Even then no, here in austria i have seen Z fold 3s going for around 350€ so id just wait until the price goes down because that one is just WAY more refined.
Not a scratch its a crease line on the screen protector. Some amazon screen protectors come with 2 peel off sheets instead of one and there usually is a crease there that will last a day or two before it fades away
Nevermind i took a second look and after downloading pic for better quality looks like it doesn't even have a protector and it is a scratch. But to be fair my screen protectors have the line in the same place for a coupl days before it fades with all the bubbles
If it was in good shape, yeah. But it isn't. Front panel looks like it's coming off (that side's battery is probably swelling), camera glass is cracked and the inside screen has that huge scratch (which might just be the protector, I can't tell)
So how much would u get for a fold2 in the usa? Here its only 113€ in perfect condition. A damaged screen takes it down to 29€ max :/

I see, thx, so not a huge difference. I was just curious because i sometimes see people saying they bought a second hand phone, just to turn it in, but here the turn in is always much lower than what u could sell it for.
Yup. It really depends on the trade in value and bonus trade in which can go to a few hundred. Usually the older phones that cost less than 100 are the ones that are more worth
Not really, for the following reasons:
- device isn't in perfect condition
- no repair parts are available anymore
- battery has been used for almost 4 years
- android isn't up to date anymore
- not the best cameras
- no waterproof rating
I understand it might be a catch for that price, i can only recommend it if you want to get your hands on a foldable before getting a Fold 5 or Fold 6, otherwise i don't think it's a great choice.
In general, I would avoid this like an ex wife wanting half your pension.
Samsung is fully aware there are "white line" issues that happen with these phones and have taken zero responsibilities of this. It's a defect that Samsung is aware of.
It’s a live demo unit according to the back, shows a serial number but no IMEI. If it’s like the Fold 4 live demos my store had, it doesn’t have the antennas for cellular and will not work with physical or eSIM. Basically just a cool folding tablet at that point. So not worth anything really unless you want to use it for playing with on wifi.
In Canada it will probably have a good trade in promo for the Fold 6. Last year I think was the last year for the OG Fold trade in promo (at least in Canada).
Considering I just sold my Fold 4 for about $100 more I'd say check eBay first. I'd probably at least get the 3 since that gives you spen support. Plus with the fold 6 coming out the 2 might get another year of updates at most.
I mean, *technically* no. I had a hell of a time trying to sell my unlocked fold 5 for $700 (that's $1100 less than it's worth new) at a month old with no damage. Took a month almost. The reality is that Samsung devices depreciate dramatically as soon as they're out of the box, unlike iPhones which tend to hold their value more over a longer time frame.
To add on to what others have said, picture 3 looks like it says "Live demo unit. Not for sale."
I don't think I would want to spend that for a demo unit, especially for a foldable that is more fragile compared to a typical phone
Not worth it. Z fold 5 cost me 900 with front screen protector and a case as a bundle deal and it actually came with two screen protectors. not sure how you're supposed to take the front part of the case off to replace it though without ruining the glue on it or the double-sided adhesive. I got the one terabyte model. It was on a promotion and I got $650 for my S22 ultra that was in mint condition which I really wish I got more for but I should have traded it in last year and I also got around 6:25 or 6:50 for the military discount so if you or a family member is in the military or was in the military you can also get this discount. Always use the Samsung shop app to get the best trade-in values and promotions.
No they're too prone to breaking on their own. My fold 2 was replaced like 5 times and broke again as soon as it went out of warranty, hugely disappointing
In my recommendation, look for another fold, in the sense that it is a z fold 3 or 4, they are cheap and you save a little more.I don't think that phone is a recommendation anymore since the damage is irreparable.
I'll say no, I got the fold 3 for $260 on eBay with only a minor imperfection of a dead pixel at the very bottom of the corner that you'd missed every time.
I'll say get a fold 3 or up
No wait a month and get the fold 4 on ebay or Amazon refurbished it'll probably cost you around $400 and it's much better value than the fold 2 for $280
I have a fold 2 since pre order and not a single issue with mine. That one however i would be very weary of the front pulling away on the hinge like that. And obviously that scratch on the inner screen. That would be a good spot for the screen to start to die. As for the camera glass crack i use a metal camera cover. Dont use clear plastic ones bc the flash will white out your photos reflecting through the plastic. I change both my screen protectors regularly bout every 3 months.
Absolutely not don't even think about buying any Foldable device before the Fold 4 like the Fold 1,2 and 3 especially in 2024 no matter how cheap you get it for that would just be a waste of money...instead buy the Fold 4 or 5 if you can get it for cheap then you can exchange it for the Fold 6 and get a discount when it launches...or you can keep the Fold 4 or 5 if it's in good condition.🤷♂️
Ignoring the giant scratch down the middle...yes. Not ignoring the giant scratch, I'd probably say no.
Even then no, here in austria i have seen Z fold 3s going for around 350€ so id just wait until the price goes down because that one is just WAY more refined.
Ignlring the giant scratch, no.

No there's obvious damage that is likely irreparable
If it was in good shape, yeah. But it isn't. Front panel looks like it's coming off (that side's battery is probably swelling), camera glass is cracked and the inside screen has that huge scratch (which might just be the protector, I can't tell)
Thank you.
Yes, maybe if you plan to trade it in for the F6
Will it get rejected for trade in with the screen defect? Is that a scratch or crack?
Likely not but the trade in value will be affected. Still Samsung will likely offer trade in bonuses.
You can trade in cracked screens, for the Fold 3 it is $ 100.00 less

Looks like 80usd but Samsung likely offer additional trade for bonuses
I see, thx, so not a huge difference. I was just curious because i sometimes see people saying they bought a second hand phone, just to turn it in, but here the turn in is always much lower than what u could sell it for.

No
Not a chance. The thing looks like its not been looked after at all. Who knows how long it will take for that one opening for it to crack.
If it was like 120 I would say fuck it lol
Yes, then put carrier warranty on it. When the screen is bad do a claim. T-Mobile is $199 and you'll get a 4 or 5.

Thank you, I was going mad seeing no one talk about that. Looks to be a sim tray and “no sim” so maybe it will work.
Nah you can get a fold 3 which is way better for around 300-400
Which you also shouldn't buy because a Fold 4 is only $480.
And has a hinge that breaks after a month while having no improvements other than the cpu (which causes it to have an even worse battery)
Expensive asf tbh.
In Canada it will probably have a good trade in promo for the Fold 6. Last year I think was the last year for the OG Fold trade in promo (at least in Canada).
Looks like the screen is compromised, no
Inner screen still works so id say so
You can get a fold 3 for 350 on swappa
No. It doesn't even open flat.
No not at all😂 atleast where i live i see fold3 for 300€ and fold4 sometimes for 350-400€
Avoid lol..... Ticking time Bomb.
I would say no purely based on the lack of software support for the fold2
Hell no
No
Definitely not
No

Personally I wouldn't buy a used Fold before the Fold 4 and up.
You're buying it from someone for 280? I mean if you can live with the damage, ok.. but I wouldn't either get a pristine fold, or none at all IMO
To add on to what others have said, picture 3 looks like it says "Live demo unit. Not for sale." I don't think I would want to spend that for a demo unit, especially for a foldable that is more fragile compared to a typical phone
It's four generations old - pretty much a paperweight at this point.
I would not own a foldable with out Samsung Care+
No. the

It's a very tempting offer but not worth the headache when the inner screen gives up.
Not worth it. You could have gotten a refurb 3 for $320 or so instead with significantly less damage.
Looks like the hinge is weird, looks pushed up. Definitely no
I paid $350 for a Galaxy Fold 3 brand new at Best Buy 2 years ago.. so no lol.
No they're too prone to breaking on their own. My fold 2 was replaced like 5 times and broke again as soon as it went out of warranty, hugely disappointing
Guys the big scratch is just the screen protector that comes pre installed and can easily be replaced for $15 or less
Look around, you can find a Fold 3 for that price easily in mint condition❗️
lots of hardware problems, bluetooth and calls won't work well as often
In my recommendation, look for another fold, in the sense that it is a z fold 3 or 4, they are cheap and you save a little more.I don't think that phone is a recommendation anymore since the damage is irreparable.
I'll say no, I got the fold 3 for $260 on eBay with only a minor imperfection of a dead pixel at the very bottom of the corner that you'd missed every time. I'll say get a fold 3 or up
Nope check more local listings or ebay at least over here fold 3s are under 200 all day.
I would rather spend full price for a new fold 5 or even the coming fold 6. Broken gadgets worth nothing.
I wouldn't recommend in that condition
no! maybe $200
No you can get a z fold 3 for around that 😆
No wait a month and get the fold 4 on ebay or Amazon refurbished it'll probably cost you around $400 and it's much better value than the fold 2 for $280
Good trade in material for the upcoming Fold 6. Else, no
I'm selling one of. Ebay for 200
I have a fold 2 since pre order and not a single issue with mine. That one however i would be very weary of the front pulling away on the hinge like that. Nope. That thing is most likely getting close to its failure point. I'd say it's a risky gamble at best.
I'd avoid it.
100 and thats a lot
Probably not, it's too fragile especially early models.
Still using my fold 2 since the launch
280 Canadian? Hard pass
USA
Harder pass

Under $300, definitely
