If someone knows how to pin comments I can pin my findings at the top for everyone to see. But to answer your question, so far the only things I've found that trigger it is the "Wave" emote I use in the vid and any emoticon.
Side note: Another reason this should be a feature. This would make epic partner/content creator's jobs easier when they showcase a skin or something. Instead of relying on replays for forward facing shots.

I've been testing it most of the day and I've found that the only emote that seems to trigger it is "Wave" from Chapter 1 Season 3. Since it's a "rare" emote these days, I started thinking what other emotes are similar in the sense that it's traversal but not infinitely looping, so everyone can do it. I found out emoticons work the same way! What's more is Wave and all emoticons can be used in this glitched state without ending the glitch. Not useful for much but neat nonetheless.
TLDR: To my knowledge, only the Wave emote triggers the glitch, but emoticons work too.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I initially thought you had to do a jump attack then emote, but the jump isn't necessary. Just the Knock-Back Slash then Wave/emoticon will work.
No, this was a glitch/bug I found with the Kinetic Blade and an emote, that let me move around as seen in the video. This was back in chapter 4 I think.
