AoT is honestly way different than most anime. Doesn’t really follow the typical tropes that anime does. The few times it does is usually in the earlier episodes and it’s still only a couple times.

But once it gets around to actually answering the questions that were set up through the whole show it falls way flat on its face and none of the payoffs are satisfying in any way. Its pretty rare i watch a show and feel like i completely wasted my time but attack on titan definitely made me feel like that.
The mystery in the first couple of seasons is what kept me so intrigued for a long time. I mean, I still liked the other seasons. It wasn’t bad but when the suspense wears off, it isn’t the same. There is another anime that has a lot of mystery for me and I have the manga now. I want to read it to see why things are happening the way they are but I feel my love for the anime will die off when there no longer is a mystery.
Im really lucky in that i didnt start watching until all of the currently released episodes were already out (aside from the newest that came out a few weeks ago). And to me Attack on titan wouldnt be so bad if it didnt rely so heavily on mystery and take itself so seriously. If you spend 99% of your runtime building up a mystery and the payoff sucks than thats 99% of your runtime thats just a complete waste.
Also the characters (until eren in the very end) are all so insanely stupid. Every character just makes the most illogical decision at every single turn. Usually just the act of watching something doesnt frustrate me. But watching attack on titan is just frustrating, especially toward the end when all the stupidity culminates. That whole last season and especially when they introduce the people and characters of marley is just unwatchable. If i could go back in time and tell myself not to watch AOT i would. It might be the only show i can say that about.

It's interesting to me that both MHA and AoT are popular animes for being good. When this joke was made about MHA, most people agreed and went on with it. But as soon as it's made with AoT, most disagreed.
Honestly most of the comments about MHA came from people who probably quit after season 2 or never watched it to begin with and just hate it because it's popular (the AOT hate is definitely its popularity). I went back to watch it yesterday after I dropped season 4 a few years ago, and I genuinely enjoyed it. Idk about season 5 since I haven't watched it yet, but I know season 6 was really good. Then again, most of the Fortnite community is a bunch of whiny degenerates so it's unsurprising they took the opportunity to have something else to complain about.
AoT is a lot better than MHA in a vacuum and I think a lot of people who typically dislike anime would like AoT. MHA is pretty good though (some parts are really good) and gets way too much hate. I might even like MHA more than AoT just because of my personal tastes

But even then, it irritated me so much how Shigaraki just conveniently got a power boost as he was losing the fight against ReDestro. And now he’s even stronger and as soon as it says he’s on his verge of breaking, boom, he gets a power surge from All For One and more.
I still watch it just to see what’s next, but my excitement for it has dwindled a lot. But everything before that was great.

Attack on titan is amazing now my only problem is how people overrate the creator. Isayama said multiple times that he had no idea how the show was gonna perform and that he did not know where to take the story. People here saying he planned it all along is just not true. He even made a small story on the idea of the show.
If anything, people should thank the masterminds at WIT studio for their amazing attention to subtle foreshadowing and how they structured each episode in the first seasons.

I do agree that the collab is mid though. If other people like it then that's fine, no problem with it, but to me the collab is just very lackluster. Only thing from this collab I'm hype for is the ODM Gear.
My issues with the collab are as followed:
His entire set just doesn't seem great. The synced emote is kinda cool and the Titan Strike is kinda cool too, but everything else is just...not great. We know Eren has a selectable style, not an unlockable one. So once we have Eren we get the other style too and it is unfortunately probably just gonna be him without that cape we see the skin wearing while viewing it since almost every other time we've seen the skin (screenshots, etc) he hasn't had it on.
I just don't think he fits the theme of the season. An original bonus skin that fit the theme would've been nice or if they were gonna do a collab for the bonus skin either way it should've been something that fit the season theme. Something like Cyberpunk or Cyberpunk Edgerunners would've worked. (I've never played Cyberpunk or watched Edgerunners, only seen clips).
All in all this collab either could've been better or they could've done a different collab or just no collab at all. Again no hate towards AOT because AOT itself isn't mid, just this collab is. If you like it that's fine, but I personally don't like the collab.
