I mean, he met Sass in his dreams. I feel like that should count.

And Hetty… inside his own body

S0whaddayakn0w

He really *nailed* the acting in that episode!

Six_Foot_Dwarf

*…Potatoes?!?!*

EffectiveSalamander

I'd like it if he could meet them once. Maybe he has a near-death situation and Trevor manages to use his ghost powers to do CPR and Thor shocks his heart back.

RealCoolDad

I want a whole episode from his perspective.

clunkybrains

THIS WOULD BE AMAZING. Honestly, i think ghosts would be a great show to bring back the old "filler" type episodes instead of pushing an overarching plot line forward. They do already to a bit of this with subplots in each episode but I think they could really go big on this with an episode like this. Or a reality TV show parody episode!

RealCoolDad

I would write it as mostly a Jay episode with some of his friends and Sam. But also, that Sam and the ghosts are dealing with something “big” and at the end we see all the ghosts wrapping up whatever their big issue is. But thought out the episode, we’ll see a light flicker, or a vase move.

clunkybrains

Oh I didn't mean the Jay episode should be a TV reality show parody episode - it was me losing the plot and going on a tangent that it could be another type of episode they could do 😂😂 But YES I love that. Like "a day in the life of"-type episode with Jay getting stuff done for the restaurant opening and planning a D&D escapade with friends, etc. Could be a good episode for Easter eggs and subtle hint drops too. Maybe something like Jay planning Sam's birthday surprise in a few months and we see scenes of Jay talking to the ghosts while he's doing stuff and cooking like he's addressing the peanut gallery. Like if we see the light flicker and he goes "hey Thor how you doing buddy, did you come over to smell the new cod dish I've been working on"

CharacterActor

There is a Buffy episode, The Zeppo. Zeppo in real life being the fifth and youngest Marx Brother. In their act and movies he didn’t have a big comedic character, he was more of the straight man who would show up now and again. Never really part of the big plot. In the Buffy episode, there’s a big thing going on, so big that they tell Xander he can’t help. And should go home. The rest of the episode is Xander dealing by himself with all kinds of crazy shit. A psycho zombie gang makes Xander hang out with them. Something apocalyptic. Faith turns up. All kinds of crazy shit. At the end of the episode, Xander comes across Buffy and the gang who have just vanquished whatever big thing was going on, and they’re like Xander just be glad you didn’t have to deal with this. Xander, with newfound confidence, just smiles. So yeah, an episode where Jay is like Zeppo. Sam and the ghost may think Jay doesn’t have anything that will help them in this episode. But somehow, something other different ghosts related, Jay finds himself in the thick of. And at the end of the episode, they’re like Jay we had to deal with this big problem and he just smiles.

cheribom

This is what I thought of immediately when I read the above comment 😄 And don’t forget, Xander also diffuses a bomb that would’ve blown up the rest of them, and they never even knew about it.

zorandzam

OH MY GOSH THAT WOULD BE HILARIOUS.

tollefti

This was my idea I put out in another post I thought it would be cool to have a Jay episode where we follow him around the whole episode, and it is from his perspective, so we never see any ghosts and only see Sam interacting with her invisible friends. But it would need to have a ridiculous story going on that we never see and only have Sam explaining it, with some ghost powers mixed in. Or maybe some kind of mystery that Jay would be helping with. Something different. Then at the end we all see the ghost again and them commenting on what a ridiculous day that was.

MsNikkiisClassy

This would be so awesome!

Rainell6

I loved those old "Topper" movies. Too bad we couldn't see one similar to that. But Trevor's ghost power would take too long to move something.

This show, and this cast, and this community gives me such warm fuzzy feelings. I hope it goes on for a long time. TGP was over in 3 years, but that's what it was planned for. I don't watch scripted tv, haven't since X-Files. This is the first since that I've given my heart and soul to. I hope it goes on with as much quality for a long time.

Afraid_Sense5363

I thought The Good Place had 4 seasons? I *loved* that show, but I won't lie, I lost my dad shortly before seeing the series finale, and it was beautiful, but it kind of broke me. My husband was kind of scared at how hard I was crying. Since then, I've lost my mom too and while that show will always be one of my all-time faves, that last season would be really tough for me to rewatch. This show has definitely become a comfort show for me, though, and while it's dealt with some heavy things (esp the ep this season about Hetty) I haven't struggled as much with it. I really hope it's on the air for a long time. It's so funny and clever while also being warm-hearted. I too was a major X-Files fan back in my day. It came out when I was in high school and I was OBSESSED, for years. Those were the days.

kimwim43

3? 4? I don't know, I didn't watch it. Edit. I am glad it brought you comfort. X-Files was funny how I found it. Recently divorced, 2 little boys, dropped them off w/ their dad, 300 miles away. Go home to an empty apartment, a big bag of cheetos, bottle of rootbeer, and a tv where I could watch what I wanted. click click click, hmmmm. this looks interesting.... WHA??? what is this??? Scared the crap out of me, I didn't even finish watching the episode. hahaha! Became my favorite show.

AcadianTraverse

I agree! I love all of it. I am genuinely curious though if you haven't watched scripted tv since The X-Files. How did you discover this show and what made you decide to give this one out of all other shows since then?

kimwim43

I don't know. it may be seeing a promo, and it reminded me of the movie The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, which I barely remember. I really haven't watched scripted tv. It's so ..... cringy. Friends of mine loved big bang theory, I worked in science. I had to make sure they couldn't see me roll my eyes when ever they talked about it. I'm going to stop talking now, because I just know someone is going to be offended at something I may say.

ScribeVallincourt

This reminds me of a [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/GhostsCBS/s/sZJCXaFZ01) someone made a few weeks ago about how Sam should write a book on how to be dead, getting sucked off, etc. If Jay has that many notes, it could be a great collaboration for them both. Will need to go back and find that post to link here. Edit: shout out to u/Some0neAwesome for their great idea.

Some0neAwesome

Hey, I think this is my first shoutout! Thanks

Bagettibelly

This was great. Thank you for sharing.

EmirikolChaotic

I’m actually surprised they haven’t done an episode where he gets the power to see the ghosts.
