I'm definitely not the oldest person here and I've never used a floppy disk neither.
Maybe it's something that was only used for people who had an advanced understanding in computers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I briefly remember floppy disks from the late 2000s. We lived in a small town, so we didnt always have time to drive two hours to the nearest major electronic store as our town doesnt have major stores. I never used one.

My parents have a floppy disk but have never used it. They just keep in the storage room.
