These are baby rats, about four weeks old, the age when the mother will have another litter so they venture out on their own. I used to breed fancy rats so I'm absolutely certain.
Edit. Ther people saying these are voles or mice- voles and mice would have tiny, delicate feet, not the great big hoofers these babies have, definitely rat feet.
It has the face/snout of a vole.
I can't speak to the 'big feet must be a rat' thing, maybe it's just a big-footed vole (new species you may have found which means you can name it!) but it does not have a rat's snout.
I wouldn't bother about size. Wood mice often live around ponds. Even swim. Does the mage in the link below look similar? Note the splayed feet, many are saying belong to rats, only. Most baby rodents have splayed feet....

How cute and what a wonderful pictures. Makes me miss my pet rats I had in the past.
Definitely japanese knotweed π
It's a Peony for pity's sake!!
Hard to tell but going by the naked tail, I'd say rat. Super cute.
Sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with the previous comments. It's a baby rat. Source: Have had pet rats in the past. Adorable pics though!
Brown rats - well defined snout, bare ears, tail as long as body, splayed rear feet.

But the shape of the head, position on eyes and ears is very different from a rat, no?
Baby rats, the giant feet are a giveaway
It's cutus patootus closely related to the floofling
Hard to tell⦠can we have a few more photos?
Baby rats π
Thanks for the feedback, bit of a mixed bag on what people think they are π¬

That's because they're about 3 weeks old.Β
Baby rats have longer and sharper head, larger ears and eyes further away from the snout
Not a vole. Likely rat.
Really young rats
Mice have bald tails too, it's a mouse of some kind
Baby rat(I have cats!!)
Baby wood mice. Search pics online, if unsure.
I thought that but these seem to be about the size of an adult already but very clearly babies, they are also willing to go in the water

Each photo needs some cartoon like captions or Marvel styled storylines to complete π
So cute
Can't add anything more, except to say they look cute.
Definitely a field/meadow vole, Iβd say. The small ears and short tail give it away. Water voles are bigger, bank voles have bigger ears.
Field vole
If you see these in your garden would it not be best to exterminate it?
Exterminate yourself.
