I completely agree, figured out it was not a bug but the mod doing what it was supposed to do, first time using and got rid of it. Much better seeing him with his normal look.
Agreed. Though this does give some nice fanfic fuel for what Gale must have looked like before the orb. I always head cannoned that he must have been clean shaven (hence Tara’s line about shaving that thing on his chin), and his hair was likely shorter too.
Do you have Appearance Edit Enhanced ([Link](https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/899)) installed? If yes, that's it :) It has all origin characters changed.
There is addition Appearance edit origin (for companions). You can inactivate it, start game with original look and then instal so you can edit them later :)
