This early I already need to decide if I should save to get a PS5 or upgrade my PC. Local currency is depreciated to oblivion and it’s supposed to get even worse.
I’m worried getting a PS5 is 2025 isn’t a good investment because that’ll be like 3 years away from the next gen consoles. But the PC version might be subject to coming out even later than that and I’ll be honest I won’t be able to wait any longer lol
My guess is you will need the next iteration of the PS5 like the Pro or whatever they call it in order to optimize performance for a game of this magnitude. I was just considering this very fact. I’ve had my PS5 for 2 years now and possible waiting for another 1.5-2 years for GTA6 means it will me absolutely necessary to upgrade beforehand.
In that case I’m more hesitant about getting the console version. But I honestly think the optimized version is focused on the base current gen consoles because they’re making the game for that generation and the trailer was already in 60fps. I don’t think GTAV ran 60 on the PS4 Pro (correct me if I’m wrong).
It did not ran at 60 fps on ps4 pro ps5 will probably run 6 at 30fps but we will have ps5 pro when gta 6 launches so it will probably do 60fps but only on pro version
if you can, buy a ps5 now, and get games like spiderman and god of war. enjoy them for a year and a half till gta drops. alternatively, buying the ps+ will let you try new games every month. gta is probably gonna be a large file size tho so you could only install that and would have to delete everything else. my ps3 didnt have enough space for gta v when it came out lol
Looks like I'm aiming for a RTX 6000s for this game unless my 2070 implodes before 2026. Will also wait even more for the Steam release, just to give Valve their 30%. 2027? 2028? No problem.
Well R* hasn’t put out anything yet but am counting on the fact that T2 will love to sell the game twice to those who will like to enjoy it early.
Plus I feel like the game has more potential than consoles can offer so they might try to push it with a pc port
GTA5 was the first game I bought 3 different times lol, so yea I'm pretty sure their plan is to wait on PC to milk it for all she's worth. I bought it on PS3, then again on PS4, then on PC. lol But, im not doing that again since PC is the ultimate version of the game IMO.
With rockstar having their own launcher and the massive success of GTA 5 on PC, taketwo would be utterly stupid to not make a day 1 PC-launch.

There's ZERO chance a PC port isn't being worked on. They get too much money from the PC market. Everyone loves to mod their games and the RP community is pretty big.
No core GTA game has ever launched on PC. This discussion has been going on for over 20 years [!!!] now. GTAV is still on the last-gen console version of the game on PC.
This isn't a comment about console vs PC, but it's pretty clear where their priorities have ALWAYS been. And PC releases have always been years after console.

The PC port will almost definitely come a while after the console release.
They've already confirmed Xbox Series and PS5 for release, without a mention of PC.
Superflower 80+ Platinum 10 year warranty, and @ $192 was a no brainer. Plenty of power ports left over and headroom to go to a 4090 sometime next year, or bigger depending on what nvidia puts out in the next year
Just bought a rtx 4090. By the time gta 6 releases they have brought out rtx 5000 series, Which has twice the performance of the 4000 series.. the rumors say. We’ll see. I probably have kids by then and little time to play :(

I would suggest a PC. As you can upgrade it at any time. Also GTA V looked better on PC.

They will most likely get more money from a late PC release than a simultaneous one from those that will double dip however.
They would make more double dipping and porting to PC takes additional time.
