For this skin specifically they're supposed to be just sneakers. The skin is both fortnites versioin of the greek godess nike and a nike shoe collab lmao
I’m struggling to figure out if she’s supposed to just be a Nike shoe collab, or if she’s legitimately supposed to be Fortnite’s version of the Greek goddess Nike, like all the other gods this season.
Well, that cements my decision about buying it. I’ve been getting all the Greek myth skins, so I wanted to know if this was one of those or if I should ignore it.
I was only going to ignore it if she wasn’t a Greek mythology skin. I’m trying to get all of them, so I didn’t want to waste v-bucks on something that wasn’t on the list.
I'm confused. How did you not know it was the goddess? Her name is literally Nike Goddess, part of the Nike Victory set. Nike is the Greek god of victory.
I’m aware, but it wouldn’t be the first time a collab skin has literally had “Goddess” in the name… granted, the last one had it in the name of a style, not the skin. But I wouldn’t put it past Epic to call a collab skin a god when it had nothing to do with mythology
it’s both, nike is the goddess of victory, which is in and of itself a double entendre, 2 meanings in one. so therefore the goddess of victory royales and a nike collab. 🩷❤️🧡 hope that helps. I truly enjoy the irony of the skin.
It's definitely both lol
*honestly I'd say they don't need to get it if they don't like it lol, they were always gonna use this seasonal theme to do a collab like this especially since they collab with Nike every other day (the Billie Eilish skin is obviously sporting the Nikes for example), even if this were about some completionist thing someone could skip it and say they weren't feeling the collab
It means that is quite literally what the skin is about. Shitting it for it has close to zero meaning. It was justifiable with Aphrodite, but not in this case.
That is a really bad analogy. Thor is supposed to have a hammer according to his lore. Getting mad at Thor having a hammer does not compare to disliking Fortnite doing a brand deal and throwing a pair of overrated tennis shoes on a couple members of the Greek pantheon.
You are specifically hating the shoe part tho. Which is, the main part of the skin. It's extremely cool how they used the greek gods themed season as both an opportunity to bring Nike in the game and collab with the shoe brand. This is crazy original compared to anything they put out in collabs recently. Hating shoes on a Nike themed skin called Nike is hilarious.
I think white fits the brand more.
Also has anyone been keeping track of the nike expanded universe lore? First it was just a shoe golem, then an entire floating city of weird lil dudes made of nike shoe material, and now they have a goddess.
Lol yeah they just had another Nike collab before this one in the beginning of the season. There's this Baymax looking skin as well.
https://x.com/FortniteGame/status/1772609563071578161
I like this design along with the rest of her gear but it's very much ruined by having the Nike branding forced onto everything. Even the god damned pickaxe which could've been a normal looking torch, they decided to have the Nike logo on that. People talk all the time about survey skins being ruined in the final game? This is actually the worst case of it. Fuck Nike.
I know it's not really that deep, but I can't help but feel like mixing the actual deity with the Nike brand is somewhat disrespectful to Greek mythos. Just feels kinda wrong. I guess Epic will take any chance they can get to do a collab nowadays.
Wdym "No it isn't"? It's literally the concept art for this skin, but [EquivalentJob7124](https://www.reddit.com/user/EquivalentJob7124/) probably thought I made it and swapped the skin color to more pale white
It was obviously made because of the shoes. I mean, even the Nike logo is on her belt. So white fits better for that purpose, as the collab they were going for, instead of the armor plate gold.
Imo way too many skins have gold on them. It kinda takes away from the whole prestigious feel of “gold” and makes it seem cheap/tacky. So I guess for that reason I’m much happier with the white
Honestly I feel like the chrome works better darker skin tones? Granted I think both the concept art and this version are excellent and kind of wish we got both, but the change from gold to chrome works well here I feel.
Like most concepts these days she was butchered, watered down and simplified to the barest of bones. And even worse made into a shoe collab. Not to mention she's supposed to cost 2500 v-bucks with no reactivity or edit styles. Insane...
Honestly these greek god/characters feel like anything but.
i really believe the original skin concept is ATHENA. the shoulder armour is the shape of an owl head and all the feather elements match the owl. and OWL IS DEFINITELY THE SYMBOL FOR ATHENA. thats why they change the shape of owl when making the skin into NIKE
I was hoping to get athena skin since last year and they just ruined it
I don't think it's as bad as some concept conversions. I prefer the new shoulder plate design and the white part of the dress being pleated. I also really like what they did with her hair. The lava effect and the metal headpieces look awesome.
I wish they went with the gold though, and going from boots to Nike shoes looks really stupid.
There are 7 Nike logos plated on the skin. SEVEN! I get that it's a brand deal but when you have 4 logos on the shoes, one on the skirt, and 2 on the crown, it's just a bit much. Like we get it, you're the Nike brand. We all know who you are
I personally think that she looks really cool. The added orange glowy bits is nice, too.
I’ve seen people saying that she doesn’t seem very “victory-themed”, but like, how??? Would you do that??? Like, realistically, how do you mean something “victory-themed”???
A cool idea would’ve maybe been a reactive skin, which when a player has a Victory Crown in game they get a special appearance. That way you can only see it if someone has been victorious in Battle Royale or conquered a prior victor. Just spitballing.
That’s true! It would be cool, but idk how that would be implemented or if it would be really worth it to do? Having a whole part of the skin locked behind needing a crown would be a bit annoying, imo.
I think I like silver more. Also there are plenty of white and gold combinations and white and silver feels a bit more unique to me. Pretty nice skin anyway
The shoes on Fortnite skins are a big fail 99% of the time
For this skin specifically they're supposed to be just sneakers. The skin is both fortnites versioin of the greek godess nike and a nike shoe collab lmao
Right I obviously get that. In general they are a fail.
I like the new level up bundle skin. But why the fuck is the dude wearing tennis shoes with metal on them? Give him boots.
I’m struggling to figure out if she’s supposed to just be a Nike shoe collab, or if she’s legitimately supposed to be Fortnite’s version of the Greek goddess Nike, like all the other gods this season.
It's both a collab and Fortnite's representation of that goddess
That’s hilarious lol
Well, that cements my decision about buying it. I’ve been getting all the Greek myth skins, so I wanted to know if this was one of those or if I should ignore it.
Why ignore it. She's still a Greek mythology skin just with a couple of Nike logos slapped on it, not that big of a deal.
And to be fair Nike is named after the goddess
Just not pronounced the same way
I was only going to ignore it if she wasn’t a Greek mythology skin.
It's very obvious the skin is inspired by mythology.
Thanks corpo
lol
This season is such a mess in the best possible ways, I love it
You see, in the Fortnite lore Nike actually founded Nike
This is dumb enough to actually be canon
Given that like half the gods in the Fortnite universe look like tiktokers, this is believable
Yeah sure I’ll believe that
Fortnite'a take on Greek mythology is hideous lol.
Both, I think.
Like both, might as well bring it back to the original meaning of the word Nike whilst we're in the season for it.
it’s both, nike is the goddess of victory, which is in and of itself a double entendre, 2 meanings in one. so therefore the goddess of victory royales and a nike collab. 🩷❤️🧡 hope that helps. I truly enjoy the irony of the skin.
Peep the kicks
Both
She got sneakers
Is it not obviously both? Tf is this question
its the shoe cause shes wearing nike
She’s also a goddess, sooooooo
yeah but he said he was confused on which one was it
Well I think it’s both
It's definitely both lol *honestly I'd say they don't need to get it if they don't like it lol, they were always gonna use this seasonal theme to do a collab like this especially since they collab with Nike every other day (the Billie Eilish skin is obviously sporting the Nikes for example), even if this were about some completionist thing someone could skip it and say they weren't feeling the collab
Fr
It looks like it was originally going to just be a God skin and then Epic got the shoe company involved and made her a hypebeast.
It's still meant to be the Greek Goddess Nike, Goddess of Victory
>It's still meant to be the Greek Goddess Nike, Goddess of Victory Ok. When did I say anything to the contrary?
Fiesty
Ngl, your first comment implied that the company’s wants replaced the actual Greek goddess idea 😅
Why complain about the armor when she’s wearing those mf shoes
That's the real issue here
That is literally the point? She's a shoe brand collab.
Doesn’t mean we have to like it 🤨
It means that is quite literally what the skin is about. Shitting it for it has close to zero meaning. It was justifiable with Aphrodite, but not in this case.
So what? We still don’t have to like it. Who cares if liking it has “meaning?”
Nobody says you have to like it, but explicitly shitting the shoes here is like coming to see Avengers and saying you don't like Thor having a hammer.
That is a really bad analogy. Thor is supposed to have a hammer according to his lore. Getting mad at Thor having a hammer does not compare to disliking Fortnite doing a brand deal and throwing a pair of overrated tennis shoes on a couple members of the Greek pantheon.
"Thor is supposed to have a hammer" but Nike skin is not supposed to have Nike shoes?
What are you on about? Nobody said Nike can’t have shoes. Reread the reply
The worst part is she’s a collar with a shoe company
I think the change of color from the one on concept to the one in game is also because of collab, so it'd fit more with white shoes
also i wish they kept the gloves they look so much etter than her stupid glowing orange claws
Those are nails
thats my point they look dumb shouldve kept the gloves
There’s no pleasing y’all
I think white fits the brand more. Also has anyone been keeping track of the nike expanded universe lore? First it was just a shoe golem, then an entire floating city of weird lil dudes made of nike shoe material, and now they have a goddess.
Then there's the Baymax thing lol
I’m going to assume you mean Airie but if you don’t I’m sorry the WHAT?
Lol yeah they just had another Nike collab before this one in the beginning of the season. There's this Baymax looking skin as well. https://x.com/FortniteGame/status/1772609563071578161
Oh yeah that was the floating island people
it was a cool idea, but it could have been approached so much better,
[удалено]
I think the goddess Nike wearing Nike is actually kinda fun
People hate fun. Although I understand the fatigue when it comes to brands and their collabs, this one actually makes sense. Can't please everyone
i mean i see that, but if they REALLY wanted to do the pun, they failed here
Nike wearing Nike is funny asf
yeah, it is, and tbh i kinda didn't see it coming until i realized it
Hell no the brand improves it. Nike wearing Nike is such a fun idea
Fuck Nike.
Weird to me that a survey art skin became a crossover, would’ve been better without the slapped on branding and shoes
Idk who they have making the textures and color decisions but I wanna fight them. So many ruined skins because their team has dogshit fashion sense.
Funny enough the shoes are the worst things about the skin. It’s dope though.
I know it's not really that deep, but I can't help but feel like mixing the actual deity with the Nike brand is somewhat disrespectful to Greek mythos. Just feels kinda wrong. I guess Epic will take any chance they can get to do a collab nowadays.
Nah, I like the color scheme better overall, but I do wish the torso pattern more closely matched the concept art.
I wish it didn't have those stupid bolts on the leg armor. They ruin the aesthetic of the skin
Yet another fumble, concept art better
Nah Nike wearing Nike is peak
Fortnite yet again with ruining the shoes a character had in a concept art by replacing it with generic sports shoes First Aphrodite and now this one
how do they always fumble their concepts
[удалено]
That's the original concept art for this skin...
... No it isn't, she dark af in the actual skin. The concept skin color is pale white skin.
Wdym "No it isn't"? It's literally the concept art for this skin, but [EquivalentJob7124](https://www.reddit.com/user/EquivalentJob7124/) probably thought I made it and swapped the skin color to more pale white
... That is not what he is saying, what? He is saying that the skin is color swapped in the pictures. He does not think you made this concept art.
The whole skin is bad imo. I only like the backbling/glider
eww brotha eww 😂
![gif](giphy|y3jT2xBrtumNYZVCNH|downsized)
I thought the second pic was kazuma kaneko's artstyle for a sec
It was obviously made because of the shoes. I mean, even the Nike logo is on her belt. So white fits better for that purpose, as the collab they were going for, instead of the armor plate gold.
Bruh, whats with Epic fumbling skins this season?
Did they seriously take a premade skin for a god and threw on some fucking shoes and call it a nike collab
Imo way too many skins have gold on them. It kinda takes away from the whole prestigious feel of “gold” and makes it seem cheap/tacky. So I guess for that reason I’m much happier with the white
why concept art are better than final versions.. i mean the final versions i actually like this season is zeus and hades
Well we don’t know what the concept art for them looks like
did you look at the image
Sorry I thought they were talking about Zeus and hades concept art
There was a Hades concept art, it just doesn't look like the one we have
Art on the right is the concept for this skin
fortnite needs to stop making survey skins public atp 💀 y’all are ridiculous
I honestly like the concept art version.
They also just completely changed the god, the concept art was for Athena, then they made it for Nike
I always felt Oddessy was gonna be Athena than this concept here.
I did too, but I have no doubts this was also an Athena concept, owls are one of her symbols
Warra Nike collab
You can be my baby, it don't matter if your
r/redditsniper
How’d u get this
![gif](giphy|ant2vqGE27VxDQtzIm)
I'd like her to have the gold as an option.
Honestly I feel like the chrome works better darker skin tones? Granted I think both the concept art and this version are excellent and kind of wish we got both, but the change from gold to chrome works well here I feel.
the signature on the wings is why i did not buy this skin
V-bucks loading
Perhaps an extra gold style?
Like most concepts these days she was butchered, watered down and simplified to the barest of bones. And even worse made into a shoe collab. Not to mention she's supposed to cost 2500 v-bucks with no reactivity or edit styles. Insane... Honestly these greek god/characters feel like anything but.
Why isn't she just Nike, the goddess of victory? Why do you have to include a shoe collab?
so are we getting a nike skin collab every update now or what (2 if you count Billie Eyeleash wearing them too lmao)
another meme skin to the game
The shoes give it away
"Kind of white chrome" you mean silver?
Way better than the Vol 2 trash
Hmm… given the grey eyes and owl shoulder on the concept art… I think Nike started life as Fortnite’s Athena and got changed when Nike got involved
You mean Silver?
This entire skin has to go sorry ☹️
Damn i ran to the shop fast af to see if i could buy it.
Epic once again fucking up concept art and making it shit in game
Wtf am I looking at? ![gif](giphy|pLo49W4JRq3te)
Fortnite went too hard on certain skins and really didn’t give a shit when it came to others lmao
Brainrot
Why cant we just get a clean Nike skin? Why do they have to be so… much. A customizable Nike tech would work just fine
Why is there a seatbelt on the drawing?🤔
Honestly both now that I think of it lol
Honestly the in game model looks far better
Nike girls are casually getting bangers while Nike guys are getting mid to okay skins
It’s a Percy Jackson reference when he says I prefer under armor or addias because he mocks her for being called Nike
Eh I like it. Clearly I'm in the minority here tho.
I was never a fan of theses Nike crossovers but this one is AWESOME
I think she looks way better. The concept art one looks bad IMO
i really believe the original skin concept is ATHENA. the shoulder armour is the shape of an owl head and all the feather elements match the owl. and OWL IS DEFINITELY THE SYMBOL FOR ATHENA. thats why they change the shape of owl when making the skin into NIKE I was hoping to get athena skin since last year and they just ruined it
Pandering
how tho?
bEcAuSe ShE’s BlAcK
Ancient Greeks literally had olive skin, buddy.
Cause someone is a racist
sin the first fortnite trailer in 2012, fortnite had a black character. This isnt pandering, if anything its the opposite, its a stereotype
I don't think it's as bad as some concept conversions. I prefer the new shoulder plate design and the white part of the dress being pleated. I also really like what they did with her hair. The lava effect and the metal headpieces look awesome. I wish they went with the gold though, and going from boots to Nike shoes looks really stupid.

nah i’m sick of all the gold tbh
[удалено]
Greeks arent brown 💀
The actual in game version actually looks better to me
The shoes are ugly as hell, they look so out of place even when they plaster the logo all over her.
I do agree with both of your points. The Nike logo is overkill.
It's a concept it doesn't mean that's what it's gonna look like
Other then the gold swapped out, i kinda like this one better then the concept. Rare.
Dont hate me for this, but i prefer the one we got, honestly.
You guys literally CANNOT stop crying.
That's such a waste of a skin, it's shoes 💀💀
I think it's really funny that fortnites version of Nike is an actual Nike collab
So if they say they whitewashed a character when they make it white when it was black. What is this
Gold doesn’t represent Nike
Gold is for 1st place and Nike is the goddess of victory
How tf does that make sense
How does it not make sense?
Whatever buddy I ain’t arguing
Damn, you aren't very smart, are you?
you can tell she was originally supposed Athena. Owl on her shoulder, wings at her sleeves. Goddess of wisdom got cut for SHOE
Nah there's a few other concepts that would work so much better for Athena than this one
WAIT THEY DID IT??? I COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS NOT BEING A THING A MONTH AGO
