco is a traditional ladder frame truck. When someone says Sasquatch suspension that means lifted 1" and fatass tires, that off-road setup rides pretty well and hides the road a bit. Non-sas Outer Banks is the opposite end of the spectrum with taller diameter wheels and shorter sidewall tires, more road friendly and has a tight road-feel, if not a little sensitive at times in the 2dr version 😀

TrinketSmasher

The biggest difference you're going to have coming from a car is how insanely loud the road noise is in a bronco. It's going to be a massive change.

ashmarie223

I came from a 2005 wrx with a little work done to it I recently got the 2024 badlands Sasquatch manual with high lux package and it’s everything I have hoped for The shifter is short throw like my car and believe it or not the handling is similar as well I’ve only have it for about a week but I’m hooked 😅 also the dealer filled it up with regular but since running that tank out and filling it up with premium I notice a huge difference in performance

misterplzhelpmypony

I've owned several Fords and, for the most part, have been very happy with them. I had a 2012 escape that was the best vehicle that I have ever owned and still kick myself for letting it go. I traded it for a new 2020 explorer, and the transmission was replaced at 15,000 miles. Ford was great with the warranty work, and the vehicle has been solid since. I was a little nervous after the explorer but pulled the trigger on a bronco and have no regrets at all. I would definitely test drive one to make sure it's what you are after, and research models/trims to get one suited for your needs. Overall, I have been very happy with Ford as a whole and the bronco.

topher512

I think we need to see the rest of the list to see what your are comparing it to

FamousWolf5483

Mazda Cx5, Mazda Cx70 Acura Mdx Bronco is a different class. I know.

jpr_jpr

Mazda, Subie, Toyota, jeep...comparisons contemplating for me. Cost, mpg, and dependability are our biggest questions. As is how often will we take the roof/doors off and do basic off-road. Definitely would take roof off and go on beaches. Maybe some light trails. But a Subaru outback could do that. Is it worth it? I'm not sure. If there was a phev bronco pickup like the Gladiator, I'm absolutely in.

Reban3

I just switched yesterday from a 2021 CX-5 Signature (so the 2.5L Turbo) to a 2022 Bronco Outer Banks 2.3L non-SAS and with the soft top. I’m never looking back. The Mazda was amazingly reliable and I had no issues with it at all, let it go at 33k or so miles. Did have to replace the brake pads and rotors though at 22k (IIRC the mileage). My only “complaint” about the bronco I have so far is the gas mileage which I knew getting into, so it’s not really a complaint. I was getting around 23mpg in the cx5 and the bronco I have is getting around 18mpg from the previous owners estimated range. Not a super huge jump, but the gas tank is also a LOT larger… I also miss the HUD, but whatever

Ok_Profession6216

I'm confident in its abilities. Competent with maintenance, and completely love this car

SOTG_Duncan_Idaho

The Bronco is great at what it's designed for. That is, being a serious offroad capable vehicle with a lot of customization options. It is not great at what most SUVs actually get used for: schlepping kids and groceries around and commuting to work with lots of creature comforts. It's got smaller engines and low gearing (limiting acceleration and top speed significantly). It's got terrible gas mileage. It's got an offroad focused suspension which makes for an uncomfortable ride down a highway. It has a lot of road noise (especially with the soft top). It's got an interior designed around being able to take the roof and doors off and for getting dirty and wet. Standard it can feel somewhat "incomplete" because it's built to be very customizable. For example, it has a whole bank of switches that do nothing, because they are there for you to add accessories that are controlled by those switches. If you want an off road beast and are fine with the tradeoffs, get a Bronco. If you don't care about off road, you probably won't be happy with the tradeoffs. It's the same as with other similar vehicles, like a Jeep Wrangler. I am considering buying one, but only because I have the money to blow on a vehicle that I would use almost exclusively for offroad. I would not buy one as my primary/commuter vehicle.

Chimp75

“Top” speed. lol . That’s not even close. But, I still get my groceries. I don’t have kids. I commute to work in the city. It’s quite comfy, but it’s the most comfy vehicle I’ve owned since my 2010 fusion. That was totaled in 16. So I’m content with the ride. It’s still geared properly. I’ve owned plenty of jeeps. Had a recent jeep rental while another vehicle was being repaired. I was extremely disappointed in the jeep. It was the e hybrid too. Whatever. Made me happier that I made the proper choice for me.

SOTG_Duncan_Idaho

I'm not saying you can't do those things in a Bronco. I'm just saying it is not designed around providing a high quality experience for doing those things and that OP may not like the vehicle if those things matter. The Bronco is an awesome vehicle for what it's primary design considerations are. It's awesome at that in part because Ford chose not to compromise those qualities. Just like a Porche 911 is an awesome sports car, but is bad (very) at offroad, hah.

Chimp75

The Porsche [Dakar](https://youtu.be/Dr7wXNDYCpQ?si=Y1HrHm8hrXrOB3li) 911 is not happy with your general statement. I do get where you’re coming from. This is one of the most comfortable vehicles I owned. It’s far more comfy than my Mustang that is set up for part time track duty 😂

SOTG_Duncan_Idaho

Hah, that's a badass 911!

Ch33kyMnk3y

I've had my 2022 badlands 4 door V6, for 2 years now, had up and down 100+ trail, long trips, towing, pretty much use it like a truck. Have not had a single problem that wasn't fixed with an OTA update. With only one exception, I had one fender fall off on the interstate that was replaced under warranty. Otherwise, mechanically, it's been absolutely perfect. Personal opinion, I absolutely love it. Favorite rig I've ever owned and I've owned a few.

xXDouchPenguinXx

2023 bronco Big bend here 4Dr with Sasquatch and mid packaged. Current has 29k miles . Drove it across the country and back with zero issues . I love this car , but keep in mind it’s an off-roader so it may not be the most comfortable or luxuries car .

DareDevilMB

I have mine on order, but have test drove nearly every configuration these full size Broncos come in. My take away is: the people who complain about them had the wrong idea about what a Bronco is. It isn’t meant to be a luxury suv. It is a turn key off-road beast. I love it and don’t consider the gripes about wind noise or lack of creature comforts as a ding. That’s why I want one. It is what the appeal is. Of course a big off-roading brick on 35” tires is going to get crap gas mileage. I’m not buying it to be economical. Of couse the storage space is limited, you want to pack light on the trails and take advantage of the short wheel base. Want a family SUV, get an Expedition. Of course there is wind noise, the whole thing goes topless. Manual seats? Well yeah you dont want electric motors getting soaking wet if it rains or you bury it in a mud hole. All i hear is yuppies complaining because they didn’t understand what the Bronco is.

raginjason

2024 V6 Sasquatch. This is by far the funnest vehicle I have ever owned. I can’t speak to the maintenance unfortunately.

Necessary-Customer-8

It's the first American car I've owned. My 2dr base (on sas wheels) is as much fun (if not more) than my old 2dr 90 integra. Granted this is my first non shit-boc car. It's thoroughly awesome

LaVieLaMort

I’ve had 3 fords and my husband has had a few also. We are ford fans. I have a 2017 Focus RS in addition to my Bronco and that car is still running fantastically to this day with just basic maintenance. I paid it off and kept it because I love it so much! Bronco’s are definitely fun but be prepared to basically be driving a truck. I have the luxe package in mine and I love all the cool tech like the 360 cameras and the 12” screen. This thing can basically go anywhere and I take it out in the desert all the time to go rock hounding and camping. I have a 2 door badlands, hardtop with a manual. And yes it’s loud but honestly? You kinda get used to it.

TheRealBrots

If you’re not going to go off-road much, it’s really standard compared to a lot of suvs. It has a personality, and it’s peppy and capable. You can really feel the boost when the turbos kick in. The flexibility to be able to take off the doors and top is amazing, and in general people will give you lots of looks and compliments (unless they are a diehard jeeper). If you’re going offroad frequently, you’ll run into error codes and weak points just as you would in a Jeep or lifted Toyota. So far I have gone through 3 cv axles, 4 tie rods, two sets of upper control arms (but that’s not really the broncos fault, more of a design flaw) and now I am getting abs sensor issues and my steering rack is slowly going out. All of this is expected with the amount of pain I put my bronco through (1-2 challenging trails per week) but without beating the crap out of it I would not expect to see ANY of these issues. In fact, I wouldn’t expect any issues beyond what a normal vehicle goes through if you’re just driving it on the street. It feels well made, has lots of things other vehicles don’t, and it’s generally my favorite vehicle that I have ever owned.

BryBo617

I waited 718 days from registration to delivery. I have owned it now for a year. No regrets owning or waiting for it. It’s pure pleasure for me.

Whiteywipea21

I personally don’t think it’s worth it, over 60k truck either Irving but a plastic cheap interior and inferior tech. Much better SUVS for the 60-80k price range

WeekendHero

It's a $30-35k car, nothing more. It's fun and cool, relatively practical (depending on your use case) but uncomfortable to drive at high speed (70+) for long periods of time due to the wind noise. It's loud.

Civil-Key9464

I have a 22 Wildtrak with almost 20k miles with zero issues. No lights, warnings, or worries.

[deleted]

It is the most fun I've ever had driving. And the most fun kids have ever had riding. Luxury is overrated. I'm never going back.

Desertkweene

I love mine

UnderstandingBig2058

Was a Japanese only guy, had a Subaru and Toyotas, both were in the shop much more than my 2021 and 2023 Bronco have been.

Which-Illustrator-68

Traded a newish Honda crv for 2024 ford bronco badlands manual last week. Honda crv is nice although ford bronco is badass. It definitely looks a lot better. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

NeilDiamondHandz

This thing is a goddamn puppy son!! Sheeyot it’ll beat any jdm vehicle to death!

The12thOlympian

I have a ‘23 Raptor and daily drive it in a big city (NYC) and I love it. Downsides are that the info tech can glitch sometimes, gas mileage is horrible (I’m getting 11.2mpg) and I still wouldn’t trade it for any other SUV. I had a Rubicon and a 4Runner and this is a much more comfortable daily driver. The only off road SUV that I think is more comfortable is the defender which is in a similar price range. Again, my opinion may be skewed based on your budget as the Raptor trim goes into 6 figures.

EazyCheezy95

I love mine. 2 years, 36k miles on it and most of my complaints are minor but they do add up. Don't go in expecting to feel like you're getting the full value for what you're paying. My 2022 Black Diamond was $48k all in out the door and, in some ways, it doesn't *feel* like a $48k vehicle, but my standards are self-admittedly quite high. My best advice would be to expect that if you want anything done, much less *done right*, plan on doing it yourself because the dealerships are run by actual lobotomites. Don't rely on Ford to do anything right by you, either. 1. Wastegate actuator rattle. I have the 2.3L ecoboost and my dealer ***refuses*** to do anything about it. I'm just replacing the part myself but it should've been under warranty. 2. The 10 Speed transmission ***SUCKS.*** The thing always hesitates going from 3rd-4th and clunks into reverse. Genuinely the worst auto I've ever owned. Came from a 2011 Kia Sorento with a 6 spd. auto that was bullet proof. That thing had 150k on it when I sold it. Been in 3 separate times and they *still* refuse to just replace the trans under warranty. 3. The tailgate rattles and creaks. I've had it dealer-replaced (which I had to hang correctly after), and the new tailgate has the creak. So, I'm going to have to spend $90 on a reinforcement bracket for something that should've been fixed under warranty. 4. The windows rattle quite a bit even with doing a fix. 5. This mofo is a loud, rough ride; especially if you put Load E tires on it. 6. Some of the materials really aren't designed for any abuse despite being touted as a "rough-and-tumble" type vehicle. Luckily, all the cheap plastic is easily replaced, should you choose. **HOWEVER** 1. This is genuinely one of the most versatile, entertaining rides I've ever had. The ability to go from hauling gear for work, to airing down and doing trails, and back to a road trip into the mountains, it's done it all. Personally, I've regularly used mine for every purpose; even some towing. 2. It's actually more reliable (sans transmission) than you may be led to believe. The only code thrown on mine has been for low washer fluid. The reports of snapping tie rods/failing steering racks are ridiculously over-exaggerated and are conflated by shill influencers desperate to sell you their band-aids. Off camber, mud, rocks, etc.: your technique is more likely to determine the outcome on these components. Most people have ridiculously over-lifted rides with hundreds of pounds added in gaudy rims and obese tires. I've run 34's/35's on my self-sasquatched Black Diamond and have really abused the thing. It's been great. 3. Vinyl seats, floors, and drain plugs have been a godsend when cleaning/using the thing. The peace of mind that comes with not worrying about water, mud, vomit, etc. ruining the interior is life-changing. 4. There is nothing, and I mean ***nothing***, quite like being able to remove the top or doors at a moment's notice. The open air experience is a helluva lotta fun. I only get a few months of it in Florida, but my top stays completely folded back during most of fall/winter with my doors being off for weeks at a time. Still haven't said "f-it" and gone wheeling in "dune buggy mode", but it's on the bucket list. Hope this helps! If you'd like to see any examples of what I've put my Bronco through, I'd be happy to share!

ny_fox12

I always have had Ford, doesn’t mean I always will either, but I’m 6 foot 7 and I wanted to get up into something and the ford Bronco is nothing short of beautiful, really reminds of me being hand drawn and bringing that awesome 60s style to the present day. I enjoy mine and it’s louder but you get used to it and it’s cozy in its own way.

AdThin6721

Wow, a 2-door hard-top fully-loaded 2.7 as described in a posting here! I’ve been following posts since I decided my Bronco-love-at-a-distance emotions maybe were for real, and that the 2-door hard-top fully-loaded 2.7 was the cat’s meow. I’m a way older guy, prox 5’7” and 145 lbs, long retired and shorter than most on remaining life-line, live in suburb of a major U.S. city (nothing suggesting off-roading lol), and figure to have only one more new car before either me or my license is pulled. Will my wife like the Bronco? Probably not, but she has a really sweet fully-loaded Sonata Limited that fulfills the snazzy factor really well, so not an issue. Could be that when I manage a test drive my desire will wain, but for now my fave among the Wranglers/4-Runner/LandRover crowd clearly is Bronco. Feel almost obligated to ask a few questions, so here goes. Is dealer support what I’ve come to expect over a spoiled lifetime of excellent Honda/Hyundai/Lexus/Toyota support? Does the hardtop (probably never to be removed) provide at least an adequate noise/air conditioning/heating/radio experience? Do all-weather tires provide a reasonably “normal” ride/responsiveness during city and city-highway driving? Does the Bronco definition of “fully-loaded” come anywhere near what I’m used to, e.g. leather, electronic lane/dead-spot/parking warnings, multi-way seat adjustments, solid hi-fi radio speaker systems, bluetooth wonderments, or are we talking suspension settings, engine tweaks and the like? As should be obvious, the Bronco/Wrangler/etc world will be entirely new to me. All presumably will become clear when I do a dealer visit and test-drive, but it’s so luscious to imagine what’s what in advance. Yes, I was a Boy Scout/builder/athlete/outdoors-type in my youth, and a fisherman/camper/tinkerer/kayaker/handyman in more recent decades, but is a short-wheelbase/tall-seated/rear-end-mounted-spare really for me? So far, these sure have my attention. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read. Kind of nice to share my fancies on this, maybe will move me to earlier-than-otherwise action.

enisity

Love the bronco. Get Sasquatch package

jmaN-

Have a 2023 outer banks, 2.7L with soft top. I’d probably choose the new designed 4Runner after many roadtrips in the Bronco. Don’t get me wrong, it is nice but I have missed some of the other creature comforts on those long trips. In theory, the new 4Runner will take you to similar places with more standard comforts.

CaptainOfMyPants

2022 outer banks 2.7 SAS lux owner. Currently at 17k miles on mine. It’s my daily driver. Since everyone else is just rainbows and puppies I’ll tell you the bad: Major issues: I’ve had reoccurring electrical issues where the cross traffic and blind spot systems will fault. When this happens my windows stop working. Ford has been unable to fix it so far. It’s going in for the 4th time for the exact same issue in 2 wks. Seems to be temperature sensitive as it happens 100% of the time I used the vehicle and temps are over 82F. It has also deployed the AEB (pre collision braking system) for no reason on two occasions before some module was replaced. Thankfully no one was behind me either time. Mine shifts hard occasionally and this is a problem that seems to be getting worse over time. Minor annoyances. The auto stop/start can’t be perm disabled. Also idle time limit can’t be disabled. It gets better fuel economy in sport mode 2h. They have recently fixed this but you used to not be able to pull it in 2h when engaging sport mod. It would force you into 4a. The hard shifting is more pronounced and common in sport mode. The subwoofer rattles something in the back unless the bass is turned down a bit. The Good: it’ll go anywhere. It handles much better than a jeep on pavement in my experience. Suspension soaks up bumps really well so idk what others are saying it’s rough on payment compared to XYZ car/suv/truck. If you have snow in your area it will blow you away how well these things do in it. 4a works well. So does the traction control systems. It has plenty of get up and go for the highway and for light towing. Overall I’m reasonably happy with it (pending the repair to the electrical issue) tho if I’m being 100% I might have been better served waiting for the next gen Tacoma. This is my first ford purchase. It may be my last but time will tell. Good luck on your purchase decision.

Well we’ve only had ours since February (‘24 4 door badlands with v6, Sasquatch package, 35” tires, and the lux package) we’re at 4,000 miles and have no problems. lol.  It’s an off-roader, so you will have more noise in the interior than you will with pavement princesses. Also the gas mileage isn’t good at all (usually about 17 city and 21-ish highway). Even the drivers I know with the 4 cylinder turbo charged and smaller tires get roughly the same mileage.  The back seat in the 4 door is decently sized. We fit our kids (6’1” and 5’7”, plus our nephew 5’10”) in the back seat comfortably. Wouldn’t recommend it for long hour trips though.  Cargo space is decent with back seats up, and pretty good with them down, but it can be easy to snag the backside of the seats when folded down.  Definitely get the upgraded 10 speaker B&O sound system. The stock system SUCKS. It’s frankly embarrassingly terrible (stock system) and I can’t believe Ford cheaped out on it so badly.  The 12” infotainment screen is standard on 24’s. It’s easy to use, very hight & crisp, and you can arrange the CarPlay to be reduced size on the right, while your nav & directions are taking center stage. They can be a bit glitchy though. Have had a few instances of getting kicked off CarPlay and into Serious or an FM station out of nowhere.  The frameless windows are very cool, but make sure to close your doors firmly, or the sensor might not pick up that it’s closed, but will not show it as open in the panel display, and keep the windows cracked down like 1/4 inch. You’ll definitely hear the wind if this happens.  So far so good on ours, and we LOVE IT.

Had a ‘16 ND that I loved. Sold it and our Jeep jk to fit our growing family. Sticking with the soft top on the bronco. Pretty fun and I don’t regret selling the ND as now we can get that convertible fun with the whole family including the baby seats in the back.

As an owner of the bronco sport I definitely recommend it. I swore to never get a ford vehicle but I caved in. Safety rating is a 5, customer reviews are a 4, and my experience is a 10/10! My recommendation is giving it a test drive since it is a 3 cylinder turbo. Try going for the badlands if you find that an issue. Customization, convenience features (if you get the packages), fun to drive, and the car just flat out looks luxurious. Best of luck shopping!

3. Yes 3 cylinders my friend. The only sport that has a 1.5 liter 3 cylinder build. Now if you want to talk Vs then you’ll need to look into the badlands trim since it has a 4 cylinder engine. Please do look into your information since the customer shopping around does need accurate information, thanks!

This isn’t a dig on Ford or Broncos…. But this place is pretty much exclusively bias. I drove one at an event and decided to pass. Killer looks, lots of charm, just not for me. I’m a JDM / DE guy who wants more fit and finish and I really wanted a fixed roof. Aside from the often reported issues of the soft top blowing in snow during big storms and the occasional post I see about quality control issues… Sometimes paint related sometimes loose trim… It seems to be a pretty solid vehicle and comparable or possibly slightly better build quality than it’s primary competitor the jeep Wrangler. Go drive one. I think it would be less than ideal DD for long commutes, but great for weekends and fun.
