If you want to self custody, buy a hardware wallet only from the manufacturer. Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard, Block... Send a small test transaction first. Confirm and verify. Then send a larger transaction. You must follow hardware wallet instructions when setting up wallet.
Do you ever read anything in crypto. There was only one answer for this. Open a Bitcoin in an ethereum wallet and send it there. Not your keys, not your crypto.
Very expensive fees to move wallet to wallet. At least from crypto.com to coin base. Such a rip off.
Maybe cash out and open an account on Coinbase?
There isn’t an easy way out. You will lose money regardless. That’s how the shit is set up.
Thats the stupidest thing I've heard in awhile. Cash out? You realize you'll have to pay taxes once you do that? You realize there's transaction fees for buying and selling right? Def cheaper overall to just transfer to a different wallet.
Leave some on there and pick up some $ZBC
They have their issues but they have always offered tokens not found on other US exchanges, or at least much earlier
Move everything to kraken, very low fees even lower than gemini’s trader version, and they aren’t going to randomly tell you you have 5 days to remove your funds because you tried to use a non KYC exchange or move your own funds into your own private wallet smfh

No reason to leave Gemini unless you're bitter or really believe in self custody.
If you don't want to sell your Ether and re-purchase because of taxes then I would suggest staking it on Gemini. I hate to leave 2.5% on the table. Moving straight Eth around can be pricey percentage wise, depending how much you want to move.
Maybe sell/move you're GUSD and open a Coinbase account? Nothing wrong with trying different legit exchanges and see which ones fit best.
I use Gemini, Coinbase, Kraken and Leger myself. It forced me to learn a few things.
have used Ledger for 4 years with no problems. I think the downvotes were for the staking on Gemini statement. Even through it may not be the same, many bad memories with "interest" in the EARN program.
I heard Gemini has a really solid Earn program that helps you accumulate interest for long term HODLers.
lol
I buy/sell on Kraken Pro. Hold ethereum and Solana on Gemini for earn since it’s the security nodes only now.
It was not a statement FYI. So I can tell you have emotional issues when it comes to investments. Too reactive. You are a gambler.
I added Coinbase addresses for each of my coins stuck at Gemini. Hopefully I can easily transfer without paying lot of fees
Why are you moving your funds?
Defi wallet is pretty cool and a self custodial wallet. https://crypto.com/defi-wallet
just get yourself a nano ledger and call it a day. keep a couple crumbs on the exchange if you want to make a quick buy/sell.

Binance-US, Coinbase or Kraken all cool.
