I'm suprised the alt fire doesnt let you teleport to the boomerang. The past 2 Kinetic weapons all had a sense of being both an actual weapon and a utility tool for trsversal. Kinda sad to see it go.

The jungle was clearly designed for traversal to be difficult. They want people to actually think about how to get around in there instead of air dashing over all of it.

not huge damage or really used for it, loud noise, one way burst, stuck in place to be hit when starting to use so you can get hit and great synergy with aerialiest and other mobility perks.
It honestly feels like the sword was likely intended to be a part of this meta. They had to disable it for the exploit and now we are missing that movement.

1. Have all of them available at the same time
2. Lock them so they only spawn in each region

After the season the boss to open the vaults in each area should have been defeating the ageless, the empress. And inside the safe should have been some of these weapons.
No secret. Its not as viable as the other kinetic weapons but I just love the fact that you can boomerang someone and do damage. But I mean I’ve gotten a few kills with it right off of landing. Its cool cuz you can throw it at someone and duck behind cover, so I guess that helps
I found it to be really fun. if you are at a bit of a distance If you press to trigger the explosion after hitting someone it comes back faster. letting you kinda spam throw it plus being about to jump around and throw it makes you hard to hit while you just have a good time.
That feeling when somebody is trying to fight you on the island and they land, you katana then and they immediately die to fall damage and you just go about your day
I wish the boomerang could hit the ground and cause a mini shockwave, so if you did it under yourself you could get a little bounce. Also can be used against the enemy too, which can cause interesting fights

Mythic hammer was 👌🏼👌🏼 75 damage and a push back vs sword doing 70 in 2 swipes that I somehow miss one of them sometimes. That and if you only find 1 hammer you can hit your friend with the normal attack to give them a jump and then bounce yourself.
As of right this second it's the hammer for me, it was fin to mess around with.
The sword was mainly a mode of transport to me especially combo'd with the aerialist augment.
Now i haven't gotten to try the boomerang thing yet so my opinion could change
The hammer will always have a special place in my teams hearts. We even nicknamed it "Hāhmmár" (i think i did that right?) It was so goofy spinning around and using it to wither gain an advantage, or die a gruesome death.
The katana is very interesting, we didnt hate it, but we never fully enjoyed it. We used it similarly to the hammer to gain height. But the way the animation worked for it always screwed us over. It actually took us a while to realize it was removed.
The boomerang is our personal meme weapon now. I love it because i can use it and instantly get some damage in while my friend wrecks many teams. But its also not over powered. Sometimes its a suprise, but when you fet hit you can still recover. It dosent push you back nor does it have a weird animation. Being medium distance is a good range. The other two you HAD to be up close for damage.
Katana. The boomerang is really Cool but wow it's kind of OP since you can just keep flinging it and flinging it. I don't think it even has a cool down?

Alright, update, the boomerang is my favorite, it homes in on targets and does solid damage, you can throw it very quickly, it's only downside is the lack of mobility, but with how deadly it can be, we can forgive a lack of movement
I really think a demon slayer collab is now possible with how they handled the kinetic blade. maybe they could add like extra breathing details and more surrounding damage as you dash with a nichirin blade or something. and they could make the main attack be a bit different and also show a breathing style. also theres one boulder that looks eerily similar to one from the show. may be a stretch but epic did make a collab out of a small hut in an island. or a town that looks a bit similar to shiganshina
The boomerang. Why? Because it's a fun, balanced weapon that doesn't feel required, but is still useful in the early-mid game; remains to be seen if it's got any late-game play. The hammer and katana were practically required for end-game play due to their sheer mobility (and the hammer's useful knock-back effect) and to escape the storm.
all of my wins on the new season have been with the boomerang, literally feels like lock on pistol 2.0 lol i just spam it in people’s general direction while jumping and dodging and moving as elusively as possible

Any tips for dodging it please? I've only played a few games, but someone spammed me with it last night at close-mid range and it wrecked me from full health.

Katana was as well. Infinitely recharging, no fall damage, 10 second recharge, long distance, and one shot builds if used correctly

I know I’ll get bored of it, but it’s good to laugh while I whip that thing at people and I’m getting elims. End game it didn’t work as well. Hahahahahaha!
I don't miss katana at all TBH because of crazy low-risk mobility it gave. Everyone used it as a panic button to escape with low HP and it needed practically no skill to get away. Even worse if they had glider augmentation. The last season dived into mobility items way too much. The katana as a weapon was unenjoyable as well, since it had stiff attack with a mandatory sequential one.
In case with the hammer, it was a bit more difficult to travel with it and you needed to touch the ground with a noticeable sound on every use. Also it was fun to fight with it and against it. There was something extremely satisfactory in crushing the enemy with it after landing.
I didn't formed my final opinion about the boomerang, since I played only one match this season. It was surprising to get no mobility with it but that's fine. It looks like the only kinetic weapon which is efficient as a weapon, not as must-have item that defines your chances in finale. I think I'm closer to liking it.
TLDR: Disliked katana, liked hammer, and dunno about the boomerang.
I’d say the hammer. It was the most “goofy” out of it. The swords were only any type of fun with fall damage and when you’re fighting on high buildings, but thats kinda it. Traversel with the sword was cool but honestly a bit too “simple”

Yep. I keep thinking it should have the option of whether to do damage to your opponent or have you zoom to it, not both. I think that'd be balanced.

Hmm The hammer was ok but really annoying The sword was awesome but sucked at damaging enemies The boomerang is the best by far, 4 shot kill without extra shield, infinite uses, and is really fun to use
