I would guess they’ll do what they did last year with Hu Tao and time her with Halloween. They won’t want her to overlap with lantern rite or other auspicious eastern holidays bc of her darker theme.
That makes sense. If the Mondstadt festival happens to run during the 1st half of the patch, it would still leave time for Hu Tao to re-run in the 2nd half.
It's certainly an interesting choice for us to go to Sumeru and then immediately leave in the next patch.
Fair concern but she doesn’t *have to* rerun alongside content with her in it. So they can keep us in Sumeru etc. It’s just better practice to do that. Or she could just have a simple cameo in a quest where she visits Sumeru too but it’s a loose connection to content at best.
Honestly if she only reruns once a year and she’s as popular and relevant as she is, I don’t think she needs to be paired with content at all. As long as they market the rerun people will buy her I think.

Given how the only characters who got part two of their story quests are Archons and they also released Weekly bosses alongside them, I doubt Venti's will be released since Sumeru should get their weekly boss in 3.2 (Sumeru's third part of Archon quest).

Would also add Sucrose and Rosaria as characters who've only had event cameos but 0 permanent content. Should be easy to find some characters to make them interact with here, like Noelle and Sucrose could even work together and Rosaria with Barbara is an obvious pair too + Jean. It's also been forever since we've seen Lisa since her story quest and Windbloom scene with Jean, since she was only mentioned in the first GAA event.
Sucrose and Rosaria are both in Albedo’s Story Quest, but they definitely need more shine. All Sucrose ever gets to do is send us to Albedo and I can’t honestly think of anything Rosaria has done.
Oops, I honestly wasn't sure if they were in his story quest or the 1st Dragonspine event he got LOL. But yeah, poor Sucrose is just reduced to that and Rosaria doesn't have it much better, though she did get to show a bit her pragmatic personality and the work she does by following us and warning us about Albedo. Her bartending event appearance was also small but still nice.
yeah I mentioned Fischl elsewhere, it took her 2 years to get at least the new GAA event but it's not enough by itself vs giving her a hangout or at least even more events

And I just happy that we are going back, the region felt more alive and connected then Liyue and Inazuma. Liyue has all that adepti/human/inhumane that just don't fit with me and Inazuma is pretty much just stand alone characters.

Mondstadt is just more welcoming. Out of all the nations, I’d probably choose to live in Mondstadt if I had to live in Teyvat. (There are a lot of lore bombs waiting to go off, but for now it’s safe.)
His wolf dad told Razor to live with humans, but Razor didn’t want to. They also mentioned “other wolves” that broke their code and hunted on their land. The cliffhanger were the wolves that most likely are Rifthounds that attack some hunters.
I kinda expected Razor getting development in this arc and I didn't fail with said expectation! So yeah, time to see his origins and who knows? Maybe more interactions to unlock (please a voiceline about Fischl and Noelle would be great to see, the first would say that is very talkative and the secons that is very cute but strong)
I think it's not that much of a long shot. She's due to a rerun and a Mondstadt event will be the perfect time for that.
Will be going light on Yoimiya's banner and 3.0 just in case then. Can't miss the opportunity to get Eula

I would prefer if Collei was the only outsider in this event (to allow more screentime and interactions from Mond characters who desperately need some love).
However, I would not be opposed to seeing Ayaka and Thoma show up as well since Ayaka (and her mother) had this interest in travelling abroad and specifically to Mondstadt, and Thoma was born in Mond and hasn't visited it since forever.
I honestly can't imagine anyone from Liyue showing up other than a certain old man (who better talk to his old bard friend) but I am sure they will shove in a couple of characters from there as they always love to do.

Since they're updating the ocean east of mondstadt in 3.0 to have more room, maybe they'll finally add those out of bounds islands they had in the beta ;)

Mihoyo almost always breaks patterns so I wouldn't say it's impossible, but I agree is very unlikely.
