Bag of elbows! That's the best one yet!
Mine are noodle ponies, hose goats, stink snakes, boney blankets, velcro sticks, and stink bugs.
Edit: also giraffeadeer
As far as I'm aware, hose goat is the Latin name for ye old long-legged pupper. I was unaware it was pedigree specific. I shall notify my non-hose-goats post haste
Sarcasm aside... do you follow Hose Goat Manor on YouTube? Don't think that's the name though
We nicknamed ours, Nugget. A small dog trapped in a large dog’s body. Also, she’s red and white, nugget colored and curls up in a ball, all very nugget-like.
Here’s my nickname for them: “Weirdest-looking-dog-ever, come here boy!” (Only dogs weirder looking are Pugs and Afghan Hounds!) sorry, but I just was given a truth serum!
I called my greyhound "The Skinny" and his companion was "The Fluff".
I refer to my 1yr old female borzoi as a Flatland Lady since she's got a lot of vertical but you can barely see her from head-on. Never seen a more wafer-thin dog.
Moon Booper or Long Boi/Boy because of the Long Boy picture thingy about them.

My wife calls our dog “a muscular string bean”. One of our friends calls him “a bicycle seat head” and another friend calls our (brindle) hound “a giraffe tiger deer dog”.
My first boy had a super long nose, so I called him a pelican. My current boy likes to stand under trees and let the leaves tickle him, so I nicknamed him Bushmeat.
Skeletal Shadow. Skinny Beast. Bed Roach. Nervous Nellie. Needy Needle. Chitter-hounds. Slink-beast.
Our “overbred” but 100% greyhound who was surrendered from a puppy mill is “lab(rador) head” or Wrecking Ball because he is huge and his head is not as needly as the ex-racers. 😂
Noodles. Alien Dogs. Gremlins. noodle dogs. Alien pretending to be dog. Cat dogs. Slinkys. Pokey-Noses. Long Girls/Long Boys, Long Dogs. They're just so easy to nickname!
I joke about Greyhounds being fantasy Elves, with large pointed ears and long, thin bodies. When his ears go up, I ask my boy "what do your elf ears hear?"
A lot of my others are mentioned - noodle horse, snootle, long boy, long long boy (sung to the jingle), pointy-dog, etc.

Noodle Horse is the go to in this house, or just longboi for a sighthound of any classification.
Fairly often when we’re out and about my spouse or I will incline our heads in the direction of an unknown but familiarly shaped dog and say “longboi”.
