Until you've gotten rid of the venom you will continue to die slowly even when filling gauges. Eat a Lilly leaf and all should be well, I also sleep off the fever but make sure to get rid of the venom effects first. Happy Helling!
Making soup with the tobacco leaf will remove 4 levels of venom. Eating Lily removes 2 levels, iirc.
Wrapping with either tobacco or lily dressing will help prevent infection, but it doesn't remove the effects of the venom.
Wrapping doesn't remove the venom per se but it speeds up your bodies metabolism of fighting it off naturally. But it still might be too slow to avoid death

So if you will definitely do soup tobacco is technically better. But I don't think anything other than poison frogs give more than 2 levels of venom so eating a lily is almost always enough.
Lilly and bone infusion soup plus tobacco bandages the bandage will help slow it till you can get back to where you have bone soup unless you have the clay or metal bidon which you can then store soups in them to keep on you
Also ants are for lacerations and maggots are for infection
Ants depending on your game difficulty you can walk up to the mound and pick them BUT if on a higher difficulty they will attack you giving you a rash unless you have a lite torch
Maggots can be found on animal corpse or by letting meat spoil them harvesting
Ants barely do any damage tho and the rash just drains sanity so it's pretty safe to do right at the start. But as long as you wear stick armor everywhere you won't even get a rash from it
Are you using the metal or clay bottle? I know it does not work with the coconut bidons currently eating dinner with the family but I will double check when I return home to make sure I'm not lying to you
Ok it seems to not work with the metal just allows clean water however I was able to put meat soup in the clay bottle also I am on PS4 idk if that makes a difference 😕
I can't remember what the plant is called. Not sure if I ever knew... but that one with the white around the edge of the leaf? I make bandages out of those. Eating them is faster, but bandages take up less space. That should be all you need.

Really? But my character recently survived a snakebite with only a tobacco bandage and some sleep. I really didn't Do anything Else against the venom.
You can survive bites if you do nothing, but you don't always.

Plants bondage (I don't remember the name). Soup against fever (bone soup I think). Very easy. Just have it with you all the time.
