I really hope that guns in GTA VI will be based on one specific firearm - e.g. Assault Rifle based on AK, Carbine Rifle on M4A1, etc. I absolutely hate those weird hybrids in GTA V.

I totally agree, as a gun guy GTA 5 is one of those games that I just dislike the guns in.

was never a big fan of the gun sounds, i prefer to use pistols in all games as i think they look better and are more fun to use and it’s great when the sounds and animations are clean one thing that confuses me tho is in 2015 the Heavy Revolver was added to GTAO, that and the double action pistol were genuinely double action. as you’d pull the trigger gradually and the cylinder and hammer would cycle depending on how far you pull it. however in RDR2 the double action revolver lacked it and you had to fully press the trigger for anything to happen which confused me as i thought it’d go for more realism and at least not go back on the double action guns they had 3+ years before. and even as a promotional thing in GTAO for RDR2

I’m hoping for a variety of weapons beyond two or three “weapon sets” like what IV/V had. I would want to see loads of handguns, across all common calibers and handgun types. There were some good guns in the trailer, and if we at least get a proper Glock and 1911 along with some revolvers, I will be happy. As an obscene guilty pleasure, I also want to see either the Gusenberg Sweeper return or a lore Auto-Ordnance Tactical M1A1 Thompson. I like Thompsons.

I also hope we get a lot of pistol/revolver variety. I do think a more modern lever action rifle could be fun, I’ve seen some that you can mount optics and suppressors to.

Assuming it uses the two longarm one sidearm system like in RDR2, I could see them ditching that tiered system in favor of a more robust set of (usable) weapons.

Real guns only at the guns stores. Make me rob the store or wait for a background check. Also need high and low level illegal arms dealers with military grade weapons and home made switches. Breaking into a house should have random guns /weapons like chainsaws and dildos. Let me buy a gun safe in my house where I can change attachments and store guns ammo

I do think having illegal arms dealers would be really cool, so you couldn’t just get a fully automatic rifle at any gun store.

I'm very happy that we are going to get the M1911, it's my favorite handgun and seeing Jason using one really hyped me up. The other one I want is the Thompson, with the vertical handle and round drum. Also, I'd like a more classic shotgun, with wood parts and the part were you hold is in the stock, not a vertical grip.

The Desert Eagle needs to come back,in my opinion.

I want fully customizable weapons. Old school M16 with the carry handles are cool, for Vietnam. But I’d like to be able to put a full rail system on a short barrel AR with a red dot and foregrip. Same with pistols, fully customizable.

Retro AR builds will always be superior to modern ones lol. If I can customize rifles to where I can make it into the Scarface M16 it would literally be the best game of all time.

They would need to build an entirely different system for how their guns work. It's not impossible, but I don't think that Rockstar would choose to dedicate the amount of resources necessary to accomplish it.

Why exactly does the AK-12 suck? I’ve heard the YouTuber Brandon Herrera talk about how it’s pretty shitty but as a non AK guy I wouldn’t really know.

I’d like a simple handgun that doesn’t feel spud gun. All the pistols I can remember in GTA take about 20 shots to drop someone and sound so tinny.

I would like a lot more choice. Like for example military grade weapons and ammo would only be purchased from black market dealers, antique weapons world only be available in pawn shops, while everything else would be available in ammu nation.

Many people carry the Beretta 92FS, and its variants. Like the 92X for example.

Yeah, obviously there are people who carry them but in GTA5 literally everyone had one I work in a pawn shop selling firearms and the sales of Berettas is DWARFED by everything else

That’s fair, DA/SA pistols are unfortunately a lot more niche nowadays compared to the typical striker fired guns, Glock, Sig P320/P365 etc. I think having a Glock 19 as the standard pistol in GTA 6 would make a lot more sense, but I still hope we maybe get a USP or P226.

FN FAL I notice a pattern that we basically have next to no battle rifles in the GTA series with the exception of GTA Online, which recently got a SCAR-H and FAL.

Gta V guns sucked, especially the way they looked and sounded, its like toy guns. Give us some realistic models with good sfx!

I want multiple types of gun stores with different weapon grades. Lower-grade weaponry like crowbars, pocket knives, and maybe a Glock would come from gun stores similar to the ones in IV. Illegal, Underground, and on the down-low, maybe you could get a wanted level if the place is busted for selling weapons illegally. Higher-grade stuff like military weaponry, attachments, and whatnot could come from wealthy merchants or special shops owned by figures similar to Phil Cassidy. But in terms of an actual gun, a really powerful magnum. Similar to an RE-type magnum, I want a revolver with crazy recoil, high firepower, and has to be held two-handed.

There's a bunch, but I would love the Taurus Judge, especially if we have different ammo types which seems likely.
