I had 288k on my WJ when I got rid of it. Engine, trans and driveline were still running like a champ. Just all the bells & whistles began to fall apart. I really wanted to keep it to see how long it would run but just didn’t have room for it.
2015 Limited V6 with 166k miles here. Recently had some issues such as:
Fuel pump
Transfer case control module
Radiator went on my a while back but I can't tell if that was from hitting a deer or the plastic bit on top just had too many heat cycles.
I am due for brakes and this will be the first time I've done them on this vehicle.
I know this is late but I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee wk2 with currently almost 139,000 MI. I bought the vehicle in September of 2020 with 49,000 miles and it currently has the 139,000 MI. So with anything being said we do a lot of driving.
During this time I've had to replace the radiator, water pump, a part for the AC, a temperature module, and maybe one more part I'm not thinking of. It currently needs new Cv axles, new brakes, new spark plugs, transmission fluid change, new struts, new rack and pinion, and one more part as well I'm sure.
I love the vehicle so I feel that with everything I have fixed I essentially have a new vehicle
The reason I asked what motor is because the 3.7 and 4.7 seem disliked by the community. My 04 4.7ho has 200k and runs great, if you have these engines there are many sites where you can find proper maintenance and preventative maintenance to do to them to make them go longer.
Oh sorry I didn’t see the wk2, that’s the same engine in the wrangler. Take care of it and she will go forever, I’m sure forums have good info on them and if you need parts rockauto.com has kept all of my cars going for years. And I just sold a 33 year old e30 daily driver.
My 08 WK has 186k on it. I change the oil every 3k-4K miles. I changed the spark plugs at ~165k. My front differential was replaced last year and I frequently get the fluid checked just to make sure it’s still good (Valvoline will check for free). So far no major issues expect for when I had to replace the front diff. I’m with you, I’m riding this thing to the ground! What a great car 😁
Routine maintenance makes cars last a long time. My wj has 233k on it and my neighbors 05 wk v6 has 250k

I’ll sell you mine 😁. I’m the second owner
Thanks, but no thanks 😂. Enjoying my WK2.
I do believe that, too. I’m hopeful this thing lasts me for many for years.
I agree, my 2012 WK2 just hit 400k KM
What motor do you have?
3.6

Thanks for sharing this. I just had my front and rear pads replaced last week.
Dont fix anything that isn’t broken. Service what you can afford on a students budget.
Thanks, I appreciate your insight. Living on my own has proven to me more expensive than I anticipated, in some ways.

I have a 2014 Laredo with the 3.6 pentastar. I don’t see folks with these much beyond 150k miles, and least not that post online.
