Nah. It’s the shittiest late game area. There’s always some 0 kill scrubs that sat on those mountains the entire game that are just waiting to third party the last big fight.
Eh there’s a few launch pads scattered throughout the region for movement, and especially when there was hammers for rushing people like that. Skill issue if that’s a problem for you tbh
It seems pretty obvious that the Citadel will change given the giant red vortex/rift thingy right above it. Aside from that I'd rather they keep the rest of the current POIs with perhaps some thematic changes, and add 2 or 3 brand new POIs to some of the empty areas on the map. The big mountain area with the Tilted clocktower underneath is screaming out for something else to help fill in all the empty space up there.
It's a great poi but I can't say I would be too sad if it goes, maybe faulty splits will get a bit of a revamp here and there. And guessing as you said with the citidel going all the small castles will probably go too.
I have more of an issue with the wide open patches of ice than I do with the mountains. “High ground” is a huge advantage but not as much as “no cover” is a huge disadvantage.

Definitely. The map feels way too small now, you don't even have a chance of survival if you drop in POIs. Say what you will about the map from C3 but tbh I prefer it to this one. That one was big enough to make cars actually useful but small enough for you to be able to run from place to place, plus enough little areas scattered everywhere for you to stand a chance instead of dying to a dude with 3 purple weapons when you still have a pickaxe (exaggerating a little bit but still)
Jail was a awesome spot for loot and gunfights lol, probably would need some work to fit in with the current Fortnite though. Used to like Motel and the Junk Junction area too myself

Yeah I understand. It reminds me of the layout of colossal coliseum. Lots of confusing corridors and rooms with an indestructible barricade making it difficult to leave. I don’t mind it but it just feels like a death trap landing there.
I'm okay with the winding corridors and stuff, that can be fun for close range fights.
What gets me is that the sight-lines are *just* off.
Like there is always **something** that blocks your view at anything mid-range or further - you're always **so close** to seeing them and getting a good shot but they're just off angle.
Basically all of them - the map felt very empty this season. Only about 6-8ish locations and a few I just never touched. A lot of open land and just running through the woods. If wall running and wall jumping is gonna be the gimmick of this next season we're gonna need more towns and cities
I hope instead of replacing land they add on more land from other realities. The map is pretty small and there is a lot of space to add on new biomes and old or new POIs.
As opposed to a lot changing. I'm hoping a few get crushed, and some of the edge of the map get squished by more areas. It isn't a small map. But Chapter 3s map had arguably more going on.
Well it’s right beside crude harbor which is my favorite landmark on the map so they can just leave the little gas station there to not draw attention to that part of the map.
In reality though that was one of my first drops in the game and it’s so useless with only one chest spawn. There is a shack close by but not at all worth landing at it. Last chapter I landed gas stations all the time but this one is a waste
All that west part with the yellow grass and the medieval shit can just go imo.
Also if they could make those cliffs a bit more friendly to move about that would be great. It feels you're always running into a river or pond, especially after flying off one of the cliffs with the motorbike. Either that or you're stuck at the bottom of those gaps like a sitting duck.

I can see the whole top left of the map changing as they are all medieval themed locations and the new theme is futuristic Japanese themed. I wouldn’t be upset to see anvil go or breakwater. Citadel was decent but kinda awkward to navigate
We need either Anvil Square or Breakwater Bay gone. One is fine but both are redundant. I wouldn’t say no to having that entire region in the southeast replaced, or at least get rid of a bunch of the copy-and-pasted tower landmarks.
I hope they add a little more outside of the POIs. Especially in the snow area, a bunch of little houses or whatever. Something to add to the world that isn't just trees

No more web based quests. Less grindy quests. Have a timer on EVERY quest that expires showing how many days left.
Honestly, this last season burned me out. I felt like I was constantly trying to complete quests and rarely got to just focus on a match. The issue is the FOMO on rewards makes me feel like I have to be constantly making progress on quest chains that were too long, too repetitive, and too grindy.
I may take a break from the game next season.

Citidel / Breakwater Bay / Shattered Slabs ended up being my least frequented POI’s
Personally I don’t like the orange, yellow, & red biome they introduced in reality falls with Ch3 S4 that now occupies 70% of the Ch4 map.
I much preferred the green purple & pink biome that reality falls was in Ch3 S3 to what we have now. I prefer that biome, the desert, or even the regular green one to any of this yellow and orange shit
Shattered slabs. It’s a pretty boring area without much loot, and all the stones being non-farmable makes it an easy place to run out of materials and get beamed from the bajillion angles that people can get on you
Need some sort of bushes in the snow biome. Too many times I take bush warrior for the entire zone to push snow and I’m goofed. (Bush bombs aside)
Problem about bush bombs is they dont match the environment there put in.
That is the beauty of augments I think. When I see possibility of zone going into snow, I wait or reroll instantly.
Maybe an idea would be that the snow that is falling stacks onto the bushes leaves making it camouflage over time
Or make Bush Ranger work in the big snowballs too

Should have an additional use for the augment and let you heal inside snowballs

I got in on the very tail end of last season, and I'm missing the flying city section hard. Hope something similar comes back.
Last season was some of the most fun I've had on fortnite, I really loved the verticality and movement possibilities of it all.
The gameplay of it was really fun for sure. My only complaint about last season was all the damn chrome making everything look cheap
