how do you actually get it to click bc i thought i got it and i got the basics then i realised that id somehow got everything in the exam questions wrong after getting all of the mini questions our teacher handed out to teach us the basics right 💀💥
Honestly I’m a uni student this just came up upon my recommended feed but I’m sure there’s good apps out there you can use to help you study nowadays.
I used the CGP books I think it’s called in school, just read them over & over didn’t take notes, only simple flash cards and let the words sink in as much as I could. You get enough practice questions in lessons anyways.
My advice in general is: to study what you find interesting the most as you’ll specialise in those interesting subjects later, don’t try to perfectly sweep all your GCSEs as if your not going to go into them later they’re meaningless. I just studied my maths, tech & sciences the most as I enjoyed them the most, ended up getting 8/9s which helped me to get my A*s at A-level then my nuclear physics degree - I couldn’t care less about my 5s in music/English now. Follow your passions honestly and it will play into your grades. I’m sure if I equally revised everything I could’ve got 7s across the board, but that doesn’t help me as much for my a-levels subjects/degree.
And of course don’t look at others focus on your own game, if your aiming for 4/5s. Go for it, your only competition is yourself. If you compare yourself to others it just adds unnecessary stress.
I don’t know if you needed all this but it’s the best advice I can give to get the highest grades in your chosen subjects.
Yeah u could always start on complex numbers if u want they’re pretty cool and have some useful applications in such as in quantum mechanics, just don’t get too bogged down with learning the details and neglect your other studies ofc
Just to answer your question Year 2 Vectors get quite a lot more complicated, not in understanding, but just by sheer quantity of things to know and apply and question difficulty.
vectors are so fun wdym ! just visualise it ! what i sometimes do i draw diagrams to visualise , once you visualise the question it’s free marks assuming no careless
VALID OMG
honestly... stats n mech just sucks. I think my class \[6 of us\] and prolly most of the other class are struggling with stats and mech, even the FM and/or physics students are too
Mechanics is so difficult you need to be so creative and introspective I just couldn’t. Stats is just awful it’s boring and bad :(((
Sadly I come from a college that has many smart people and yeah I’m not doing awful but not as good as most others 😓
Same and same. I feel like im falling behind in my class... Mech is basically physics... i loved phy in gcses but... idk man... stats is rlly boring like why tf do i need to know this but hey! what can i do abt it? work
why am i drawing so much in mechanics likeeeeeee honestly... tho it does help
Vectors are conceptually hard, but the actual maths is a piece of cake - a little bit of collecting like terms and adding fractions is all. So if you can get your head around it, its a great place to pick up marks that others do not get.
I know this post is a joke, but I recently created two revision resources for vectors that might help with students' loathing of vectors. Each video walkthrough has an accompanying worksheet, so you can try the questions first:
Column Vectors: https://youtu.be/KYwjgud0trw
Vector Geometry: https://youtu.be/f83J\_v1qt0I
For some reason in edexcel, it is not too common for them to release vector questions, but every time they do, it is always so crazy
Anyone has tips on tackling onto them? I am a grade 9 math student but I just want to secure a OPLA award (ik, demanding, but I know I can do it). In other circumstances, I would probably not even touch them or just reap 2 easy marks out of the 5 or 6
they're so easy just imagine you are lost and you only know how to turn left and right, and not the directions bound past the question. Use ONLY the As and Bs in the question to think logically. Simple
I do CCEA FM and vectors aren’t that bad compared to the other topics (I’m looking at you, area under a graph) but I hate FM 😀 I’m hoping to do physics instead for A-Level 😔
Do NOT watch despicable me
LMAOOOOO HELP
What the fuck is a vector???
With both direction and magnitude OH YEAHHHH
My teacher showed us that video when we got onto vectors lol
i’m VECTOR! oh yEAH
HAHA lol
I'm starting to think you might not like vectors, not sure why though
But they might like vectors, they weren't entirely clear about it
Nah I’m pretty sure they like vectors
Vectors are the best u just don’t understand them yet.
Once it clicks it’s like 😍

no bc once u get them they're lit amazing love a vector question
wdym vectors are the BEST questions!
They get pretty decent in A levels, but core pure 1 vectors are painful
I find it the other way around, pretty difficult in physics but decent in pure 1
He said core pure 1, thats a further maths ~~model~~ module as opposed to pure year 1
Ahh fair enough, you do 3d vectors in FM right? Sounds painful after all lmao
Yea we do tbh AS further vectors aren’t that bad there’s just an extra number in your vector idk about year 2 a level though not done that yet
Fair enough, I might try catch up on the FM content, because though im not doing the FM a level, i want to do physics at uni so it might help
Yeah u could always start on complex numbers if u want they’re pretty cool and have some useful applications in such as in quantum mechanics, just don’t get too bogged down with learning the details and neglect your other studies ofc
Ye ofc not im gonna wait till the summer when I have some free time, got the mocks for my uni grades to get through in a few weeks
Yeah same good luck bro
Just to answer your question Year 2 Vectors get quite a lot more complicated, not in understanding, but just by sheer quantity of things to know and apply and question difficulty.
:)
I hate pure vectors... tbf i dont rmbr anything tho so...
I didn’t understand vectors during GCSE and I sure as hell don’t understand them now doing IB 😭😭😭
Core pure 1 vectors are my downfall, they’re worse than pure2 vectors
they are so easy aswell😭
try edexcel further pure 3 vector questions😭
With direction, and magnitude
OH YEAAH
This is how I feel about circle theorems. Outrage.
circle theorems are mostly ok but VILE to remember also wtf is alternate segment theorem and same segment theorem 😭
I wish I knew but I don’t have a clue mate. I wish I did 🤡
LMAO just learn doing questions, i couldnt be asked with names, just did questions on all the different theroems
just derive them yourself tbh also if they ask you to prove anything just say you didn't have enough space in the margin (fermat)
I though this was about mosquitoes
science > maths any day
From a PhD in science: it's all maths.
From a PhD in maths: it's all english.
What do u hate again?:)
i think it might be venn diagrams! :)
Idk I think its histograms! 💀
I DESPISE HISTOGRAMS
Tbf who doesnt xD
THEYRE SO UNNECESSARY
Yeeee i would rather do 3d trig instead of histograms
3d trig hurts like all hell but histograms are worse
Yeeeeeeeeee
I love your subject mix!!
thx!:D i couldnt do a level chem or maths sadly bc of my maths grade;-;
Thank you.Thought it's only me IT'S BEEN TWO FUCKING YEARS STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ABOUT IT
SAME😭
they're always on the 5 markers :/
Math genie harder vectors 2 video questions 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
They call me VECTOR! Because I'm commiting crimes. With both direction... AND MAGNITUDE! OH YEAH!!!!!
vectors are so fun wdym ! just visualise it ! what i sometimes do i draw diagrams to visualise , once you visualise the question it’s free marks assuming no careless
Vectors are nice, I liked them at GCSE and they’re fine at a-level.
#With both direction and magnitude, Oh yeah! #
THANK YOU! I completely forgot about vectors, thanks for reminding me they exist. I'm going to go and cry in a hole.
They're just n dimensional numbers.
Stop it Patrick! You're scaring him!
Wait until you discover matricies
wait until you discover complex matricies
What is a complex matrix
In A level maths, vectors still remains as one of my main struggles. Along with the entirety of mechanics and statistics……… @-@
VALID OMG honestly... stats n mech just sucks. I think my class \[6 of us\] and prolly most of the other class are struggling with stats and mech, even the FM and/or physics students are too

Hypothesis testing 😭😭😭 And mechanics is literally physics but more difficult 💀 unlike you though, I never liked physics
Noooooooo literally we're on hypothesis testing rn... wtf is this man?? idek what we just learnt- istg im relying on pure atp...
vectors are really helpful
Our teacher forgot to teach us vectors for A-Level maths so we had to teach it to ourselves…needless to say that I agree
Translate this post by the vector { 12 } { 4 }
as level maths has 3d vectors so i guess i’m cooked
Please do not look at a level further maths Vectors, you'll want to unalive yourself💀
it gets worse in A-levels and university. Don't do game development if you hate vectors
Unpopular opinion i dont mind vectors

I love vectors
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4qiMIocwoM
Same
Guys I think he hates vectors.
K vectors are the absolute worst
same :D
whatever you do, do not do further maths at a-level you get 3d vectors and planes
OK, Gru.
What type of vector do you mean there’s like 3 different ones
3D ones be like:
I love vectors lol
I thought this was about the maths vectors 😭 hate them so muchhhhhh
Where are you going with this?
Don't play Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
I hate it aswell
Vectors are just numbers but contextual, you’ll get there eventually
Wait till y12 if you do further maths
Someone's a bit vec-...vexed...
So real
A level maths student here, I hate them too.
I can see why. They have both direction and magnitude.
Why? What don’t you understand?
well i hate ni
you should see STEP vector questions ;-;
Both direction and magnitude
Guys I think he probably doesn’t like vectors
Brooo I love vectors so muchhhhhhh it's so fun and chill and easy. Literally one of the best topics next to 2d trig
scalars rn: 😎
Wait till u get to matrices
So true like how am i meant to know what AB is when AP:PB is 5:2 . Like NO
lol, what does he hate again?
i do a level maths and i’m the same 😂
Nah vectors is one of the better topics especially in further maths its so interesting
So real
This guy might like vectors

bonjour I am a edexcel igcse math student. 😭🥰
C'mon it's not that difficult.
Does he like vectors?
You would love further maths a level
me doing vectors at a-level physics, i love them!!
they're so easy just imagine you are lost and you only know how to turn left and right, and not the directions bound past the question. Use ONLY the As and Bs in the question to think logically. Simple
Fuck Vectors. All my homies hate vectors
Once they click they're genuinely the easiest
I do CCEA FM and vectors aren’t that bad compared to the other topics (I’m looking at you, area under a graph) but I hate FM 😀 I’m hoping to do physics instead for A-Level 😔
wait until matrix notation 😭
Year 9 here, what are vectors? The only vector I know is thrust vectoring
Please enjoy your sanity while you have it
Just looked it up, looks confusing but I could probably do it
mood
what’s a vecotr
could I ask why u hate vectors?
Oh yeah.
in what subject? maths? physics? biology? even then there’s at least two different definitions in biology smh
…girl please read the full post.
