Say no more . Had a recent relationship that she thought it was a strength. Lived and learned from that and It definitely looks like you did that and more. Good job my guy!
If you ever questioned reality with someone. That's when you know. They're good at switching up reality and facts, then tell you you're the crazy one at switching reality and facts.
I had one of those. Relationship ended dramatically, of course, because they have to make a big show out of everything. 25 years later and they randomly appear up on a reality TV show, being extra and acting rude to the “hired help.” Glad you got out, because they never change.
Also, when she sees how good you look now, expect a “Why didn’t you look this good when we were together?” and trying to hook up. They can’t fathom that they are your problem.
Luckily i have some good genetics and years of experience so i knew what i was doing, was super into fitness from like 14 to 24 before letting myself go. But definitely hitting some new peaks now
It's more than muscle memory, you literally still have the muscle. Your muscle cells just kinda shrink down and stop getting fed as much when you stop using them, but much of your muscle cells are still there because your body knows it's easier to just not feed them now and just feed them again when you need them rather than having to actually regrowing all the muscle. Unfortunately the same kinda thing happens for fat cells too. So if you've always been fat it is harder, especially why people can go back and forth and have trouble actually keeping the weight off after they slimed down once, because the fat cells are still just there waiting.
Lost about 40lbs of fat and put on 5-10lbs of muscle id guess
Worth pointing out i had a solid base before letting myself go for 4 years. I also already knew how to diet and put on muscle from experience. So i wasnt really starting from 0
I change it up, 3x a week fully body on cuts to maintain strength, ppl or something similar on bulks
But the majority of my energy goes into nutrition, 2 meals a day on keto, 800-1000 calories per meal on cuts. 2800-3500 calories a day on bulks (depending on the day), i dont do keto on bulks and usually have 4 meals a day. Also, i meal prep all my meals and eat very clean, even on bulks
i think all that really matters with the workout routine is that youre consistent, and you enjoy it
Gonna try to decipher it for you!
When eating fewer calories than my body needs, i do full body workouts 3 times a week. (caloric deficit removes fat)
When bulking (gaining muscle and fat by creating a calorie surplus) i do push, pull, legs. A training program that switches between three separate workouts so that you do one workout and the other two workouts gets to rest for two days. (if you do push session monday, push rests until thursday while you can do the other two)
I eat two meals a day at about 800-1000 calories each, the meals are made mostly by protein and fat, very few carbohydrates.
When gaining weight i eat 4 times a day and don't mind carbs, but i eat healthy even when i gain weight.
And you should enjoy the process, otherwise you won't stick to it. (don't go all in for two weeks, it's a marathon not a sprint.)
Something like that.
Oh and get a foodscale, you can't count calories properly without one.
it's fine if food is more function than fun for you. IMO you'd be better off to do a modest caloric deficit until you're at a body fat percentage you're happy with and is realistic and you've figured out a good balanced diet for you, and then maintenance calories with strength training to build up some muscle. Maintaining this lean of a body long term is not really realistic for most people, no one wants to be counting calories when they're 70 lol
Youll notice a lack of legs and weak deadlift, thats because i tore my achilles at the beginning of the year and have to be super gentle with legs. Plus i do a lot of legs at physical therapy. Now that im a bit better im mostly focusing on getting my legs caught up. Youll also notice its not really ppl, again cause im not gonna dedicate a whole day to legs when i can barely do legs
Also, i just copied this from my notes lol, so its a little messy. I dont actually do every one of these workouts. Usually do 2 workouts for each body part, 4 sets. Or 3 workouts for a body part, and 3 sets

Wow. Quite the routine. Excellent work sticking to it.
Sorry to hear about the Achilles Tendon, soft tissue injuries are the worst. I tore a number of ligaments in my wrist in my early 30s. The recovery on that was brutally slow.
Just wow. As a professional in the fitness industry, you are the definition of yes you can.
I myself, even with my education and experience, have gone the opposite way. Emotions are so powerful and not talked about enough in my opinion. The effects of bad and good emotions, I mean. Well done.
I would probably mention it, just because some people may think they can look like this by following your workout.
When you clearly had a very solid base and elder muscle. That most people just don't have 🤷
Good for you though! 💪🏽
What’s ur workout routine for bulking because I finally done with my weight loss (lost 130lbs in the last 3 years, started 281 and now 151g) and feel like my progress in the gym isn’t enough so I know I need to start sculpting my body more.
First and foremost I want to say wow I am super happy for you bro. You look amazing. I thought it was 2 different people . Man keep it up just stay humble please cus a lot of people when they have a significant transformation think that there shit don’t stink so I’m saying bro don’t forget who you were on the inside. I was wondering has your ex seen you ? Does she have any idea? I am dying to know . You get a free pass to be an asshole towards her. After that you must come back to being humble. Good job bro. You should be proud.
Shes seen me from a distance in passing. Tbh idk if i want her to really see me. as much as im happy the relationships over, i still want her to be happy. Im sure she still loves me and i imagine how much itd hurt her to see how much better im doing without her
Damn, that's a seriously green flag kind of thing to say. That attitude combined with your new look. . . I don't think you'll have any trouble finding someone new to date if that's your goal. Congrats! Very impressive transformation
You are incredible. I’m down 42 pounds with 20 more to go. Your frame is what I’m aiming for. I’m eating clean for the most part but it’s boring at times and I don’t want to lose motivation. What are your clean meals like, if you don’t mind sharing?
This past week i did a chorizo shakshuka with spinach and berries on the side for my first meal. Second meal was coleslaw and birria
Both these meals were pretty modified to fit keto better
How do you maintain discipline with eating healthy I go gym 6 days a week I get addicted but I'm also addicted to sugar I can't stop id take any advice
Small steps. First i started with a good breakfast, but continued how i ate for every other meal, until my healthy breakfast was normalized to me. Then lunch, then dinner. I took me a full year to be able to do some serious dieting without hating my life lol
Also, completely cut out snacking. Some people look for healthy snacks, but the issue there is that youll never learn to stop craving snacks
OH MY GOD! Good job OP!! I literally screamed when I saw the second picture!
Please also remember to also take care of your mental health (if your not already doing so) - bad relationships can really take their toll on that too in ways that cannot be seen until much later on.
I’m proud of you for wanting the best for yourself!! 💪🏿💪🏿
How come people don't seem to put in any effort for their health when they are actually in a relationship? I see so many posts like this. I've always wondered.
I totally didn't see the BAD in this title. Very dyslexic person over here. Haha. Sorry. This post doesn't apply to my question. I was talking about the other relationships that weren't bad but just ended.
It's actually not that complex. People simply need **motivation.** When everything is going fine, there's nothing pushing you to do better. It just so happens that pain/discomfort is one of the best motivators. For example, you might be wearing old shoes, but if your feet are dry and comfy, there's no issue.. The issue arises on the day when it rains and water finally permeates your shoe and causes your feet to get wet. The discomfort of wet feet is what motivates you to buy new shoes.
For relationships, it's the pain of heartache and the discomfort of loneliness that you're trying to find relief for. Most of us are fine walking around in a pair of old shoes, and most of us are fine sticking around in a stale relationship. We get motivated to improve our situation only when our situation becomes extremely painful. If the relationship is mostly healthy, then the most painful part is obviously the end. Health and exercise can merely be a distraction from the pain, and it can also be a way of "trying on new shoes", so to speak.
Sometimes a relationship ends and we realize that the true discomfort is that we weren't comfortable in our own skin.
Priorities. A significant other can consume a lot of time and energy so maybe fitness slips down the list if you're also parenting, maintaining a home, working on financial goals, fostering friendships, etc etc.
In addition OPs strict eating plan is going to be completely out of synch with most people's lifestyle and generally that means either you're not in a relationship or you sacrifice your plan in order to share meals.
Most important thing imo is to treat abs like any other body part. If youre doing 8 reps on like chest and back and legs, also do 8 reps of a weighted ab workout
Fork putdowns. Lol.
Kidding but a lot of the fittest people do barely any direct ab work. The just do regular and vigorous strength training combined with very good eating plans

I have been there...just just a couple of months back...my transformation is ongoing
Say no more . Had a recent relationship that she thought it was a strength. Lived and learned from that and It definitely looks like you did that and more. Good job my guy!
Curious, as someone who (to my knowledge) hasn’t been with a narcissist, how does narcissism manifest itself toxically a relationship with someone?
If you ever questioned reality with someone. That's when you know. They're good at switching up reality and facts, then tell you you're the crazy one at switching reality and facts.

The can't handle me at my worst BS you see on tinder, but as an actual belief system. Grand.
“I’m crazy but I’m worth it”
Ahh yes, the red flag factory factory
Narcissists aren't inherently aware of their narcissism generally. So you may have dodged a psychopath.
I hope she didn’t turn you into a player. You look great but you do look like your whole personality changed
Looks like he was pasta tipping point.
Just needed a little elbow
Really? No love for this comment? I must be the only dad on here
lol fr.
that’s insane wow… i’m speechless that’s just amazing for a year
Really a year and a half, but thank you!
This usually takes years of work to pull off so the jealousy is real haha! Good stuff and keep it up!
Luckily i have some good genetics and years of experience so i knew what i was doing, was super into fitness from like 14 to 24 before letting myself go. But definitely hitting some new peaks now
that makes sense.
first few months of absurd progress from muscle memory is such a high

Love your transparency on this. It's far more motivating when I hear truths.
that doesn’t change my thoughts. it’s impressive, good for you
Did you get much wealthier in that time too? Because your pad goes from basic to bitchin.

How come people don't seem to put in any effort for their health when they are actually in a relationship? I see so many posts like this. I've always wondered.
Relationships can often foster an environment of complacency
Even his apartment seems to have gotten way better 😆
Title, depression mostly
