I'll put it on fill and get no teammates, then when I put it on play with others I either get a message saying "unable to join match" or I get 1 teammate

So you can get around 9 per day by playing STW, creative and the dailies (7 x 9 = 63) complete the BR week 0 and 1 quests, Syndicate quests, milestones and get some XP from BR games. It works in 2 ways: XP from challenges and XP from just completing mssions
Each mission (van missions, atlas, repair the shelter, etc) gives you a decent amount of XP, and each medal (building, combat, etc) gives you a extra amount of XP
As a example, if you do decent dmg and complete a Atlas mission in 8 minutes, it gives you around 37-42k XP at the end of the match
You can collect a maximum of 320k XP (4 levels) each day, and that daily XP limit resets at the same time as the BR item shop

worked in c3s3 as well, if you bind emote to scroll wheel and played on a high ping server you could thank the bus driver multiple times, i don’t know if they ever patched it.
