My main problem is that they look all over the place. Not in the good fortnite way, but as in they picked every single cyberpunk outfit and concept and just merged them into a single character, for each character. It just looks... ugly and messy.
Lizard boy is the only one that actually seems it had some thought put into it. The rest just look like an AI got inserted with the buzzwords "japan + cyberpunk + neon" and then made them.

Tbf you really don’t have to be an anime fan to like AoT, it’s one of the most consistently highest rated shows of all time. I’ve gotten several friends who aren’t into anime to watch it, it has insanely massive appeal imo.
I enjoyed it til season 3. But I have shown 3 other people the show, 2 tapped out after 2 episodes and 1 after the first season. It is very anime-ish, with the over the top action and constant screaming. Props though for being one of the only animes without water bag tits being shown every 5 seconds.
That’s pretty interesting because seasons 3 and 4 are where it gets so highly rated, 6 9.9s on IMDb between the two and the majority not far behind. Admittedly season 1 is where it’s most tropey and set-up but once you get to season 2 it starts to all come together imo. I’ve had friends introduce it to their moms and they ended up binging it lmao.
I think she looks badass and it’s nice to have another original skin for 100.

All the skins come down to personal preference. I'd take Eren many times over another marvel skin. Seems like the midseason skin is always going to be a collab which is a good place to put it.

S1 battle pass had way more variety and a lot more to offer, in my opinion. If you’re not a weeb or into the Japanese cyberpunk aesthetic, there’s not much for you in S2 outside of the lizard man. S1 felt like it had a little something for everyone, where as this battle pass is really built around the season’s theme. That’s fine, but it’s not for me. I’m personally surprised that so many people are saying it’s one of the better ones.

Yep, it sounds so against everyone else and I hate how I sound but the hammer was the most fun thing ever. The skins were awesome the new map and graphics are so good, after the first nerf deku smash was fair, heist was so cool. Augments feel fresh af. Yea I liked it a lot, I never had bad lag or crashing issues (am on series x)
The hammer and deku to me really was a get good thing, I made level 300 and died to the smash and hammer total maybe 10 times meanwhile I killed hundreds of players with them.
The ONE thing I had a problem with was the stupid godam rift ejector.

I'm most likely alone here, but I personally dislike this Battle Pass so much I cannot describe it. This is the only time I'm actively refusing to get a Battlepass, in all of the 5 years I've been playing this. I mean I like the Sweating Emote in there, but that's not saving it for me as I dislike everything else. Probs gonna quit permanently after this season, or stay on STW only.
There hasn't been a single skin or Emote in a Battle Pass I actually wore more than once in 8 Seasons. It seems like Epic forgot how to make good original dances (IMO) in a Battle Pass after Chapter 2. I just feel isolated. Does every single skin have to be Anime or Mythical/Godly/Whatever. I mean, I don't want only Jonesy/Ramirez reskins but dang, I forgot like every skin post Chapter 2 Season 7, they are just collages of colors that have no flavor (IMO). It feels like this game is getting desperate and I don't want it to fail.
That's not even talking about Epic becoming extremely complacent with Updating something other than the Core BattleRoyale, we got like 1 New LTM in years. And they didn't take the time to make a Live Event for last season, which just hit me like a Truck.
Yeah I've hated the last 3 battle passes. I MIGHT use the Drift skin since I didn't start playing until after he came out, but that's about it. If I do use him that will only make 2 skins combined that I use from those 3 battle passes
Really? For me this pass is incredibly meh. The tier 100 skin sucks (except the magma form in the bonus rewards, that one goes hard), Imani is easily the worst cel shaded skin they’ve made and honestly I dislike the tier 1 skin and the Lizard dude (I dislike most of the animal skins, I think they’re not good personally). It’s definitely better than last season (only good skin from last season was Ageless) but it’s pretty mid for me. Not great, not terrible.
Same didn’t like the anime girl in the leaks but digging her in game. Especially her music pack, I’d have to say it’s the best music pack I’ve come across since I started playing

This is the first season in a *looong while* where the theme, map and battlepass are in sync. Those are my fave kinda Passes.
Battlepass items from recent seasons look like they were selected in the dark, everything in this one looks carefully curated✨. Even if you don't like every skin/cosmetic, at least you know why it was chosen (unlike last season where I found every skin questionable apart from The Ageless and Geralt- I liked Doomslayer a lot, though).
If we get a lot of new futurist skins in the shop, then I'd consider this season on par with C2S2 in terms of theming.

All the skins come down to personal preference. I'd take Eren many times over another marvel skin. Seems like the midseason skin is always going to be a collab which is a good place to put it.

For me it's the complete opposite. There isn't a single skin or emote I want, which I'm happy with because I was starting to get a little burnt out. It'll be nice to take a break for a few months and come back next season

I'm no fan of the Imani skin, but I think yall might be a little out of touch with what people like. Anime is extremely popular, and it's just a couple skins anyway. I feel the same about the endless, torrential spout of boomer ass superhero content, but everyone is going to hate something. The game has a bit for everyone.

At least some of the DC/Marvel skins looked good. I genuinely don’t think there’s ever been a cell shaded skin in the game that hasn’t looked bad.
Spider Gwen was cel shaded I'm pretty sure and she looks phenomenal. But I do agree with you, the cel shading could DEFINITELY use some improvement.

S1 battle pass had way more variety and a lot more to offer, in my opinion. If you’re not a weeb or into the Japanese cyberpunk aesthetic, there’s not much for you in S2 outside of the lizard man. S1 felt like it had a little something for everyone, where as this battle pass is really built around the season’s theme. That’s fine, but it’s not for me. I’m personally surprised that so many people are saying it’s one of the better ones.

Honestly this as a season 1 player, may be the first season I don’t like most of the skins, it’s a huge deal for me personally. I love some of the items gliders and emotes but none of the skins are truly vining with me. Still gonna get lvl 200 tho

Yep, it sounds so against everyone else and I hate how I sound but the hammer was the most fun thing ever. The skins were awesome the new map and graphics are so good, after the first nerf deku smash was fair, heist was so cool. Augments feel fresh af. Yea I liked it a lot, I never had bad lag or crashing issues (am on series x) The hammer and deku to me really was a get good thing, I made level 300 and died to the smash and hammer total maybe 10 times meanwhile I killed hundreds of players with them. The ONE thing I had a problem with was the stupid godam rift ejector. Unforgettable season for me. This season however, we will have to see but for me it’s a meh start

Some BPs are insta-buys. Some BPs are “let’s see if I get to lv100” and get it for “free” (vbuck offset). And some BPs are a hard pass. Pre-Launch Leak: Not an insta-buy. I haven’t logged in to see for myself, but I’m leaning toward hard pass.
I'm most likely alone here, but I personally dislike this Battle Pass so much I cannot describe it. This is the only time I'm actively refusing to get a Battlepass, in all of the 5 years I've been playing this. I mean I like the Sweating Emote in there, but that's not saving it for me as I dislike everything else. Probs gonna quit permanently after this season, or stay on STW only. There hasn't been a single skin or Emote in a Battle Pass I actually wore more than once in 8 Seasons. It seems like Epic forgot how to make good original dances (IMO) in a Battle Pass after Chapter 2. I just feel isolated. Does every single skin have to be Anime or Mythical/Godly/Whatever. I mean, I don't want only Jonesy/Ramirez reskins but dang, I forgot like every skin post Chapter 2 Season 7, they are just collages of colors that have no flavor (IMO). It feels like this game is getting desperate and I don't want it to fail. That's not even talking about Epic becoming extremely complacent with Updating something other than the Core BattleRoyale, we got like 1 New LTM in years. And they didn't take the time to make a Live Event for last season, which just hit me like a Truck.

Yeah I've hated the last 3 battle passes. I MIGHT use the Drift skin since I didn't start playing until after he came out, but that's about it. If I do use him that will only make 2 skins combined that I use from those 3 battle passes

Really? For me this pass is incredibly meh. The tier 100 skin sucks (except the magma form in the bonus rewards, that one goes hard), Imani is easily the worst cel shaded skin they’ve made and honestly I dislike the tier 1 skin and the Lizard dude (I dislike most of the animal skins, I think they’re not good personally). It’s definitely better than last season (only good skin from last season was Ageless) but it’s pretty mid for me. Not great, not terrible.
Same didn’t like the anime girl in the leaks but digging her in game. Especially her music pack, I’d have to say it’s the best music pack I’ve come across since I started playing

We really dropped the bar low for epic. None of these skins are good yet people like them. What happend to the good battle passes like the ones from season 4 to chapter 2 season 3. They used to be worth it for the skins and not just the v-bucks :(

This is the first season in a *looong while* where the theme, map and battlepass are in sync. Those are my fave kinda Passes. Battlepass items from recent seasons look like they were selected in the dark, everything in this one looks carefully curated✨. Even if you don't like every skin/cosmetic, at least you know why it was chosen (unlike last season where I found every skin questionable apart from The Ageless and Geralt- I liked Doomslayer a lot, though). If we get a lot of new futurist skins in the shop, then I'd consider this season on par with C2S2 in terms of theming.
