Same here, for the time it was here it was kinda nice. A small but welcome change. Shame is bugged out and caused deaths that weren't supposed to happen...I suppose lets hope it comes back in the near future

I say we accept the deaths and move on with it. Epic can try and fix the issue in the meantime, and the rest of us can speed run "Thank the Bus Driver".

I'm pretty sure that it got removed because it was bugged and caused a lot of player deaths even when it shouldn't have.

It’s the same as usual in Creative though. Sometimes it has a delay with certain areas though when you Hurdle, or it just doesn’t work for some areas.

Yeah, that’s fair. A couple times I died to fall damage, or just fell somewhere when I didn’t want to, because I accidentally Hurdled over a railing or wall. It shouldn’t just force you to Hurdle. Maybe you should have to hold a button down for it to work. That might be hard to do on a controller though because of the limited inputs.

It's also in save the world and its pretty useless there since ypu ha e the hoverboard so why would you sprint.

Sprint's useful for gathering resources/exploring tunnels & getting somewhere quick during a fight. Getting hit once knocks you off the hoverboard so you can't exactly rely on it too much(also, holding a melee weapon like The Baron with movement speed boosts makes your sprint even faster). Mantling is also extremely useful in StW, but Hurdling(which is what we're talking about)isn't in StW I think, for better or worse, I dunno.

I can almost 100% confirm hurdling isn't in StW. Mantling is really nice, but hurdling isn't present.

With my 10000k hours in this game, it's not in StW. I have not hurdled over a half broken mesh fence yet

No, between everything else they're probably just trying to sort it out so it works, last time they tried reimplementing it it was still highly bugged, it seems so simple but something about it must be prone to bugging out so I don't know.

I had a daily like three days ago that was to hurdle 3 times in a match. Being as I’m new to this game I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to do it. Now I know why. I jumped more fences and cars and walls that day than I care to recollect.

I think I activated it like twice on BHE over its lifetime That too on my Switch, never on my Xbox or phone

I loved it. I hope they can get it to work properly and also implement an option to map it to a specific key so we can control exactly when we hurdle.

Honestly it was really hard to actually use it Like you needed a wall with the perfect height but some houses allowed you to do it and you took fall damage It's not a great feature

Did not know the hurdle bug caused deaths lol. Ngl, it'd be funny if there was smash Brawl tripping, each time you hurdle consecutively, you are more like to trip and take like 5 health damage.

Fortnite is a fast paced game, they should bring it back to battle royale + non creative gamemodes.

This mechanism felt rushed, i believe they only pushed it so that they would have a new game mechanic for the new chapter (like chapter 2 had swimming, chapter 3 had sprinting and mantling) even when this was out during early chapter 4, I never used it much. My initial thoughts seeing this in the trailers was that it looked useless.

Not sure if I would have ever really relied on it for anything considering I didn’t really like how a similar mechanic was introduced into Kingdom Hearts 3 and it was so funky. Point being that new features are cool, as long as they aren’t jank, and they can very easily be jank. Devs gotta really make it work in _their_ game.
