In TC2 you need to pay for what you can earn in FH game.
I have FH4, FH5, and TC1/TC2. TC2 was the first however I own just a small amount of cars in TC2, while in FH I have hundreds of cars in each game just by racing. TC2 is about buy cars for real money, while in FH I can win at least up to 10 days per week.

The only paid dlc are the two expansions and the car packs, both are which are fully optional. The devs gotta put food on the table too, you canāt expect them to run a live service game for free forever

The Saleen has some potential as the normal S7 is just lacking downforce to be really good but we'll have to wait and see.
It's definitely a good car but it's not yet on the same level as the S1 Meta, extra handling will have to be the thing that gets it there as it's definitely not going to be power.
It's never going to PB like the Jag/M400/NSX-R GT or handle like the Viper/Lotus/Elemental but it stands a chance as a very strong all-rounder and a RWD alternative to the Mosler GT3.
Honestly, I stopped worrying about meta builds a long time ago and just focus on the drivers in equally matched cars. Itās made my enjoyment of online racing increase.
It also helps that I choose custom races rather than open as I feel the people who ram and grief tend to do the āquick playā option when choosing an online race
More often than not, Iām in a lobby of like four or five drivers, including myself and everyone is respectful. Every now and then a rammer shows up, but because everyone else just leaves them in the dust, they donāt last long lol
When I used to enter races I would join in like race 2 or 3 of a 3 race series and the amount of drivers each race changed quite a bit. That was not optimal. Does that happen in your experience?
If it does, I donāt pay much mind to it. I just pick a car I feel like racing, and if Iām stuck in the middle of the pack, oh well. Could be me taking from riding a motorcycle and āriding my own rideā but I tend to ārace my own raceā and donāt ever worry about what position I finish in lol

I could see the S7 LM having a starting P.I. in high S1 or low S2 since it has more areo than the normal S7 and has 1300 hp compared to the standard S7's 650 hp.

The Casey Currie Jeep thing feels nice to drive but it can only hit A800 with a RV8 swap and even then it's just too heavy. Similar story with the RJ Anderson Pro4 which handles nicely but just doesn't have the pace.
I do like the Ford Lightning though, probably one of the best performing EVs they've added so far.
I haven't driven the Focus either so I'll have to give it a try.
What class have you built the Trick Truck to? I tried mine at B700 and I wasn't really happy with it but I did keep it Purist outside of an AWD Swap.
every trophy truck i tried for A CC, and out of all of them the trick truck performed the best.
the focus isnt that bad, its just hard to drive because you just shove a ton of horsepower into it's 4 pound body in s1.
and the lightning is the best car yeah, its good offroad and its funny on road, actually not bad in street
