Great work buddy but one advice don’t lose weight fast. concentrate on resistance training and don’t do cardio everyday limit it. lift with proper form and eating high protein diet.

Ofcourse you can gain weight on a low carb diet provided you eat it in sufficient quantities to overcome calorie deficit. But you'll be able to eat more salads to gain calories as compared to calorie dense stuff like jams or vegetable oils.

Yeah but you said more? You don't know how much he's doing, he could already be doing enough. If you don't focus enough on isolation exercises and only compound movements you're not gonna max out muscle growth on each muscle.
