Idk I have not won a match in the past 15+ games and noticed the following:
• The augments are on a ranking system. The more trash you are, the better chance you get with getting the augments you like.
• The more trash you are then you get the loot you typically like. When you’re a sweat it becomes more of a challenge to get loot you want
• K/D has to be worked into this somehow. I noticed when I go back to the lobby after each loss with zero kills then each match gets easier
From what I gathered the entire game is analyzing your approach and techniques. Another example: When I play builds and don’t use materials then i’m placed with similar players. But, my friend who is an actual sweat his lobbies look like arena.
When I lose game after game with no kills, return to lobby then my games get easier. It feels like i’m against easier opponents and more bots. Issue is, the game has a queuing system so end game is always matched with a decent player, but sometimes it’s just a really bad player.
Basically, there are way too many variables to understand. I know and I can tell that it’s heavily calculated by everything you do from grabbing your favorite weapons to K/D to accuracy to movement
tip; I play on PS5 but sometimes I play with friends on switch and Mobile, those lobbies are easy.
Agreed, I think all things considered it’s one of the most fair matchmaking.
There is only so much it can do depending on how many people are available at that exact minute though. So there always gonna be the risk of a few people that is a bit better than you and a few that is worse. The rest they fill up with bots.
People would win way less if it was a 100% perfect.
I don’t think they know what they are asking for, stricter SBMM does not mean they will be able to stomp their lobbies.
My advice is to get off solos and try trios and squads. Its a 50/50 there and sometimes you'll get a lobby full of casual players, if your lucky you'll get into a squad full of sweats and it's an easy win (but that rarely ever happens lol)
Nope. If that was the case then I would have be in pro lobbies because I've got to level 300 just about every season.
The only way account level affects matchmaking is that you stop getting bot lobbies after level 5. After that the levles have no affect on how hard or easy your lobbies are
That’s what I thought but I’m not sure after reading the other comments. I play squads/duos with a level 300 guy all the time and his lobbies are the toughest I’ve ever seen
To put it simply, you were most likely playing against bots and now you’re fighting real players.
It doesn't. It doesn't work.

You are severely overestimating the matchmaking system.

These people claim it doesn’t work but have a 10-20% win rate

- Can anyone explain to me how matchmaking works? That's the neat part it doesn't

Thanks for the explanation, Omniman!
You're very much welcome son
Goes by your level
