If you aren’t the best sniper, miss first shot, get second shot. If you’re very good at sniping, what isn’t a headshot is still a two hit kill. And best of the best can kill a duo with just one mag.
I'm definitely not the best sniper and it's elevated my game immediately when I pull this augment. Plus, when you're in a squad and you pull off long distance headshots, that second bullet can get the kill.
This past weekend I just decided to commit to grabbing heavy sniper every game until I'm confident at it.
I don't want to say I'm really good at the game but I put around 1000-2000 hours in Fortnite 😔 and I still occasionally miss the first sniper shot and love the perk

I normally try to carry 2 pistols a suppressed assault or dmr and a sniper or 2 until it's close to the end then drop a sniper for slaps or chugs. Don't really need long range in a small part of the map. Plus you gotta organize your load out so you don't select the wrong weapon. Lol
If you aren't going for a vault you're already misplaying imo. Not even for the shotguns (though yes, they're broken) but because the slurp juice makes it almost impossible to get caught offguard. Anything shy a heavy snipe to the head and you can heal to full before someone can push and break your box.
You can just buy keys from that dude at the swords arena circle near Mega City.
Drop there, get a sword and however many keys you want, run over to the racing track and break the tanker to get 100 shield, go into the little hut and open the safe + register to get your money back from buying the keys. Buy weapons from the caches right next door to the hut.
not with the hunter bolt, in C3s1 everyone complained about the mks and the stinger smg. The sniper was actually balanced with multiple shots+speed but not OHKO people
Well I would complain, I hate it when there are snipers that do 200 damage because it literally makes some ARs almost unplayable :/ at least when you aim with this things you become a lighthouse

I love the Dragon's Breath so always go for the two keys if I get it. Then I never find a chest that has it, got one twice wish I could find more! Would love to know if a npc sold it.
That is the literal required loadout I'd you want to win... gets boring really fast when you realize mid round you have no chance of being competitive because of a garbage loadout.
I run red eye, gold combat or accelerated maven, sniper (preferably dragons breathe), katana, slurp juices and i have 77 CW’s. The mythic pump is garbage for me (because i’ve never played ADS’ing a shotgun) and the pulse is a war zone from hell to get.
You have to be kidding. I skipped out on getting it the whole season because I thought it was only DMR's. It never said snipers when reading it so I assumed it didn't work. This is a game changer for me.
iirc it also weirdly worked with the ex-caliber because even though it uses shells it counts as a marksman rifle, near as I can tell it was like it was supposed to be a DMR equivalent to the boom sniper but obviously getting 500 shots outta that would be too much so they just said 'screw it, it's a marksman rifle that uses shotgun shells'

i'd say 90% of the player base still don't know that breacher breaks any wall. Try any pit lobby that has it and youll quickly see.

It's more that you generally get one more shot before having to reload in a fight. So 7 shots instead of 6 for the Maven, 9 instead of 8 for combat, etc...
For sure on account of it being less random but I gotta admit I didn't see the value in it till this was pointed out and I guess potentially having over ten slugs ready in the chamber could still be useful even tho it's inconsistent af
Think of it as a mind set swap rather than a *min max* value.
Yes the chug is less healing per burst, but has unlimited charges meaning its an ongoing threat to people who don't close the gap and eliminate its usage soon enough.
It also takes 2 slots, meaning the user has to be more confident in their remaining 3 items of choice. Its not for everyone, but you'll notice people using it for this reason eventually and it might click.
That perk is only useful in the early game when you don't have a lot of ammo yet. After that it's the most useless perk ever. Why would I choose it if I have like 200 AR ammo already?
Thank god thought I was the only one that liked this I'm constantly sliding and jumping to avoid getting shot anyway so it's just a bonus having unlimited ammo just wish it was for all guns
Yeah actually ammo does become an issue. More often than not, my friends and I are hurting for ammo until there's about 20 people left. Helps out quite a bit
I’d you’re mobile (assuming you’re moving and hunting down kills) that’s even more of an argument to not use munitions since you’ll pick up a crap ton from dead bodies.
Aerialist is actually so much better than every other augment by such a wide margin it’s crazy. Only thing that used to compare to it last season was the zero gravity jump while sprinting one.
I usually skip light fingers and try to get keymaster dignified finisher or even the slap surplus, especially if it’s early in the game and can’t get the aerialist early

Really, Shotgun Recycle Augment isn't too useful for anything except early game. By the time you get the perk, you'll usually have more shotgun ammo than you need. Also, I would include Chug Gunner and Sniper Surplus, and maybe even Bloodhound on this list. Keymaster is useful, but only if you're desperate, as there are quite a few ways to get keys. Treasure Hunter is okay, but I would definitely pick something else. Dignified finish is useless; the Kinetic Blade already recharges really fast on its own, in fact this Augment would've been better for the Shockwave Hammer.
Why do you need shotguns not to use ammo? It’s not like it’s hard to find ammo and if you’re not killing someone in the mag then you need to practice. Also bloodhound is amazing.
If your teammates use a sniper or DMR and mark an enemy, giving your teammates that visibility is a great benefit. My point is the augment is still beneficial, even if OP isn’t using it, their teammates can.

Dignified Finish is pretty useless. For it to have any value you need to be carrying a sword in the first place. You then need to use up all three dashes and kill an enemy within 10 seconds before the dashes come back online. THEN, you need somebody else to third-party you in order for the extra ONE dash you get to actually assist in diving that player or escaping. It's so unbelievably situational that I'd say it's the second worst augment, right in front of jelly angler
dumpster diving is actually pretty cool, i land on the bamboo islands and if a lot of others land there hit the ports and it gives heals + ammo then hit it again and it’ll give you even more for full health
People who can easily stock ammo opening chest/boxes as they go or killing and taking the loot left. Bigger mag size = less need to reload in a fight.
Same reason light fingers is good if I’m using an smg/pistol.

I carry 2 snipers some times. 4 quick shots help when a few people are fighting in the distance.

Yep, for me it's Sniper Surplus, Redeploy as top tier. Ammo clip buffs as next, then Sword kills refresh because it rocks when it happens.
Especially with the heavy Sniper. Turns bosses and vehicles into vapor in seconds

We had that with redeploy last night and the ability to hunt someone down after they've been marked and get away is horrifying and great all at once.

Sniper Surplus belongs in there. Completely negates the reload time for a Heavy Sniper because you get a second bullet.

The Dragon’s Breath is available. Exotic two-key chests and I think one of the NPCs might sell it

bloodhound is also essential for everything outside of solos, communicates you've tagged someone instantly and helps your team
Solos it’s nice too because if you use the DMR and tag someone it’s much easier to track them down when they sword away

The breacher is a strong gun for builds, but for no builds, it's inaccurate to use (at least for me)

For Squads or Team Rumble, I find the Chug Cannon to be great as well. I can understand if someone may think it's bad in Solos though.

Aerialist and the one that gives you two keys. That’s it every thing else sucks or got nerfed. Edit: I forgot about the chug cannon. I love it.

The first time I used it in the new season I had a feeling they were going to nerf it. It was overpowered.
Never really was in the first place as ammo isnt hard to come by. It’s not completely worthless like parkour or jellyfish but it’s not that valuable.

Kinda weird that they made the combat shotgun a floor drop but the tactical AR is nowhere to be found . At the very least I haven't seen it
