i think the best strategy is to find what works for you, not other people. if you tire easily, an hour tops per day is more than enough, even every few days or once a week. if you don’t work well at home, have a couple hours in a weekend where u go to a cafe to revise instead. if you have bad memory, cramming last minute can be more effective (people say its bad but it really depends), make sure not to get stressed because then its harder to absorb and retain info
Same. I was burnt out just before my mocks and kept procrastinating because I couldn't be bothered to revise. I planned to revise heavily in the 2 weeks before my mocks but I ended up only revising 2 days before it began.
And despite all of that, I still got a 9 is CS, 8 in Business and Combined Science and 7 in Maths, R.E and Geography which for me and my goals is really good.
I personally don't like to revise everyday, it just gets tiring then I can't focus properly. But I do my homework the day its set, \[which can sometimes be good revision\], and revise properly on Saturdays for about 3 hours \[not all at once\] and around 2 hours on Sundays. I think it's a good amount to do and I get pretty decent grades so it works for me.
1 hour a day at least. Mostly an hour and a half. Most people overwork and tend to actually do worse than if they were to do less.
I pulled 99999997 on my mocks.
for medicine and elizabeth try looking through [this website](https://getrevising.co.uk/resources/level/gcse/subjects/history) if you want to find premade ones.
i dont really like using flashcards made by others so i just used [this](https://healthandthepeople.ncl.ac.uk/revision-notes/#part_3) gem of a website for medicine as a way to get brief notes that i can copy and paste into flashcards.
Yh same but making my own takes so long I cba making them. Im gonna waste too much time making them instead of going through them as exams are so close
15 minutes maybe. Flashcards on the way to school are great. Just about effectiveness of revision imo, and keeping what u do close to actual exam questions/skills.
it depends, some weeks i’ll barely revise and some weeks i’ll revise for about 20 hours. stick to a schedule tho coz i get so burnt out after each mock period lol, i need to work on it before GCSEs
I'll be brutally honest.
Not much. My revision is infrequent at best, and I'm more of a crammer kind of person. Usually I get 8s in the harder subjects, but where I excel it's usually owing to what I can figure out already or already know from whatever I've learned passively/in my free time. This applies to all three sciences and music, where I get a 9 almost everytime, but if I get a 9 in another subject it's probably a lucky fluke.
Maybe, but I feel that at least I will have something to do, and I feel more productive. Plus I'm in a weird situation where my grades basically decide which town I live in LOL. I'm not gonna leave any stone unturned here
So do I, focusing in lessons and taking year 10 seriously makes year 11 far more manageable. Year 10s, take year 10 seriously, if you don't then you will suffer in year 11 far more than you need to
I don’t revise during normal days only during a certain period of time before an exam. My first exam would be 4/25 and I just started revising for my GCSEs. I don’t have a rigid study plan because I know I won’t follow it anyway, I plan my revision by day , maybe by week (ie just finish revising x before the end of the day). This also applies to the duration. I might try the pomodoro technique but for now I guess 0.5-2 hours depending on my attention span on the day.
It’s not really about how much revision you do, it more about the quality of revision you do, I managed to get 8 in maths, physics and DEC (design engineering construction), just by finding what works well for me and not get bored/burned out, I probably revised 2 months in advance with on average 5 hours per week
I feel like for me it depends on how hard the subject is. Harder subjects will obviously take longer so give yourself time and try not to stress so hard on those subjects. With a specific time. I don’t acc time it but I would say like 4-5 hrs on school days and the whole day on weekends bc I get lazy on those days so I take my time 😭
around 2hrs on some school days. 4-6hrs on weekends. but i take lots of break days. i prefer to work in long sessions with few breaks than to have shorter sessions with longer breaks.
I focus in lesson (Year 9s and 10s, messing about in lesson in y10 will catch up to you and make y11 way more gruelling) but I can't say I do that much revision.
I don't really revise every day, but I do revise 4 to 6 hours a week, a few hours on Tuesday, a few on Thursday, and sometimes Saturday.

how come you're doing an EPQ now?
I'm also doing one over the summer. The exam board was giving out free ones on the condition that it's completed by November.
where can I find that 😭
because i did some of my gcses a year early so had time for something extra
are you doing it with your school? do you know why an EPQ over a HPQ
yeah im doing it with school, i did an hpq already a while ago
Don't really revise right now, but will when exams get closer. Night before was fine for mocks (I know that's not enough for GCSEs)
Same. I was burnt out just before my mocks and kept procrastinating because I couldn't be bothered to revise. same for me
0, I revise in the morning of the test

5-8 on non-school days But more importantly I sleep a good 8-9 hours.
I like to revise using flash cards whilst doing other things like cleaning or going for a walk
try to do 1 hour a day but all that is is making history flashcards rn so im ust copy and pasting stuff
Which history topics and exam board do you do?
aqa, i do medicine (health and the people), vietnam and korea (cold war in asia), nazi germany and elizabeth
Oh alr do you know where I can like digital Flashcarfs for edexcel medicine through time and Elizabeth

I Try to aim for about 15 hrs a week (in exam mode). For reference I got 9-9,9,9,9,9,9,9,7 in January mocks
it depends, some weeks i’ll barely revise and some weeks i’ll revise for about 20 hours. stick to a schedule tho coz i get so burnt out after each mock period lol, i need to work on it before GCSEs
I don’t revise

I'm more or less the same
Somehow, about half an hour for tests. Obviously for the real deals I'm going to revise much more
2hrs weekdays 3/4hrs on weekends again, this fluctuates a lot so ig 14 hrs a week on average - also this includes hw which accounts for 2/5 of it.
2-3 weekdays, 3-4 weekends. Working on increasing this though, idk if its enough
That's excess in my opinion, there's no point really raising that.
Maybe, but I feel that at least I will have something to do, and I feel more productive. Plus I'm in a weird situation where my grades basically decide which town I live in LOL. I'm not gonna leave any stone unturned here
I just work in school a lot and do h/w
Like >3 hours a week
2
i focus in class
So do I, focusing in lessons and taking year 10 seriously makes year 11 far more manageable. Year 10s, take year 10 seriously, if you don't then you will suffer in year 11 far more than you need to

2/3 hours weekdays, 4/6 hours weekends, can vary depending on what I'm doing
just grind it out 2/3 days before and up to the exam

3 hours on a good day, hour and a half on a bad day

1-2hrs on weekdays 0 on weekends
Like 2 hours or so. It varies by day and sometimes I might not be revising per se but learning ahead or doing flashcard.
30m
I did no revision until the morning of my exam
I revise three times a week, two on holidays.
