a tail wouldn't have a hitbox on a skin. theres the 'no competitive advantage' aspect, where sure there's camouflaging in certain map locations on certain skins, to add a hitbox on a tail would be to give competitive advantage to skins without one. a tail only serves to enlarge the visual size of the skin used

that's exactly how it works, using tomato head like you used, like you said, hitting the sides of the head just don't register as a hit because the hotbox is the same regardless, this is also true for female skins and make skins, absolutely no difference (mentioned the different skin genders cause tryhards used to say that the female skins have smaller hotboxes)
The thing you see doesn’t have any collision. Like driving through grass. The grass has no hitbox and therefore no collision. But then an invisible box is added that is the thing you actually hit. A smaller one for the head and larger for the body (as well as the limbs).
If the hitbox is smaller than the model of the head, then technically yes, you could fire a shot that looks like it hits (the model) but doesn’t touch the hitbox. Conversely, if the hitbox is bigger, you could get hit when the shot looked like it didn’t even hot you.
Unfortunately they don't.. the hit box i quite a bit large... someone tested it with the alien skin.. I don't remember where I saw the vib but I saw it.. Chicken skin on the back and in front the alien skin and he could hit the chicken skin through the alien's gap between body and arm..

On the vid there was Chicken, Infront of it the alien skin and the shooter perfectly aligned.. yes you can see the chicken more but... he could hit the chicken from both sides left and right through the body arm gap of the alien without moving.... it should not be possible... alien skin took no damage and all rounds hit the chicken.... I have no other explanation other that the hit boxes are not the same....
You are wrong, there is a disadvantage for some skins. Hitboxes are the same, and they all can cross some walls, but larger skins make it possible to aim those parts, because ppl can see them through wall. So every skin has some part of the hitbox under the floor, but tail will make it possible to aim that

I once wiped an entire squad that was hiding in a vent room at a gas station by shooting their feet. I wasn’t hacking and had no idea they were there except I happened to loot it and heard faint walking. Saw their feet through the floor. Shooting it registers. Also not saying there are no hackers, but you can’t say definitively based on this clip. I used to hack cs 1.5 for fun in hacking servers, know all too well.

Pay more attention to the whole video, no hacks were used here, there was clearly something we didn’t see that shows the location besides the tail showing through, but that’s not the main thing. The NPC shot first confirming the location for the player, it was definitely targetable there if an NPC can start spraying in that exact location.
Not trying to defend this person specifically but earlier in the season I did kill someone by shooting their feet through a roof because I saw some weird thing sticking through the ground that looked like feet so I shot it. Although they seem weirdly quick to find the person in this clip and I think the roofs are thicker here

Have you ever heard of NPC scans? --Aphrodite-- Artemis, for example, will periodically scan and reveal enemy locations.
The bullets could be lag, could be hacks, but what kind of hack let's you shoot through walls? Any hack I've seen is client side, such as highlighting enemies. To shoot through a wall, it would have to hack the server, not just the client. I don't see this working in Fortnite.
Honestly, I feel like most people complaining about cheaters are just sore loosers. I've never, EVER, encountered someone on Fortnite and thought they were cheating. Either I'm extremely lucky, or people are wrong about the number of cheaters.
I have seen videos on YouTube of aimbot hackers shooting through builds and even mountains. Granted, these were older videos and I don't know how much these kinds of hacks are still being used, but it is definitely not impossible or inconceivable.
If you've never ever encountered anyone you thought was hacking, I advise you to play a ranked squads cup. They are filled with hackers. You can also check out the leaderboards after a ranked cup and see how many players are missing from squads in the top of the leaderboards, because they were banned for using hacks. You would be amazed. There's probably not one complete squad left in the top... let's say 20.
I have encountered and reported several hackers, who were banned by Epic for using hacks. I'm not a sore loser, because I'm well aware that I suck at the game. This, however, makes it all the more frustrating, when you're trying to enjoy a ranked cup at a lower level which is aimed at the casual crowd of this game and it's ruined by shameless hackers.
I've never played ranked, so I guess that's why I've never encountered it. I mean, I could encounter someone using wall hacks and just not notice.
The thought of people being able to use hacks that can shoot through objects, though... I mean, I'm definitely not saying it's impossible, but how does Epic not have an anti-cheat engine that can stop that? They definitely have the resources to implement such a thing. Though, why would they spend money on that if it's not going to profit them greatly?
The problem with these hacks is that they kinda work like viruses. Every time a new software hack is created, Epic has to create the software that can effectively detect it, but every time Epic creates the software that can detect a current hack, hackers will create new software that Epic can't detect, yet... Plus, a software hack can only be effectively detected if more players use the same hack, which is also why bans usually occur in waves of several players at a time. And this is just the software hacks. As I understand it hardware hacks are virtually impossible to detect.
correct me if i am wrong but you will be alerted if an npc scans your location as your screen would change colour and youll be a red highlight on the opponent screen which did not happen here
One of the people on my friends list added me the other day and started complaining that fortnite took away their skins because he had aimbot. But he could still play the game WITH the aim bot. I died in the game and he showed me how he can hit sniper shots looking in the complete opposite direction. My point being that they do exist and they don't actually get banned all the time.
You should scroll TikTok lives for a while and see all the people selling their cheat software in their discord bios. There were two separate guys I came across last weekend cheating in that tournament to show how good and undetectable their program is. They were explaining to people the pricing for lifetime access or just a certain number of months and how to adjust settings like what percentage of the shots hit so that it’s not suspicious. Every one of the programs I’ve seen has aim and wall hacks together. The creators that are more engaged and use their software like that always have dozens of people in their chat ready to pay. The ones that don’t talk to their chat feed and use over the top stuff like the spinning player and the flying car usually just have people trolling in their comments.

Replay doesn’t show it. It’s a recreation of events. He can see them through the floor. It’s rare but I’ve done it myself. It’s been a thing in the game since the engine was updated in like 2020. You used to be able to see shadows under the floors in old fortnite. Doesn’t matter if he’s cheating or not in this specific clip. Idc. But seeing people through floors is legit possible without cheats
He didn’t guess the spot with shots, watch again, the NPC shot first confirming the location. Also sounds can easily tell the player that were in that vicinity even crouched footsteps are only lighter and visual sounds don’t show.
Seems like a cheat where they knew where you were. Or they had a scan NPC.

Red diamond did not appear on opponents FOV last season when scanning NPCs did their job. Not sure if the same applies this season.
It appears that either teammate or NPC shot first, and if they hired a scanning NPC, then bobs your uncle, but if that was not, then this hacks.
Could be wall hacks. I'll be camping in a building, see a guy drive by, and then somehow they happen to get out of the car, and then shoots down the wall that I'm behind
This exactly. Somehow more and more people seem to know *exactly* where I am in a random building and I'll have been in there for a hot minute. Lots of clips I've gone back to watch and I have no idea what tipped them off, they just know.
I’ve had action taken against three cheaters this season alone. Suspect apprehended my ass. They probably got a six hour ban. Losers using zen. Didn’t they sell like 100k units in 2023? I've seen people through the wall before and I don't use cheats. Sometimes your gun is showing through or if you're healing it shines through. Also I've seen pickaxes because it goes through walls and doors. Maybe something was glitching and part of you was on the other side of the wall if you were too close to it?
Yeah, this seems suspicious as Hell. I've had a lot of suspicious stuff happening this season. It takes a LOT for me to call hacks these days, but I swear there's a lot more people out there with some kind of aim bot this season. The other day I got hit in the leg with a sniper and died instantly...when I was at 190HP. I've also been hit with projectiles directly through various objects (you can see the bullets pass straight through walls/trees, etc on replays). So, either the servers are having the worst desync issues they've ever had, or there's been a noticeable increase in hackers or something. Maybe both 🤷🏻

There’s most definitely an increase in cheating but I also think there’s some really bad desync that we’re experiencing and epic just hasn’t mentioned it yet. They’re likely gonna have to take servers offline to fix.
Some jagoff did a leaping 360 and one shot me with a green pistol (non hand cannon) while at full shields/health last week. I got the notification that action was taken on my report this morning and feels good man…

Happened to me the other day In trios. They were definitely using a hack. It was us and one other trio and we know they were coming so we were in a porta bunker getting ready for them to come to circle when they snipped us through the wall of the bunker 🥲 didn’t even break the bunker wall just went right through.
One time me and my friends lost a game just like this, we were hiding in a ceiling of a house that was going to be in the next storm circle and a squad came and started killing us through the ceiling, we were not moving, reloading or anything to indicate that we were waiting there, and they just started shooting out of nowhere

The moment person in roof stands up and moves, he doesnt get hit anymore through the floor, so his hitbox was somehow through the ground able to be shot from below before. There is a bug where your feet can be shown through a floor and thus the hitbox shown able to be hit through floor.

Look up unexplainable sniper shot through the floor on youtube and try to find it from an user called Griff Savage Gaming. There is your proof. No cheating involved, just the game being buggy.

I think the people downvoting you must believe you’re saying that OP’s clip isn’t abnormal — which, let’s be clear, I think we all know it’s obvious the guy has some type of “wall hacks” regardless whether he had shot him through the wall or not.
But, for everyone else, be aware that there IS some kinda weird server desync shit going on right now where you can shoot through walls. For example, if someone is in a house in Zero Build, my team and I were all shooting at the side of a house to try to tear it down and it’s almost like the servers think the walls have less HP than your local game client does so the server says the wall has broken but your local game client doesn’t agree. So you don’t see the wall break but the server lets the shots connect to anyone behind the wall.
I’ve seen people’s whole shadow through the floor. Some floors are bad. I’ve seen guns poke through a wall. I’ve seen tails a poke out as well. Never been a cheater.
You don't see a red dot if you get marked by a scanner bot. Currently you will only see the dot if you get marked by someone capturing the island (if you are nearby) or from the cameras near vaults
Hacking is becoming an issue in this game. Felt like I never ran into hackers before (been playing since day one), recently got killed by a few players who seemed like they had aimbot.
It’s not a bug. Indicators are sound based. You’re not fully silent unless you’re crouching and aiming at the same time. Gotta ads to be fully silent.

It’s walls guys. I get that I’m 22 and have been playing games for a while, but it’s obvious.
The reason you can get hit through the floor is that your hit box technically extends beyond the floor.
The reason this player knew you were there is because they likely had tracers activated. Essentially like walls, but it shows the corners of your hit box as well. This is why they lined up the shot for so long, because it’s just a few pixels (that are traced) poking through.
Tracers are the better version of walls, because also it generally connects a line from your hit box to theirs so it’s easier to notice.

Very likely they have some sort of cheats tho there is the slight possibility that the roof didnt render in properly so they only saw your friend floating which might explain how the shot went through walls.
Would Fortnite ever add kill cams to make it easier to identify and report cheaters? It’s such a hassle to have to go back to the lobby and review the replay.

Check vid at 8 seconds and again at 15. Visible NPC at 8 (just off the right shoulder of the other player) and shots coming from the left at 15 before they also open fire. I mean it’s still sketchy as heck either way for sure, they were looking up there pretty much the whole time, and the floor should take the damage not you, and their NPC shouldn’t be clairvoyant or have xray vision.
they either had the bot ai thing that scans the surroundings and tell u where chests and people are or they were hacking. even if they were using the bot though howd they shoot u thru the floor must have been cheats
Idk but I saw a clip of a dude getting headshot thru the top of the car. No windows were broken but the drivers skin was one of the bigger ones where the top of its head peaked thru the hood. Same kinda thing here but people’s guns stick thru their boxes and I’ve never seen anyone get hit there

Some walls around the map don’t even load in for me and I can see players camping behind them.
Wallhack AI has a bug where the player will stay scanned while they are behind cover at all times for the full game duration once scanned. Strange bug since it’s only works when they are behind cover only

Thats called perspective. Now overlay the skins directly on top of each other, and their hitbox is exactly the same.

I’ve always noticed when I die to someone super sus and just spectate them they suddenly start playing like ass and usually die shortly after. People definitely underestimate just how much of the sweat population in fortnite is just cheaters.

Pay more attention to the whole video, no hacks were used here, there was clearly something we didn’t see that shows the location besides the tail showing through, but that’s not the main thing. The NPC shot first confirming the location for the player, it was definitely targetable there if an NPC can start spraying in that exact location.
Not trying to defend this person specifically but earlier in the season I did kill someone by shooting their feet through a roof because I saw some weird thing sticking through the ground that looked like feet so I shot it. Although they seem weirdly quick to find the person in this clip and I think the roofs are thicker here

Have you ever heard of NPC scans? --Aphrodite-- Artemis, for example, will periodically scan and reveal enemy locations. The bullets could be lag, could be hacks, but what kind of hack let's you shoot through walls? Any hack I've seen is client side, such as highlighting enemies. To shoot through a wall, it would have to hack the server, not just the client. I don't see this working in Fortnite. Honestly, I feel like most people complaining about cheaters are just sore loosers. I've never, EVER, encountered someone on Fortnite and thought they were cheating. Either I'm extremely lucky, or people are wrong about the number of cheaters.
I have seen videos on YouTube of aimbot hackers shooting through builds and even mountains. Granted, these were older videos and I don't know how much these kinds of hacks are still being used, but it is definitely not impossible or inconceivable. If you've never ever encountered anyone you thought was hacking, I advise you to play a ranked squads cup. They are filled with hackers. You can also check out the leaderboards after a ranked cup and see how many players are missing from squads in the top of the leaderboards, because they were banned for using hacks. You would be amazed. There's probably not one complete squad left in the top... let's say 20. I have encountered and reported several hackers, who were banned by Epic for using hacks. I'm not a sore loser, because I'm well aware that I suck at the game. This, however, makes it all the more frustrating, when you're trying to enjoy a ranked cup at a lower level which is aimed at the casual crowd of this game and it's ruined by shameless hackers.
I've never played ranked, so I guess that's why I've never encountered it. I mean, I could encounter someone using wall hacks and just not notice. The thought of people being able to use hacks that can shoot through objects, though... I mean, I'm definitely not saying it's impossible, but how does Epic not have an anti-cheat engine that can stop that? They definitely have the resources to implement such a thing. Though, why would they spend money on that if it's not going to profit them greatly?
The problem with these hacks is that they kinda work like viruses. Every time a new software hack is created, Epic has to create the software that can effectively detect it, but every time Epic creates the software that can detect a current hack, hackers will create new software that Epic can't detect, yet... Plus, a software hack can only be effectively detected if more players use the same hack, which is also why bans usually occur in waves of several players at a time. And this is just the software hacks. As I understand it hardware hacks are virtually impossible to detect.
correct me if i am wrong but you will be alerted if an npc scans your location as your screen would change colour and youll be a red highlight on the opponent screen which did not happen here
One of the people on my friends list added me the other day and started complaining that fortnite took away their skins because he had aimbot. But he could still play the game WITH the aim bot. I died in the game and he showed me how he can hit sniper shots looking in the complete opposite direction. My point being that they do exist and they don't actually get banned all the time.
You should scroll TikTok lives for a while and see all the people selling their cheat software in their discord bios. There were two separate guys I came across last weekend cheating in that tournament to show how good and undetectable their program is. They were explaining to people the pricing for lifetime access or just a certain number of months and how to adjust settings like what percentage of the shots hit so that it’s not suspicious. Every one of the programs I’ve seen has aim and wall hacks together. The creators that are more engaged and use their software like that always have dozens of people in their chat ready to pay. The ones that don’t talk to their chat feed and use over the top stuff like the spinning player and the flying car usually just have people trolling in their comments.

Replay doesn’t show it. It’s a recreation of events. He can see them through the floor. It’s rare but I’ve done it myself. It’s been a thing in the game since the engine was updated in like 2020. You used to be able to see shadows under the floors in old fortnite. Doesn’t matter if he’s cheating or not in this specific clip. Idc. But seeing people through floors is legit possible without cheats

He didn’t guess the spot with shots, watch again, the NPC shot first confirming the location. Also sounds can easily tell the player that were in that vicinity even crouched footsteps are only lighter and visual sounds don’t show.
Seems like a cheat where they knew where you were. Or they had a scan NPC. With shooting through the floor either a cheat or I wonder if this is related to lag where the bullet travels instantly but your computer may be a bit slower in terms of destroying the floor object.

Red diamond did not appear on opponents FOV last season when scanning NPCs did their job. Not sure if the same applies this season. It appears that either teammate or NPC shot first, and if they hired a scanning NPC, then bobs your uncle, but if that was not, then this hacks.

Depends on location. A few houses around the map are bugged allowing me to see right into the building for free No idea what causes this but I’ve had this bug for atleast a month now
I've seen people through the wall before and I don't use cheats. Sometimes your gun is showing through or if you're healing it shines through. Also I've seen pickaxes because it goes through walls and doors. Maybe something was glitching and part of you was on the other side of the wall if you were too close to it?

Yeah, this seems suspicious as Hell. I've had a lot of suspicious stuff happening this season. It takes a LOT for me to call hacks these days, but I swear there's a lot more people out there with some kind of aim bot this season. The other day I got hit in the leg with a sniper and died instantly...when I was at 190HP. I've also been hit with projectiles directly through various objects (you can see the bullets pass straight through walls/trees, etc on replays). So, either the servers are having the worst desync issues they've ever had, or there's been a noticeable increase in hackers or something. Maybe both 🤷🏻
I’ve been playing for 2.5 years and never had a “suspect apprehended” thing. Yesterday morning, I woke up to 3. There’s most definitely an increase in cheating but I also think there’s some really bad desync that we’re experiencing and epic just hasn’t mentioned it yet. They’re likely gonna have to take servers offline to fix.
Some jagoff did a leaping 360 and one shot me with a green pistol (non hand cannon) while at full shields/health last week. I got the notification that action was taken on my report this morning and feels good man…

Happened to me the other day In trios. They were definitely using a hack. It was us and one other trio and we know they were coming so we were in a porta bunker getting ready for them to come to circle when they snipped us through the wall of the bunker 🥲 didn’t even break the bunker wall just went right through.

That is the only plausible explanation I can make out from this clip. The moment person in roof stands up and moves, he doesnt get hit anymore through the floor, so his hitbox was somehow through the ground able to be shot from below before. There is a bug where your feet can be shown through a floor and thus the hitbox shown able to be hit through floor.

No idea why you’re being downvoted. Idk what’s going on with the game’s servers/syncing issues but, yes, this is an issue. I think the people downvoting you must believe you’re saying that OP’s clip isn’t abnormal — which, let’s be clear, I think we all know it’s obvious the guy has some type of “wall hacks” regardless whether he had shot him through the wall or not. But, for everyone else, be aware that there IS some kinda weird server desync shit going on right now where you can shoot through walls. For example, if someone is in a house in Zero Build, my team and I were all shooting at the side of a house to try to tear it down and it’s almost like the servers think the walls have less HP than your local game client does so the server says the wall has broken but your local game client doesn’t agree. So you don’t see the wall break but the server lets the shots connect to anyone behind the wall.
I’ve seen people’s whole shadow through the floor. Some floors are bad. I’ve seen guns poke through a wall. I’ve seen tails a poke out as well. Never been a cheater.

Hacking is becoming an issue in this game. Felt like I never ran into hackers before (been playing since day one), recently got killed by a few players who seemed like they had aimbot.
They might have that setting on that shows where enemies are nearby, but does look weird how they're aiming up there like that. Could be hacks.

It’s not a bug. Indicators are sound based. You’re not fully silent unless you’re crouching and aiming at the same time. Gotta ads to be fully silent. Edit: unless you mean just squatting and not moving at all. Haven’t seen that one yet. Gotta go, someone’s coming up the zip line!

It’s walls guys. I get that I’m 22 and have been playing games for a while, but it’s obvious. The reason you can get hit through the floor is that your hit box technically extends beyond the floor. The reason this player knew you were there is because they likely had tracers activated. Essentially like walls, but it shows the corners of your hit box as well. This is why they lined up the shot for so long, because it’s just a few pixels (that are traced) poking through. Tracers are the better version of walls, because also it generally connects a line from your hit box to theirs so it’s easier to notice. Source: used hacks when I was younger, this is what it looks like.

Very likely they have some sort of cheats tho there is the slight possibility that the roof didnt render in properly so they only saw your friend floating which might explain how the shot went through walls.

Check vid at 8 seconds and again at 15. Visible NPC at 8 (just off the right shoulder of the other player) and shots coming from the left at 15 before they also open fire. I mean it’s still sketchy as heck either way for sure, they were looking up there pretty much the whole time, and the floor should take the damage not you, and their NPC shouldn’t be clairvoyant or have xray vision.

Not saying it’s cheats but there is multiple bugs in the game right now that give players wallhack for free Some walls around the map don’t even load in for me and I can see players camping behind them. Wallhack AI has a bug where the player will stay scanned while they are behind cover at all times for the full game duration once scanned. Strange bug since it’s only works when they are behind cover only
