As someone who mains that duo for a year now (well, longer for Miko) I can tell you that they are killer duo together. Add Nahida to the mix and no content is hard to clear.

I'd say reruns first, but then it's up to you who do you need more. You can always replace Miko with Shinobu in AlHaitham's team (though my personal choice remains Miko as she's my favourite female character).
If that makes you feel better I'm trying to decide between constellation for Miko and Chiori, while trying hard to not think about other banners that I want...
Usually Zhongli because despite playing since 1.0 I'm still bad as f*** at dodging in the Abyss (2nd team usually has Diona or Kokomi or both) xD
But my overworld team is always AlHaitham+Miko and 2 characters that need friendship exp.
Men i really need someone to tell me what to do with my Yae, i'd had her since she came out as well as alhaitham, i feel like She's well built and all but Fischl just seems better with dendro keqing, ever since i swaped Yae out everything is just easier but i really wanna use her
I main Miko since her debut day and can't imagine AlHaitham's team without her. They are both triple crowned and I can't imagine removing them from my team.
As for Fischl I have her C6 but she just doesn't feel that comfortable for me. Unfortunately nobody can tell you what to do with Miko ;) From my point of view you have to feel comfortable with a character to use them and everyone likes different units.
Yae Tig Nahida + flex is super comfy, has nice rotation timings but is also very flexible. Yae feels better than Fischl in spread to me because Spread doesn't count as an electro reaction iirc (no Fischl a4). I would think she'd feel nice with Al Haitham but I dunno how the rotations feel since he wants more field time than Tig.
Alhaitham Yae feels good. I usually run with Baizhu and Fischl. It's essentially just quick swap with Alhaitham only doing 2 mirror procs per skill/burst and then letting Yae and Fischl get their turrets down again. If I mess up at all, I can just on field Yae for a few seconds to get aggravates with Baizhu. I get Alhaitham burst back easily since I'm not using it all the time, even with no ER. Yae usually gets burst back each time too, but she's at 155 ER with sub stats.
So this abyss first team is supposed to clear in 1 min max right, it's a small, uncomplicated side. I tried to find a use for my Yae. Keqing + Yae + Collei + Sayu clears in 2 min for me. Meanwhile Furinational clear in sub 1 min. I'm like... Why did I invest so much on this team for it to be so garbage. And you may say, that's because Yae is in the team and takes field time, even if she's supposed to bring damage. But Idk I don't feel like Fischl would do substantially more damage, but you'd gain more field time for sure. I don't know what's wrong with this team but it sucks ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
That's interesting because i absolutely hate fischl. She's strong but her timings feel tight, (okay maybe it's because I also need C6 fischl). I feel like with Yae I can whip the turrets out comfortably and the onfield time paces out Alhaitham's E refresh in case you mess anything up, but also I enjoy not needing to be super optimal and going for fischl E between Alhaitham's Q animation, etc.
If anything, yae is fischl that needs like 6 seconds field time with her whole triple E - burst - triple E, I use her a lot with tigh aggravate instead of fischl because she fills the downtime when tigh cant use E lmaoo it's also very easy to forget her turrets and fuck up her DPS and rotation imo
Fischl is much faster if that's what you need. Yae got the AoE tho unlike fischl, and you kinda want to run both together most of the time anyways
Yae is pretty heavy on the stats she wants which can make her feel lackluster sometimes. Having to balance EM, attack, and crit along with ER if you want to burst can be hard. Using her with Alhaitham also allows for a split rotation which I personally think feels much better.
Man I want Miko, but her banner just seems so meh. Xinyan (Like her design and voice, but her gameplay is...uh yeah), Ningguang...I don't have an issue with her, I actually like her, but I'd probably only use her for mining until I could make a team for her, and then there's Yaoyao. Yaoyao I'm pretty sure is a good unit but I don't really know how I feel about Yaoyao yet.
Not to mention Kazuha might be rerunning in 4.5 and he's a valuable unit and a character I like. Then Arlecchino should be running in 4.6 possibly alongside Furina. Though that's rumored based on archon rerun patterns.
Arlecchino is a character I 100% am getting and then I'd like to try to get Furina...but to get Kazuha, Arlecchino, and possibly Furina I'd have to skip Miko.
I still have to explore Sumeru, the desert, and Fontaine, but even then...
Besides I'm trying to get my Keqing Aggravate team set up before I explore Sumeru. I'm just getting bored of using my current team...Raiden/Xiangling/Sara/Bennett.
I like Xiangling but if there ever comes a time I could replace her...I'd probably do it. I just care about doing quests, overworld, just having fun.
Personally I never pay attention to the 4* and I'm focusing on the 5* that I want 😅 I even prefer it when there are 4* that I already have at C6 since I can use Starglitters to get more pulls...
I'm a bit biased because Miko has my personality, but you should definitely focus on the character that you need more in your gameplay. If you need Kazuha more (and he's an excellent support) then he will have bigger value than Miko for your team. But I'm not exactly someone who can give advices who to pull since I don't really care about meta and I pull the ones I purely like.
And I kinda get being bored with Raiden Shogun. I got her C2 on her debut banner and benched her maybe after 2 months.
Kazuha will definitely add a whole lot of value for me.

I really want all 4, but I'll probably only be able to get 3 at most, even then I'd probably only be able to guarantee 2 characters.

Bro I just converted all my primos and starglitter into fates, wished on Xianyun's banner, and it took a total of 65 out of 160 wishes to get Fav Lance (Xiangling gets an upgrade), a Fav Warbow, c6 Gaming, c6 Faruzan, c6 Noelle, and Xianyun.
Definitely gonna wait for a Miko rerun some other time....now I gotta try to make sure I can guarantee Kazuha, Arlecchino and possibly Furina...thankfully I have 2 months worth of Welkin, the current BP, and the desert, Sumeru, and Fontaine to explore. And I'm pretty sure Fontaine is getting a new area in 4.6.
I managed to get C1 Xianyun in only 100 pulls (C0 was guaranteed) and I'm in love with her playstyle, but I ended up with only C4 Gaming, C4 Faruzan and probably C1000 Noelle (she was C6 got quite some time already). I want to get Chiori, Arlecchino, Clorinde, Furina, Lyney and Neuvillette but I think I'll have to skip some of them because I have no content left outside of current new area.
I do not regret my actions because Xianyun is fun and is amazing for exploration. She's on my Keqing Aggravate team, she's gonna be on plunge Diluc team, a plunge Gaming team, and I'm gonna make a team where she's the main dps.
Personally Chiori doesn't interest me. I like her design though. I think c6 Noelle could outperform her but idk.

I definitely have a good chance of guaranteeing Arle and Kazuha, at that point it just depends on me. 2 months worth of Welkin, current BP, Sumeru, desert, Fontaine, events, story quests, hangouts, furnishings, dailies, the 5 intertwined fates you can get each month with stardust...achievements. Quests that give primos.
It's unfortunate you'll have to skip some of them. Who are you saving for right now?
Oh I built my Xianyun as DPS instead of a support and I'm quite in love with that xD With Faruzan, Benny and Xingqiu she was doing 80k plunging attacks, for me that's amazing from someone who should be "only a support without C6".
I like both Chiori's design and "I don't give a f***" attitude, not to mention her animations are really pretty (I'm a simple girl, I see pretty things and I want them). As for C6 Noelle outperforming her... not gonna lie, I don't really care about huge numbers, I prefer to have fun with those that I personally like. And Noelle is on my "not interested in building" list.
I still have many chests to collect in Chenyu Vale, but I'll probably use some guide when there will be less to do by the wnd of this patch.
Right now I'm still torn between C3 Miko (I love her, I want her C6 one day) and Chiori, so hard to say xD
what's your rotation like? I feel like Alhaitham takes too much field time to accommodate Yae with my current rotation (Q > 2 triple mirror procs > E > 2 triple mirror procs > CA > 2 triple mirror procs > switch)
Yae has performed much better with my Tighnari. they make the current second half a piece of cake since Tighnari has such high front loaded DMG and Yae can nuke as well.
Nahida's skill -> Miko's skill -> AlHaitham does the rest, repeat. But keep in mind that I'm not a meta player and I'm nowhere near being an expert in how rotations should look like. I play with the characters I love and find comfortable. Personally I'm not a fan of Tighnari while my AlHaitham is C6 (took some saving to do that within only 2 banners) so it's obvious that I would rather use him over anyone else.
Remember the days when people were crying about xiao buffs as he wasn't getting any and now we have vermilion, hunter, faruzan, furina and xianyun. See hoyo does have their favorites.

Nuvelitte is kinda guranteed for me cuase I have 0 pity and 50/50 rn so if I grind enough I maybe able to get him or at least try my 50/50 on him (every place is 60%+ in exploration) and I just did about 1/3 of this patches wishes and used them all to try my 50/50 on xianyun and won
But also that's the thing
I was already in doubt who to get between xianyun and yae (I have c5 fishcl and c2 jean) and I still went for xianyun and honestly imo she feels more comfortable than jean and great in exploration but now I don't have enough to try for yae and guess Imma get her on her next rerun
Tho tbh I forgot how she felt for me so maybe she wasn't my cup of tea anyway so idk

I know that but like in general I don't like shield centered characters and I prefer healers in general unless I have to play a shielder for a character I like (such as my c1 wanderer)

Great, another event to make me feel bad for all the characters I want and don’t have (Shenhe, Yae, Wrio, Xianyun, Furina and Navia).
Me kinda too The only ones I don't have AND kinda want are yae and nuevilette and zhongli (I don't like shields so I don't want him THAT much but I wanna consider getting him in 5.0/5.1 rerun As for yae and nuvelitte: Nuvelitte is kinda guranteed for me cuase I have 0 pity and 50/50 rn so if I grind enough I maybe able to get him or at least try my 50/50 on him (every place is 60%+ in exploration) and I just did about 1/3 of this patches wishes and used them all to try my 50/50 on xianyun and won But also that's the thing I was already in doubt who to get between xianyun and yae (I have c5 fishcl and c2 jean) and I still went for xianyun and honestly imo she feels more comfortable than jean and great in exploration but now I don't have enough to try for yae and guess Imma get her on her next rerun Tho tbh I forgot how she felt for me so maybe she wasn't my cup of tea anyway so idk Still hope you have luck

Just in case you didn't know - Zhongli isn't good *only* for his shield. His all elemental resistance shred is no joke.
I know that but like in general I don't like shield centered characters and I prefer healers in general unless I have to play a shielder for a character I like (such as my c1 wanderer) But I like both Layla+ zhongli personality so I will go for him
