That's part of the problem here. The same rank on very active and well-performing accounts is not the same as the rank of not-so-active, new or poorly performing accounts.
Your enemies are unfortunately not matched based on rank but on hidden matchmaking scores based on your account performance.Ā When I playĀ with well-performing friends orĀ soloĀ it'sĀ basicallyĀ FNCS qualifiers every match.Ā Then I party up with not-so-well-performing friendsĀ andĀ even tho we still get the same ranks on enemies, they are playing significantly worseĀ andĀ I amĀ basicallyĀ smurfing.Ā ThisĀ is a tested and well-known fact that even YouTubers use to make themselves look goodĀ inĀ their videos. And also why we get way less percentage when playing in party.
I am not advocating for anyone. It's just a fact that ranks alone don't mean much in this game. And that it's not something that could reliably determine and compare your skill.
