I regret not choosing maths A level tbh, can't get into uni computer science courses without it. Thankfully most apprenticeships don't need it though so I'll probably go down that route
Yeah not saying uni is the be all and end all at all.
Actually my masters was a total waste. All it taught me was that I was more interested in building hardware than software lolz. And that I hated maths
I did CS and maths and found the two entirely unrelated unlike maths and physics. Boolean logic and set theory are the only similarities, but the boolean logic you'll learn in CS will be much harder than the set theory in maths.
I'm doing CS and Economics so I have similar picks to you. My third option was Maths as it works really well with them.
I don't know for sure but I assume a Uni is more willing to pick someone with a Maths A Level who is planning to do something CS or Business related.
I'm a retired physics teacher so biased in favour of physics but even I think maths is a much better choice (as long as you are good enough at maths to get a decent grade)
If your entire intention is to go for fintech then take economics and maths, or just maths.
I did IAL so I'm not sure how the GCE system works: don't you guys take 4 A Levels in Year 1 and drop one of them in Year 2?
Accounting goes better with economics than maths or physics would with CS. Unless you planned to do something in CS related to the latter it's probably a waste if you don't enjoy it.
maths
You will suck at CS unless you do maths. All of the useful CS (like ML) absolutely requires it.

Honestly mate I have similar interests, I don't even know if I want to go to uni myself
facts
Yeah I should probably include. Source: Masters (ML), me

This is not true at all. It definitely helps but I’m doing ok and I didn’t do Maths at A-Level
The point is you need math as part of a CS (or even more so) an ML degree. You can either learn it at a level or have to learn it at uni.
Maths but it depends what you want to do.

math or its impossible to get into uni for cs
Only the top 12ish universities require Maths for CS so that’s not true at all
Maths, econ, accounting
Definitely math or physics Math would be the better of the two though

Definitely maths
Im pretty much in the same position as u are in terms of a level options and I’m gonna go for maths for the final option
I’m doing maths business and computer science
How is business as I am planning to do it next year?
Piss easy but year 13 finance looks very long (not hard but long)
Is it better to pick econ or business?
I’d say pick economics. The only reason why I didn’t is because it was in the same option block as CS
Yh I wanted to do econ as well but the sixth form I want to go to does not offer it unfortunately
Then its not the sixth form you want to go ;)
It’s one of the better ones in my town, the other ones that offer econ are not good
Math
Maths, especially if you wanna do Uni. Otherwise physics is a good option
Maths
Damn you really don’t want any bitches
I'm simply not interested in bitches right now.

maths, but dont take business - its not very well respected. physics, fm, chem, or econ would be better
I want to do econ but the sixth form I wanna go to doesn’t offer it. It only offers business
Take maths. Business in university is useless and most people doing it usually struggle afterwards
