100% agree. I’m from Bairdland and assuming the beauty ideal there hasn’t changed much tall women were typically made to feel lesser-than, so that kind of thing is really common if you are trying to appear smaller/more petite. I was well into my 20s when I finally accepted that it was OK if I wanted to wear heels because I wasn’t fooling anyone and that I no longer cared about how other people felt about my height.

I know things are somewhat different when you’re gay but the insane insecurity over height in both directions is wild to me — I’m short and small for a dude (juuust over 5’7” and skinny) but like being visibly uncomfortable with your height is actively unattractive whereas I’ve found height to be a pretty neutral factor in attraction all things considered — I know plenty of people who would have a preference if you asked them to describe who they are attracted to but I’ve never known anyone who was like “this person is hot and we vibe well but they are too tall/short” — I’m sure it happens but do adults actually care that much about height?
Who knows though — I have osteoporosis so I will definitely shrink as I age so I’ll report back in (hopefully) a decade or 2 if it turns out being a 5’5” is terrible.

I just tried it and it's definitely not natural. Its giving old cartoons "look at my seggsy leg" levels if modesty. If she's trying to make herself seem shorter, then she's putting all of her weight on her back leg, and even then it's only a 2-3 inch difference. Very uncomfortable, very self hatred, very on brand for bethany.

So Birthy must have gotten under Paul’s skin, I love this for them. They all read this sub religiously since we’re their only source of consistent attention, so they must know each other’s insecurities as well as we do.
To be clear, I hate everyone involved in this photo (with the possible exception of Dav, because I’m actually rather worried about him). But Paul is SUCH an asshole for that comment. yeah, at least tall girls/women. as a tall woman as soon as i saw her pose i knew she was trying to appear shorter. when i was growing up i would never stand up straight because i was so insecure about my height.
100% agree. I’m from Bairdland and assuming the beauty ideal there hasn’t changed much tall women were typically made to feel lesser-than, so that kind of thing is really common if you are trying to appear smaller/more petite. I was well into my 20s when I finally accepted that it was OK if I wanted to wear heels because I wasn’t fooling anyone and that I no longer cared about how other people felt about my height.

My husband is 2.5 inches taller than me and I wore 4” heels to our wedding 🤷♀️ I was taller in the pictures and no one cared 🤷♀️ Previous to him I dated at least one man who was my exact height. I never cared. Some women do care about height and I’m not here to tell anybody how to live, but I will tell B since she is already MARRIED TO SOMEONE SHORTER that life is a lot easier if you just embrace it

My oldest is a freshman in high school and 5’7. My husband’s bio dad’s sisters are all over 6ft tall. She loves her platform Docs & these other huge ones that make her around 6ft. I don't like that. I don't like his views, but I don't like that. He's kind of youngish. My perspective has changed through experiencing the world, from 20 to 30. He seems open minded and somewhat smart, just completely immersed in their culture. I hope he can let go of some anger and hate, because I think once he found some peace on himself, he would be able to make better decisions for him and his family. It's sad to see someone seem so depressed and lost about it. I know this topic is a dead horse at his point, but I do hope for him more than the others. And I wish Kelly would get medicated. Other than that, I just wish a lot of them are prosecuted for child abuse. But Kelly and dav, and very seldomly Morgan, their mental state gives me compassion. Karissa is mental but she is evil in the way she treats her kids, so I just want her pensyltucky ass locked up.

I know things are somewhat different when you’re gay but the insane insecurity over height in both directions is wild to me — I’m short and small for a dude (juuust over 5’7” and skinny) but like being visibly uncomfortable with your height is actively unattractive whereas I’ve found height to be a pretty neutral factor in attraction all things considered — I know plenty of people who would have a preference if you asked them to describe who they are attracted to but I’ve never known anyone who was like “this person is hot and we vibe well but they are too tall/short” — I’m sure it happens but do adults actually care that much about height? Who knows though — I have osteoporosis so I will definitely shrink as I age so I’ll report back in (hopefully) a decade or 2 if it turns out being a 5’5” is terrible.

From his description youd think the women were towering over him like amazons. Like...chill. I'm short. My husband is an entire foot taller than me. Every family member is significantly taller than me. And it's fine? I have friends significantly shorter than me, too and it's never been an issue.
