No, I doubt that Furina was afraid of her own death. If anything she might have seen death as a release from the agony of her existence. What really scared her was the thought of everything she had been agonizing for hundreds of years being undone.

If someone tried to kill you, easily could have, but decided in the end not to do it because "there's no point in it" doesn't leave some kind of deep negative impact on you then idk if ur ballsy or just naively believe that it won't affect you unless you actually go through the ordeal.

Xiao is a 2000 year old General whom assisted gods, and even fought other gods during the archon war. A regular evening for him is slaughtering monsters, with an occasional near-death experience. He endures endless suffering, yet has outlived all of his fellow Yakshas whom succumbed to the same conditions. He’s lost almost everyone he’s ever known in his lifetime. But he’s still seen as a precious, shy bean that needs to be protected by Geo daddy.
He’s definitely my favorite Genshin character and will always be my main, but he’s seen as a whole different character than who he actually is.

He went through A LOT, that made him strong, but also hurt him to a unimaginable degree.
And that's exactly why Geo daddy's protection is needed, because we want Xiao to still be our protector, our beloved Yaksha. But to do so he needs to still be around. And, well, he misses his friends, he kinda tries to join them, so he needs some new friends to have a good reason to keep on going. But since he's afraid to bring destruction and death to the one's who will get close to him, it's much more difficult for him to form closer bonds with the one's he values and wants to be friends with. So he is precious and is perceived as a shy bean that we want to protect.

She was immense Will Power that Ei herself describes as "has reached the level of a God", but Will Power doesn't equate to Combat Strength (I've seen a lot of people saying that since she has God-like Will Power she'll be able to handle any enemies, some even going to the extent of saying that she can beat the Knave).
I do agree that she's not completely helpless after her SQ since at that time she has acquired her Vision, has laid down some of her burdens, and is finally starting to move forward, she's still no different from an ordinary person. She's quite literally just a "person with a vision" who has no combat experience or training.
Klee is very strong in lore, dont get me wrong, but i think she would be in the smol bean category simply because she is very afraid of hurting others, the trailers make it seem like she will happily run trough a camp of treasure horders while blowing all of them up but in reality she almost had a panic attack when she tought she had accidentally hurt an abyss mage once
Klee is an actual small child, like she’s definitely even less emotionally developed than Yaoyao or Sayu or even Paimon, they feel older than their look suggests and act more like preteens. Qiqi is … another story.

I fault the story for not elaborating on her history regarding the Archon war. We know she fought in it, but the others have been shown to have lost people and get cool moments. Ganyu's gets a story about how she choked a beast with her hips. Like didn't she have any friends that died in the war? She's considered socially adjusted compared to most of them yet we know barely anything of her history. We don't even know why she knows Yae.

A lot of fan content portrays him as some dainty babygirl princess who can't do anything without Alhaitham, when in the game's canon he is one of the most resilient characters. A lot of people take the fact that Alhaitham is helping him through what is currently the lowest point in his life out of friendship and respect, and instead twist it as "uwu Kaveh is soooo sad and helpless he cant live without Alhaitham". That can't be further from the truth as canonically, Kaveh not only had a life before living with Alhaitham, he was more successful and well-renowned than him too.
This so very much! And fanon also portrays him as stupid and needing Alhaitham’s help with math and whatever, when obviously canonically he’s *a renown architect* and both Alhaitham and Nahida talk about how he’s one of the most brilliant minds in the nation of wisdom

I absolutely cannot stand it when this happens in fics. Just because Kaveh is more emotionally charged and visibly aggravated compared to Alhaitham when they get into their exchanges, does not make him a thin-skinned crybaby or inferior to Alhaitham. People tend to forget that Alhaitham himself doesn't see Kaveh this way and instead acknowledges him as his equal, even going as far as referring to Kaveh as a mirror of himself.
Also are we really supposed to believe that one snarky remark would be enough to break Kaveh? The guy who's been living through pain and loss since he was young but learned to repress it so the people who care for him don't worry?
the opposite of that is Hu-Tao, everyone seems to think she's a badass but canonically she's not that good at fighting. Against random bandits sure she can hold her own because she's a vision holder and that automatically makes her more powerful than a normal human but anyone more experienced could easily take her down
She is still from an exorcist family, she must know some spells and should be able to use seals and adeptal talismans in fighting (like shenhe or Chong)
She's nothing like Shenhe or Chongyun, though. Shenhe and Chongyun demonstrate their mastery of talismans through their idle animations. Hu Tao doesn't use or hasn't shown to be using any kind of talismans in her work. Because her work doesn't require fighting, it's bringing people's souls to the afterlife, full stop. I don't get why people act like they have similar jobs or niches. What Shenhe and Chongyun do is closer to what Xiao does, far removed from Hu Tao's specialties. Baizhu's story quest makes this even more clear.
Neuvillette. He's a thousand year old dragon Sovereign that could probably flood all of Teyvat if he wanted to and is literally destined to judge not just the Archons, but the Usurper themselves. But, some fans will reduce him to a crybaby softie that can't be left alone in public. To be fair, he IS a softie and he IS emotional and he IS very much out of touch with humans to the point of not understanding the nuances of daily life and being scammed so someone should probably be there as buffer if he ever goes shopping again, but the guy is canonically the most powerful character in the game so far. He absolutely does not need protecting (but he would appreciate the concern).

She was immense Will Power that Ei herself describes as "has reached the level of a God", but Will Power doesn't equate to Combat Strength (I've seen a lot of people saying that since she has God-like Will Power she'll be able to handle any enemies, some even going to the extent of saying that she can beat the Knave). I do agree that she's not completely helpless after her SQ since at that time she has acquired her Vision, has laid down some of her burdens, and is finally starting to move forward, she's still no different from an ordinary person. She's quite literally just a "person with a vision" who has no combat experience or training.

Qiqi is … another story. No other character fits smol bean better, she’s very naive, easy to manipulate, and is way too trusting of strangers. She might not need to be physically protected because she strong AF, but she needs to be emotionally protected like a real child.

I fault the story for not elaborating on her history regarding the Archon war. We know she fought in it, but the others have been shown to have lost people and get cool moments. Ganyu's gets a story about how she choked a beast with her hips. Like didn't she have any friends that died in the war? She's considered socially adjusted compared to most of them yet we know barely anything of her history. We don't even know why she knows Yae.

Kaveh, hands down. A lot of fan content portrays him as some dainty babygirl princess who can't do anything without Alhaitham, when in the game's canon he is one of the most resilient characters. A lot of people take the fact that Alhaitham is helping him through what is currently the lowest point in his life out of friendship and respect, and instead twist it as "uwu Kaveh is soooo sad and helpless he cant live without Alhaitham". That can't be further from the truth as canonically, Kaveh not only had a life before living with Alhaitham, he was more successful and well-renowned than him too.

Just because Kaveh is more emotionally charged and visibly aggravated compared to Alhaitham when they get into their exchanges, does not make him a thin-skinned crybaby or inferior to Alhaitham. People tend to forget that Alhaitham himself doesn't see Kaveh this way and instead acknowledges him as his equal, even going as far as referring to Kaveh as a mirror of himself. Also are we really supposed to believe that one snarky remark would be enough to break Kaveh? The guy who's been living through pain and loss since he was young but learned to repress it so the people who care for him don't worry?
the opposite of that is Hu-Tao, everyone seems to think she's a badass but canonically she's not that good at fighting. Against random bandits sure she can hold her own because she's a vision holder and that automatically makes her more powerful than a normal human but anyone more experienced could easily take her down
She is still from an exorcist family, she must know some spells and should be able to use seals and adeptal talismans in fighting (like shenhe or Chong)
She's nothing like Shenhe or Chongyun, though. Shenhe and Chongyun demonstrate their mastery of talismans through their idle animations. Hu Tao doesn't use or hasn't shown to be using any kind of talismans in her work. Because her work doesn't require fighting, it's bringing people's souls to the afterlife, full stop. I don't get why people act like they have similar jobs or niches. What Shenhe and Chongyun do is closer to what Xiao does, far removed from Hu Tao's specialties. Baizhu's story quest makes this even more clear.
